Jeremy and the rest of his team were wonderful! I never had any concerns that he was unable to answer promptly. The team was professional while providing an atmosphere that made my wife and I felt like part of their family. The location is absolutely stunning during all seasons (we visited several times leading up to the wedding and even had our engagement shoot there) and looks great in all of our photos! With multiple locations on the property and only one event per day, you truly have all the space you need and more. As members of the LGBTQ community, it was important that we find a vendor that aligned with our values and provided a safe space and they exceeded that! 100/10 would absolutely recommend choosing Starlight Meadow for your event!

Wedding planning was not as stressful because I had so much help from venue host and coordinators, even tho I live in another state. The venue was so beautiful during the summer time! Everything was green and blossoming, a bit on the warmer side, but the openness of the reception area allowed breeze to cool us off. The bridal suite was such a dream!! There was enough space for the hair & makeup artists, bridesmaids, mothers, and grandmothers to get ready. The grooms quarters were also spacious and allowed for bonding time before the ceremony. Parking services were great, the guests had a smooth time with it and finding the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception sites. Cannot recommend this venue enough, everything was wonderful and magical!!

I cannot recommend this venue highly enough! From the very start, the owner and her team went above and beyond to make planning stress-free and enjoyable. They were always available to answer questions, offer guidance, and make sure every detail was perfectly executed. Their support and calm presence made a huge difference, especially when I was nervous on the big day. My dream ceremony spot was in the trees, and this venue was the only one I found in the area that offered it. The Enchanted Forest microwedding option was ideal; the venue is rural, peaceful, and spacious. They had an excellent unbeatable selection of decor and allowed any professional caterer. Communication was great, and I never waited long for answers. Closer to the event, having Holly, my coordinator's personal number for texting, was helpful. She and her assistant were excellent in setting up and stayed on top of the timeline. The phone and video calls, in-person decor selection, and venue walkthroughs eased my worries. While other bridal areas weren't pretty and/or small (locker room, gym, large closet) the bridal suite was large and beautiful, and the free engagement shoot perk was nice. Meeting Melanie, her husband and their dogs shows this is a family business. Fantastic venue.

Working with Tony and Beth at Old Lystra Inn was an absolute dream from start to finish. After spending countless hours searching for the perfect venue, my husband and I knew immediately that this was the one the moment we pulled up the driveway. Tony greeted us with a late-evening tour that felt incredibly personal, not at all rushed—and it set the tone for everything that followed. The property itself is breathtaking. The grounds are impeccably maintained and filled with charm, and so much is included in the rental package—tent, dance floor, chairs, tables, and more—which made planning far less stressful. It was a huge relief not having to coordinate all those big logistics separately. Beth and Tony were a constant source of support leading up to the big day. Whether it was a quick stop by to walk the grounds, a late-night email, or one of our many questions (and there were a lot!), they always made time for us. We never felt like “just another couple” in a long wedding season. Instead, they made us feel like our day truly mattered—like we were getting married in a place that had heart and soul, not just beautiful scenery. On the day itself, Tony was everywhere—behind the scenes making things happen and helping everything flow effortlessly. We can’t overstate how much that meant to us. Thanks to his quiet dedication, we were able to be fully present and just enjoy the day. We are endlessly grateful to have had our wedding at Old Lystra Inn. It was the best day of our lives, and Tony and Beth played such a meaningful role in making that possible. We can’t wait for the day we get to return as guests and relive the magic from a different perspective. Highly, highly recommend!

The attention to details is prevalent throughout the property & we got a chance to meet the property manager Michelle who was absolutely delightful & helpful. Some of my favorite features were the high peak tent which sets this venue apart & creates such a luxurious & elegant feel. The blooming gardens and the indoor space available are all well kept and beautifully decorated. We are so thrilled to move forward with booking this space. Additionally, this venue is owned by a lovely couple and you can tell they have put their heart and soul into the details of the venue, it’s rare to find a venue space that has that human touch & warmth and Greengate Manor certainly excels in that respect!

Sugarneck

5.0

Sanford, NC
  • Up to 125 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Outdoor
  • Starts at $7,200

Sugarneck is rumored to have gotten its name by the bootleggers traveling along the Cape Fear River as a code word for the place where they would pick up their moonshine. Sugarneck reaches back long before smartphones and social media, back to a time when the only way to send a message was by writing a letter and sending it in the mail. One of the earliest U.S. Post Offices in North Carolina still stands strong today. It was a community where people gathered, shared news and good times. Built in 1874, the renovated original Cabin structure serves as a unique visual reminder of those simpler times. The Cabin and the Post Office are on the National Register of Historic Places. The vast scenic views of the North Carolina countryside along with the grandness of our 150 year old Oak trees do not go unnoticed, and at night, the stars light up the sky. Today, there is an unexpected immersive experience that brings history, nature and modern elegance together in total privacy.

Why you'll love this venue

  • All-inclusive venue packages
  • Bridal suite on site
  • Has a dance floor for celebration

Venue considerations

  • Does not allow pets
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • On-site parking not available
We had our wedding at Sugarneck in May. The venue alone is stunning, incredibly well taken care of and immaculately clean. Add to that the dedication of Alicia and her team to plan and execute the most magical, flawless day - I wish I could give 10 stars! We chose Sugarneck because of its location and extremely reasonably priced packages. It truly took the stress out of the day as Alicia was always on top of any questions/concerns I had and brought my ideas to life in all areas. Despite a downpour after the ceremony, the day was flawless and the team worked so hard, always while providing top notch service to all our guests. The only thing I wish I had known ahead of time was the difficultly in guests getting Ubers after the event, while there was a shuttle bus that showed up that transported people, had I known, I would have either paid for it or given people a heads up as it was a little pricey. We spent the whole weekend there including hosting the rehearsal dinner which in itself was a fabulous time. We really felt like part of the family there and not just ‘renting the property’. We would not have asked for a more perfect venue and team to help us with our special day.
