The Maid Barn space at Barn 1888 includes climate control (AC/heat), two bathrooms—one ADA compliant—wagon wheel lighting with a crystal chandelier, antique buffets ideal for desserts, an open balcony, and draping. Also included are 5’ round guest tables, white folding chairs, and four 8’ wooden farmhouse tables for the head table.

    Best Wedding Venue

    From our first text to Danielle and Brian, we knew Barn 1888 was the right choice for our wedding. They responded quickly to every question and made the whole planning process stress-free through email and text. The venue itself is stunning with its updated barn feel across the spacious upper and lower levels, and Danielle and Brian kept everything pristine and ready for your big day. They truly went above and beyond by working with us on every change we wanted to make and being there whenever we needed support. Our guests could not stop talking about how beautiful the space was, and the care these two put into recommending vendors and handling every detail showed throughout the entire event. We cannot recommend Barn 1888 enough!

    Amazing Venue, Wonderful People

    One of the best decisions my husband and I made was choosing to get married at Barn 1888 and the biggest reason was the support and care we felt from the owners Brian and Danielle. Not only were we impressed by the BEAUTIFUL landscaping, and natural beauty of the venue itself, but you can tell all of the hard-work both Brian and Danielle put into this venue to make it as amazing as it is! They help you from day one, are so responsive to any question you may have, and can accommodate anything you may want or need. Our day went so smoothly and they were there helping us during the whole wedding. My mom appreciated how much they helped us set up/tear down in decor, helped some of our older guests, and they have amazing vendor recommendations/relationships that make your wedding day run smoothly! The venue has so many outside and indoor seating options, and a gorgeous ceremony spot. So many gorgeous and natural photo ops, plus a large room full of decorations included in the venue! I could go on and on but will never regret my choice of venue! Best day of my life! Thank you so much!!

    The BEST Wedding Venue!

    My husband and I had the wedding of our dreams, and Barn 1888 played a huge role in making that dream come true. We knew the moment we stepped foot on this beautiful property that it was the one. The owners, Danielle and Bryan, are incredibly kind and work tirelessly to make sure every question is answered and every want or need is met. From the endless magical photo spots to the stunning landscape, the cozy barn, and the warm rustic charm, Barn 1888 truly has it all. We received so many compliments from guests saying it was one of the most beautiful weddings they had ever attended. We would highly, highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for the perfect place to say “I do.”

    Wedding

    We had our wedding at Barn1888 this summer and it was the most magical day! The venue itself is absolutely stunning, but what truly made our experience unforgettable were Bryan and Danielle. Communication was top-notch, and they went above and beyond to make sure our day was exactly what we envisioned (and more). The space photographed beautifully, our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the atmosphere, you can tell the owners love what they do and take so much pride into the venue! I would highly recommend Barn1888 to anyone and everyone! We’ll forever be grateful for the memories made there and couldn’t imagine a more perfect place to say “I do.” If you’re considering this venue — book it. You won’t regret it.

    Amazing experience with Barn 1888

    We truly could not imagine getting married at any other venue! Danielle and Bryan were amazing to work with, so easy to contact and the planning stages with them were effortless. Always willing to meet us at the Barn within less than a week if we needed something and were so supportive the day of. The venue has everything you could possibly need. Amazing experience and wouldn’t change it!

Max Capacity in the Main Barn and lower level is 229. We host weddings up to 300 guests using a tent for the dinner portion of the event. Barn 1888 will created a digital table layout for you based on your final count. We reserve the right to re-configure seating to maximize capacity and crowd flow.
Yes! The barn basement can hold up to 100 guests in rows. Larger ceremonies can take place upstairs in the barn. We create an aisle and your guests sit at their tables.
Yes! All Candles are required to have glass shields(votive) or hurricane lamps with a base of some kind to protect the linen. No open flames are allowed. Glitter, confetti, artificial snow, artificial flower petals, chinese lanterns, and fireworks are not permitted, however, eco-friendly, biodegradable confetti and real flower petals are permitted.
Smoking is not allowed inside the barn. Smoking is allowed outside the barn in designated areas, but not by the entrances.
We have a list of preferred caterers that will offer you a complimentary tasting. If you choose to not use a preferred caterer, that's fine, but you need to hire a licensed(and fully staffed) catering service. The 10% service charge for all caterers is based on your total, pre-tax food and beverage costs
No, we require all alcoholic beverages to be purchased and served through Wildwood Bar Services. Several package options are available. Alcoholic beverages may be served at the farm in accordance with all local and state laws. Shots are prohibited, including liquor on ice. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the parking lot or driveway. This is strictly enforced.
If you choose one not on our preferred list, we recommend them setting up a site visit. Due to our township noise ordinance, reception music must take place in the barn, not outside. Ceremony and cocktail hour music may take place outside. Music will end by 11:00 pm on the night of your event.
Yes, our entire Renovation project has been approved by the township. All local and state commercial codes for fire, handicap, electric, and plumbing are being followed throughout the entire process.
Most ceremonies take place between 4:00 and 5:00 pm. This gives you and your vendors enough time to get ready, and ensures that guests aren’t waiting too long between the ceremony ending and dinner.
Absolutely! $1500 is due to officially reserve a date. Your 2nd payment is due 90 days from your event, and the remaining balance is due 1 day prior to your event(usually when you come for rehearsal).
Barn 1888 is just 7 miles(10min.) from the Best Western Plus in Wayland. This hotel is currently under construction and will open soon.
