“We are an older couple, and this was a second marriage for both of us, so I am not sure most people would understand the amount of time and effort we spent to find the perfect DJ for our wedding. We are a blended family with 8 adult children, and 5 grandchildren. We were both young parents, so our kids are early 20's, and we have extended family into their 80's - we are literally talking decades of music tastes to cater to. We are both avid music lovers, so having someone that could work with us to help set the perfect tone for our day was vitally important. We started looking for our vendors 2 years ahead of time and when I say we literally vetted over 50 DJs to find the perfect one, it is not a stretch of the truth. What first drew us to DJ Johnny was his videos. We were looking for a DJ that was fun and outgoing, someone to interact with the guests, but not be overbearing. We had been to plenty of weddings where the DJs barely interacted with the guests, and others where you felt like you were in a club and the show was all about the DJ and not the couple. Neither of these were the vibe we were looking for. What we wanted was someone who was experienced, loved their job and knew how to read the room to keep the party going. DJ Johnny's videos seemed to show just that, so we scheduled a call with him. After talking to him, we were fairly certain we had found our guy, but did our due diligence with our other DJ choices as well. We kept coming back to Johnny, because of his personality. He was confident in his skills, but he was in no way arrogant or overbearing. Just very down to Earth and fun loving - a guy who seemed to be fortunate enough to be able to do what he loved and bring other people joy at the same time. After a second call, where Johnny was able to answer some potential concerns, we knew we had our DJ. Johnny is amazing with answering any emails and addressing any questions or concerns. He was able to cater to the music and any announcements we needed. We have family with some very hard to pronounce names, and he made notes to make sure he pronounced everyone's names perfectly (bride's included). He performed for both our ceremony and reception, and the amount of compliments from guests about the music were too numerous to count. There was hardly a moment where the dance floor was empty, he kept the music flowing, the energy high, the guests engaged and just the entire night was fantastic. I can honestly say that our wedding could not have been as flawless as it was without the help of DJ Johhny. Words alone cannot express our gratitude with DJ Johnny and the integral part he played in making our day both memorable and absolutely perfect. If we ever have the need for a DJ again in the future, DJ Johnny will most certainly be our guy!”

We did a lot of research into DJs during the planning process as we knew it was an important role and could mean the difference between a fun wedding and an awkward one. “Booking Carinvalè for our wedding was the absolute BEST decision we could have ever made!! Our venue had recommended BVTLive if we were interested in booking a band, so we watched one of their live showcases streamed live on YouTube. My husband and I enjoyed all of the bands that played, but one really stuck out to us, Carnivalè! We booked Carnivalè without even seeing them in person, that’s how good they are! When we did attend a showcase in person a few weeks later, they exceeded our expectations and we started counting down the days until they would play at our wedding! Working with Nils to lay out all of our options was amazing! He is the sweet person you’ll ever meet and so on top of things! Leading up to the wedding we worked closely with our band leader, El, to choose songs and create a timeline for our wedding. El and Carnivalè have played at tons of events and weddings and were super organized and easy going! Fast forward to our wedding night, El and the band were absolutely INCREDIBLE!! They catered to all ages at our wedding and made it a night to remember! I really can’t put into words how much fun everyone had and how amazing the band sounded the entire night! We are so thankful to El and the band and would highly recommend them to everyone!! If you want your dance floor PACKED all night long, book El and Carinvalè!”

“The Music Boutique was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From the very beginning, Scott was extremely helpful and responsive, and always providing us with great ideas, suggestions, and guidance to make our day special. We had a duo playing for our ceremony and during the cocktail hour and then we had a small 3 person band playing for our reception. And it was the perfect amount of people. We had spoken to some other bands and they all kept saying we need some big band for the reception, but since we were having less than 100 people at the wedding, we didn’t think it made sense to have like a 10 person band, it just seemed like it would overwhelm the whole wedding. And we knew we wanted a band component since my father plays guitar and I had a feeling would want to play a song at some point. Then we spoke with Scott, he seemed to understand our vision of having a small band. He loved the idea of my father playing a song, and made suggestions on when was the perfect time for him to play, and even laughed along with our idea of playing “September” by Earth, Wind, and Fire, over and over again, since we were getting married on “the 21st night of September” (we did not do this)! The day of the band was amazing! They even took the time to learn our first dance song, which was a fairly unknown track, and played it beautifully, and surprised us with playing it. Since we thought it was just going to be a recorded version of the song. That was very special to us! And they were more than happy to let my dad play his song to us. Overall, the band's performance was lively and engaging, and they kept our guests dancing all night long. We couldn't have asked for a better band to help make our wedding celebration so memorable, and couldn’t have done it with Scott!”

But don't get me wrong, no matter how many weddings are in my future, never ever will it be a matter of being there, done that. No matter how many weddings I do, all my energy goes into each. “The communication with Prime 1 Productions could have been better leading up to the wedding. While they did a decent job overall with the music and entertainment, they could have done a better job reading the vibe of the room and playing more of a variety of songs that got everyone dancing. The person I booked with was not the one who actually came to our wedding, which was a bit of a surprise. However, the DJ who did come was very nice and tried his best, even though he messed up the intro to our first dance a bit. Overall, Prime 1 Productions provided a serviceable performance, but I wish they had been a bit more in tune with the energy and preferences of our guests.”

We had selected Jeff from word of mouth when he was at a prior company before starting White Rose and were thrilled that we were able to retain Jeff for our special day. Since day 1 Jeff was extremely responsive, educational, and professional throughout the entire process. You can feel the passion from Jeff in his work in every conversation and interaction. On the actual wedding day, Jeff showed up early and made sure everything was set up to perfection to avoid any issues. Jeff's energy on the mic throughout the day was phenomenal. I would highly recommend Jeff to anyone unsure of a DJ. Jeff's team of his assistant and photobooth operator were exceptional all day and night as well. The lighting that Jeff had set up was also a huge surprise when we saw how cool it was. The dance floor was packed the entire night and the best part of the night for many. We received a great deal of compliments during and after the wedding about how great Jeff was. Following the wedding, unbeknownst to us Jeff had created a short instagram video of our entire day edited flawlessly and was one of the highlights we could show people.
