About this venue

The Farm on Groometown is a 40-acre working farm and barn wedding venue in southwest Greensboro, North Carolina, 3 miles off I-85, 12 minutes from PTI Airport and two miles from Grandover Resort. Couples get ready in the bridal and groom suites, say "I do" on a fenced ceremony lawn with open pasture and our longhorn cattle behind them, gather at the Silo Bar for cocktail hour, and celebrate in the white barn with its glass-enclosed reception space for up to 130 guests. Tables, chairs and cocktail tables, kitchen access for your caterer, four restrooms, free parking and Wi-Fi are all included. Weekend weddings start at $5,200 and Monday through Thursday weddings at $3,500. A remodeled 1926 farmhouse on the property sleeps up to 8 as a separate rental. Jenna, the owner, walks every couple through the grounds herself and is your contact from first tour to the last dance. Uber and Lyft both serve the farm.

Our event spaces

The Barn

A white barn with warm wood, string lights and a glass-enclosed reception space that opens to the farm.

The barn seats up to 130 guests for dinner and dancing. Its expanded, glass-enclosed reception space brings the pasture views inside, and the attached kitchen is available to your licensed caterer. Reception tables, chairs and cocktail tables are included, with the bridal suite and groom suite steps away.

Guest capacity

Up to 130 Seated

Up to 150 Standing

Silo Bar

Cocktail hour in a converted grain silo, with swings, a fireplace and the pasture all around.

The Silo Bar is the Farm's outdoor gathering spot, a few steps from the barn. Your licensed bartender serves from the silo while guests spread out across the patio, the silo swings and the outdoor sitting areas by the fireplace. It's where cocktail hour happens while the barn is turned for dinner, and where guests drift back to all night.

Ceremony Lawn

Say "I do" on a fenced lawn beside the barn, with open pasture and longhorn cattle behind you.

The ceremony lawn sits right beside the barn, framed by farm fence with pasture and trees beyond, so your guests walk a few steps from the ceremony to cocktail hour at the Silo Bar. Ceremony chairs are included, and the longhorns in the field behind you tend to show up in the photos. If the weather turns, the ceremony moves inside the barn.

We just had our wedding here yesterday, have nothing but good things to say about Jenna, the location, the layout, the accessibility! Our guests complimented the layout of the barn so many times throughout the night! Would do it here all over again if we had too!

We had a very short timeframe to plan a surprise engagement party. Jenna was great to work with and made booking The Farm at Groometown an easy choice. She was available for any questions we had prior to booking all the way through the end of the event. If you want a gorgeous venue with phenomenal people to work with, The Farm and Groometown is the place for you. From the gorgeous barn with a beautiful bridal and groom suite to the silo bar there are so many unique places at this venue. And the longhorn cattle on site were a hit for our guests! The kids loved them! There was not a single thing I would change!
