“We booked John with Power Play Entertainment for our wedding and are extremely happy we did. We did a lot of research into DJs during the planning process as we knew it was an important role and could mean the difference between a fun wedding and an awkward one. From the moment we talked to John on our initial call, we knew he was the right fit for us. Aside from reception music, John covered music at the ceremony and cocktail hour, microphones and sound for us and our officiant, lighting for our reception, and a custom monogram that turned out amazing. We had a few special requests from our processional song, to passing out glow sticks and other favors, to having a surprise musical guest for the father daughter dance and all were managed great by John. John brought along Guy as his assistant/our second DJ and he was amazing as well. Both were ready to make sure we had everything we needed for the entire day and were professional with how they handled everything. At the end of the day, John kept everything going smoothly from the ceremony to the reception, he was a great emcee, played everything we wanted to hear, and most importantly he kept everyone dancing all night long. John does everything he can to ensure he can serve you how you want on your special day. I would highly recommend John, Guy, and Power Play Entertainment as a whole.”

That said, I did spend a lot of time carefully selecting songs that were meaningful to us, and I was a little disappointed that many of those selections weren't played. Some of our requested songs were included, but I had hoped more of our playlist would be incorporated into the evening. The only other issue was that, just before our grand exit, he approached us to mention that he hadn't received enough food. We had paid for a vendor meal for him, so I wasn't sure what had happened, and it didn't feel like the best time to bring it up while we were in the middle of such a special moment. Despite those concerns, he was friendly, punctual, and our guests clearly enjoyed themselves. If having a lively dance floor is your top priority, he does a good job creating a fun atmosphere.”

They felt more personal than the conglomerates with dozens of band. We watched them perform at a showcase in the Baltimore area and loved how they structured their evening with different pairings of band members and instruments - it helped us make an informed decision about the number of instruments we wanted to include. We were wow-ed by Amber at the showcase, and were thrilled to have her emcee our wedding! Communication with the band was very straightforward. We only had a handful of requests, but otherwise, let them play the sets as they saw fit. Truthfully, I can’t remember them taking many breaks because it felt like they played the whole night! Our guests continue to say how excellent the band was! For the ceremony, the band provided a speaker and a representative to press “play” on our music. We also had a trio perform beautifully at cocktail hour. One fun note: we opted for parent dances, and the band had no issues with my Bruce Springsteen deep cut. The singer even channeled his “Boss” to really sound like Bruce! Our dance floor was full from the start, and we loved the sets they played. We had a blast dancing at our wedding - Highly recommend Bachelor Boys!”

He came highly recommended by Phish Chicks, and from our very first conversation, we knew we were in great hands. We had a vision of incorporating exact live versions of songs throughout our wedding, and Adam made it happen perfectly. Planning started early with Philly Custom DJ, and it quickly became clear how much care and thought Adam puts into every detail. He is incredibly organized and detail-oriented, which made the entire process stress-free and gave us complete confidence going into the wedding. He even helped calm the nerves of our toast givers, our officiant, and our friends who performed a live song during our ceremony. On the wedding day, Adam and Alberto were an absolute dream team. When a sudden storm rolled through during our outdoor ceremony, they kept everything running smoothly, quickly helping move everyone under cover while seamlessly keeping the music and celebration going into cocktail hour. Thanks to their professionalism and adaptability, the transition barely skipped a beat. The dance floor stayed packed all night, and we're still hearing compliments from our guests about the music and about Adam and Alberto themselves. He really wanted to know what we wanted to do with our wedding and he found ways to not take the spotlight away from us BUT TO COMPLIMENT OUR WEDDING VISION. He is a true professional who knows how to have fun. Prior to the wedding day, Matthew called us to discuss our music taste and he curated a perfect playlist for guests to enjoy during cocktail our. He works so well with the DJ and communicated with him prior to the wedding to ensure proper audio setup. Lets get to the reception. HE CAN PLAY ANYTHING. We let our DJ take the lead during the reception and Matthew was able to play along and compliment the variety of music the DJ played. He knows how to get the crowd going! From start to finish, he kept the dance floor packed with an incredible mix of songs that had everyone—young and old—up and dancing all night long. His energy and ability to read the crowd were spot-on, creating a lively atmosphere that our guests are still raving about. The photo booth was a huge hit too, with tons of fun props and instant prints that added such a great touch to the celebration. “My husband and I had one non-negotiable for our wedding - to have a live band. We went to the BVT showcase and immediately fell in love with Experience. They were a little bit out of our budget, but we decided to book them anyways and cut back on other things and let me tell you ...they were worth every single penny!!! Luke is the nicest, coolest guy and so great to work with!! He listened to every request we had leading up and I truly didn't think about a thing during the wedding day - he had our timeline completely under control and kept us on track (and if we were running behind I still have no idea because he's that good!!). The band is INCREDIBLE and had our guests on the dance floor all night!! I realized at the end of the night I never even changed out of my heels into my white sneakers because that would have meant leaving the dance floor. Our guests are still telling us how amazing the band was and several of them even got their card for their own events! Having Experience was the best decision we made!! Thank you to all of you for making our wedding day so memorable and fun!!”

Ignore the full lighting in the second photo… I forgot to dim the lights in the venue once people started dancing for like a full 30 minutes smh”

Josh is incredibly kind, professional, understanding, responsive, and organized, which made for a seamless planning process and provided a sense of comfortability throughout. He took the time and effort to get to know us as a couple and it showed on wedding day as he incorporated everything that we had envisioned. The music planning app streamlines the process from pre-ceremony all the way through reception. He created an incredible mix that spanned multiple genres and decades which brought all the nostalgia with it. We also purchased the photobooth and sparkler send-off as add-ons. Our attendant, Eric, was awesome and his outgoing personality brought even more fun to the booth! Josh provided the sparklers for the send-off and coordinated with our photographer to ensure a smooth exit. “DJ Anthony with Phil Phest was extremely invested in us having a good time. He was able to mix in almost all of the songs I had mentioned even though some were in another language and he had not worked with them before. His MC skills are on point, getting the party amped up. People were dancing till the last song. He gave great advice on timing for father-daughter/planned dances and helped make sure the tunes were cut in/out at just the right time.”
