When you celebrate your wedding or special event at Bay Pointe, you and your guests will experience distinct personalized service centered around you and your dreams. Conveniently located between Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo or Chicago and Detroit, Bay Pointe Inn overlooks the islands of Gun Lake and offers a variety of unique onsite event venues. The Lakefront Pavilion, BoatHouse Villa and the all new Bay Pointe Woods, are each exceptionally designed and comfortable event spaces. As a flexible all-season, venue, our events and banquet teams specialize in vibrant spring weddings, lavish summer ceremonies, twilight autumn weddings and indoor winter weddings where up to 300 guests are warmed by a floor to ceiling fireplace. Each of our unique venue spaces has been designed to ensure a successful event by enjoying a variety of event styles and effortless entertaining with family and friends.

Lakefront Pavilion
The Bay Pointe wedding promise is to make your special day amazing from the time you, your wedding party and guests arrive.
A unique waterfront setting for your dream wedding located on the water with seating up to 200 guests with over 3,000 square feet of adjacent lawn space. The space is surrounded by lush landscaping, a variety of perennials and seasonal flowers and features an outdoor gas fireplace, patio, gas torches, granite bar, ceiling mounted gas heaters, and clear sides we lower in the event of inclement weather to ensure total guest comfort.

All of nature’s natural beauty is brought to life and embraced in a single venue at Bay Pointe Woods, exuding sophistication, exquisite cuisine, and exceptional service — making it the ideal wedding venue.

BoatHouse Villa

Steeped in history and lavished with innovative updates, this exquisite Gun Lake Estate boasts 125’ of all-sport lake frontage. Built in 1886 this 5,000 sq. ft. ageless-beauty is comfortably elegant, magnificently custom, and totally endearing. When hosting an event at the BoatHouse Villa, the ceremony, patio and courtyard setup for the day of your wedding is included in the rental fee.

The Villa sleeps 15 with 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths a loft and gourmet kitchen. The spacious furnished balcony offers sunrise and sunset views. The covered lakefront veranda offers a firewall and private dock. Game room has a pool table, shuffleboard table and bar, a second outdoor cabana bar is in the fountain courtyard. The grounds feature beautiful flower gardens and guests have access to all Bay Pointe Inn resort amenities.
Fireside Banquet Room
A flexible all-season venue
The Fireside Banquet Room is a perfect indoor space for intimate weddings, rehearsal dinners, and a variety of social functions, seating capacity is up to 60 guests and features a grand 12’ fireplace and adjacent lakefront patio. An iPod docking station, portable bar, kitchenette, hand-held microphones, surround sound, a 144” drop down screen, ceiling mounted LCD-HD Projector, and free Wi-Fi is available.

From our first conversation with Bay Pointe, we knew we had found our dream wedding location. Their team was prompt and thorough in answering every question we had, and they even thought of concerns before we could ask. The lakefront setting with its gorgeous gardens created the perfect backdrop for our celebration, and the staff's attention to detail made the entire planning process seamless. They went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly on our wedding day, handling all the logistics so we could just enjoy the moment. Bay Pointe truly simplified what could have been a stressful planning experience, and we can't recommend them enough to other couples.

Best Day Ever
Bay Pointe has been incredible from start to finish. Kathryn was responsive and flexible with all our requests, making sure we had everything we needed leading up to the big day. On the wedding day itself, our day-of coordinator kept things flowing smoothly and made sure my husband and I actually ate and drank throughout the celebration. The venue itself is stunning and nothing like the typical Michigan barn you see everywhere—it has this vibrant, relaxed feel that made our day truly special. Every penny was worth it, and we would recommend Bay Pointe 1000 times over to any couple looking for a gorgeous space with a team that genuinely cares.

Wedding of our dreams!
We hosted our wedding at Bay Pointe Woods on April 25, 2026, and it truly meant the world to us. The staff was incredible from beginning to end. Spencer was so helpful and answered every question we had along the way, which made planning so much less stressful. On the day of the wedding, Gabe was awesome and helped everything go so smoothly. One of the things we loved most was having everyone stay on site. The Tennyson Cottage was also the perfect bridal suite area. We had perfect weather too!!

A miracle wedding
My fiancé, Rica, and I didn’t originally plan on having our wedding and reception at Bay Pointe. We hadn’t looked at any place that far away, 1 hour from home. Two weeks before the wedding our original venue had a fire and we had to scramble to find a new location. Mariesa Colavincenzo, the Catering Sales Manager at Bay Pointe, came to our rescue. With her and her staffs’ help we were able to pull off a miracle and have a beautiful wedding using part of the restaurant and the deck, looking out on the lake… a perfect backdrop for our vows and the reception. Everyone remarked about how beautiful the setting was and also how wonderful the food was. We had 2 appetizers and a 3-entry buffet that was absolutely delicious! Rica and I thank Mariesa and everyone at Bay Pointe for making our wedding a wonderful reality when it seemed it might not happen at all. -Dr. Mark Crapo
