The mission of Gaelic Park is to preserve and promote the culture and heritage of Ireland – the Irish national games, the music, dance, language, literature, theatre, art, and religion of Ireland.

The Emerald Room
This luxurious room features sparkling crystal chandeliers, two oak bars enhanced with hand carved glass mirrors, an extra-large hardwood dance floor and elevated stage, and an audio visual system. A private bridal suite is also available for your use. Minimum guest guarantee on Friday and Sunday night is 200 on Saturday night the guest guarantee is 225. Maximum guest number for sit down dinner and reception is 450.

The Tara Room
The Tara Room features two oak bars with antique mirrors, two sets of washrooms, a hardwood dance floor and stage, and an audio visual system. A private bridal suite is also available for your use. Minimum guest guarantee on Friday and Sunday is 150 guests and on Saturday night the guest guarantee is 175. Maximum guest number for sit down dinner and reception is 280. In addition the Tara Room leads onto a covered patio surrounded by a pergola, waterfall, shrubs and seasonal flowers.

The Celtic Room
The Celtic Room can host parties of up to 100 guests and its location on the second floor gives it privacy, while still offering guests its own washrooms and large oak bar. The Celtic Room is easily accessed by elevator and is an ideal room for more intimate wedding celebrations, anniversary parties or showers.

Unprofessional & poor communication
I procrastinated writing this review for over 2 mos. because I didn’t want to relive this stress lol. But, this is an honest account for anyone considering Gaelic Park for their wedding. Poor communication, lack of professionalism, & inadequate internal coordination left us frustrated. When we signed our contract, we worked with the banquets coordinator who had over a decade of experience here. She left shortly after we signed & we were never formally introduced to her replacement, only learning of the change when I called months later. From that point on, communication was difficult, requiring multiple attempts, long hold times, even calls rerouted back to the main desk. The “hand holding every step of the way” vibe marketed on their website didn’t occur. I initiated almost all communication & had to remind them twice to schedule our tasting & approve our floor plan. It genuinely felt like we were forgotten, just 1 of the many weddings this season. The 1st major issue involved the bridal suite. During our tour, I was told we could get ready there. About 7 mos. before the wedding, while booking hair & makeup, the new coordinator assured me on the phone that we could access it “as early as we need it.” This was reiterated again at our tasting. Our vendor timelines were based entirely on this information. However, the week of the wedding, a second, newer banquets manger/coordinator, appeared into the mix and said we were no longer allowed to get ready in the suite until a couple hours before the ceremony. This reversal was DAYS BEFORE the wedding, despite multiple confirmations, & caused significant anxiety & last min. logistical changes for our vendors, wedding party, & family. This could & should have been avoided with accurate information & consistent internal communication. Lesson learned: get everything in writing! The 2nd issue occurred after the wedding. We were told multiple times that we could retrieve our decor the day after the wedding. At the end of the night, a floor manager informed us that everything had to be picked up only 9-10 am. Despite the inconvenience literally the day after our wedding, my husband & I arrived only to find no banquet staff present & their office locked. The staff present was kind but just as confused as we were. Another example of internal miscommunication! When we finally retrieved our belongings, our custom bar menu signs were missing. I was going to offer them to the venue to use for future events but they helped themselves. Additionally, we used an audio guest book & clearly labeled the shipping box “Do not throw out.” This was the only box we did not receive back. I had to quickly find a replacement to ship it back before our honeymoon due to their error. Lastly, multiple guests reported that the coordinator was unprofessional, rude, & snappy with them. Professionalism toward guests is a baseline expectation. I’m not looking for anything in writing this, in fact I’m relieved to never talk to them again. Luckily, despite these issues, the wedding went well & everything came together in the end. However, the unnecessary stress caused by unprofessional conduct & poor communication was a significant & avoidable headache. For these reasons, I would not recommend this venue. If you move forward, ensure everything is documented in writing. Their “contract” is an invoice bundled with food package details and does not protect you from last min. changes or conflicting information.
Wedding Venue
Chicago Gaelic Park was an excellent choice for our wedding venue. Their communication was prompt, efficient, and they were available by email or phone whenever we needed them. The ballroom was beautiful, budget-friendly, and well-maintained. They were able to accommodate our large wedding of over 400 guests, the food was excellent, and the bartenders were on top of things so no one had to wait in lines. A bonus was the patio bar that was open late which our wedding guests all loved after our reception ended.
Beautiful, easy to work with, details forgotten
Beautiful venue and stunning for the price compared to a lot of locations. Really easy to work with but we found ourselves repeating details A LOT and yet some of them got lost anyways - for example, I had made a full allergy list for the reception organized by table, and yet staff brought me (the bride) food I am dangerously allergic to. It was fixed quickly but annoying because I’d spent so much time preparing this and details got lost anyways. This happened in multiple ways. Several things—ceremony set up, rehearsal timeline, etc—were easily fixed, but shouldn’t have needed to be fixed in the first place, given the amount of prep we did.
