About this venue
Chateau Vie is a farmyard wedding venue in Walnut Cove, North Carolina. Over 70 years old, this historic French colonial estate offers couples antique charm with contemporary amenities. Featuring a serene lake, romantic pavilion, and modern, elegant interior, Chateau Vie is a superb venue for those seeking a sophisticated wedding.

Formal Garden (ceremony option)
Beautiful European style formal garden with shaped greenery, roses, string lights, and surrounded by stone walls to give a "courtyard" feel.
The formal garden, is a 1/2 acre of manicured landscape. There are over 200 plants. Shaped evergreen hedges, and trees line the edges, and in every direction there are blooming roses. There is a beautiful white arbor at one end, and a giant Magnolia tree at the other end. Both make a great backdrop for a wedding. The Garden has string lights hanging over giving it a magical feel. There is also a 200 ft stone wall surrounding the garden.

Beautiful
Of all the venues I looked at, Chateau Vie offered the most space for my medium-sized wedding (110 people) for the most affordable price. And the fact that it was inexpensive does not mean that it was low quality. The garden location where our ceremony was held was sweet, beautiful, and elegant, comfortably seating all of our guests. The reception area was also lovely and the perfect size for our guests. The getting-ready spaces were beautiful and fun. As for the owners, they really helped make sure everything flowed. I paid only for the venue space, which was about 2,000. However, that included set-up, rehearsal coordination, ceremony coordination, reception assistance, and clean-up. They were so helpful in making sure all the little details were taken care of so I didn't have to think about them. In our meeting a few weeks before the wedding, they walked through everything with me, bringing up questions I hadn't even known I needed to consider, which was so helpful. It was also nice to have the coordinator's input on the order of ceremony to make sure everything was as smooth as possible. My only word of caution is that communication can sometimes feel slow and choppy. I usually received an answer to any question within 24 hours, but sometimes if I asked multiple questions in the same email, I didn't get answers to all of them. If I emailed again with the same question, though, they would get back to me on it. And for me, that did not take away from how special and perfect my wedding day was.

Amazing Venue!!
Chateau Vie was amazing. Everything ran so smoothly from start to finish, and we truly felt taken care of every step of the way. The staff was incredible—so attentive, kind, and organized—and it made such a difference in allowing us to relax and fully enjoy the day. Everything was set up so beautifully and the planning process was a breeze! We’ve heard from so many of our guests about how beautiful the venue was and how seamless everything felt. We are so grateful for all the effort and care that went into making our day so special.

Great wedding
Chateau Vie was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the start, they were extremely responsive and returned our calls in a timely manner, which was so helpful during the busy planning process. On the day of, the entire staff was incredibly attentive and went out of their way to make sure everything went smoothly. The venue itself was absolutely beautiful - the decor and ambiance were exactly what we had envisioned for our special day. In addition to the venue, the other vendors they provide in their packages, like the catering and florals, were also excellent. We couldn't have asked for a better experience, and we highly recommend Chateau Vie to any couple planning their wedding.
