After moving to Beacon, NY around the same time, it made sense to start an official wedding music business to share their love of music with some of the many happy couples getting married in the Hudson Valley. “Justin was a pleasure to work with from the initial interview to the last song at our wedding. Justin played with a three piece band for our ceremony (guitar, piano, bass) and cocktail hour (saxophone, piano, bass) and then DJ'd our reception. Justin made sure that the music played at our wedding and cocktail hour was tailored to specifically match the vibe of our dinner playlist. He even surprised us by playing one of our favorite Herbie Hancock tunes during cocktail hour. The vibe of the live jazz trio during cocktail hour was a perfect transition over to dinner. Justin then switched over to DJ our dinner and reception afterwards. He played all the right songs to keep the dance floor flowing all night. She had also worked at our venue before (Full Moon Resort), which made the process much simpler. I really appreciated her consideration for our budget, and she had lots of creative ideas for ways to save money while staying true to the vision. Heather was also very open to our DIY ideas, and happily worked with us to incorporate our handmade items (table numbers, signage, etc). Our Hindu ceremony required a large platform and mandap, and Heather was the only vendor we could find in the Catskills who was able to provide one. The wooden frame, handmade by her husband, was exactly what we pictured. Thank you again Heather!!”

“Black Walnut Farm is an unbelievable venue that far exceeded our expectations for our wedding. Beyond the incredible property, the owners are excellent to work with from your first tour to even after your event. To start, the barn and the surrounding grounds look incredible and are so beautifully manicured. So many of our guests complimented the venue. The staff also blended very seamlessly with our caterer. We used Bridge Creek Catering, who were unbelievably on top of it, and between the venue and the caterers there wasn’t a single hiccup. Sarah’s day-of coordination definitely tied everything together and gave us a ton of confidence that event would run smoothly. We rented a tent for our reception and had it placed on the main lawn. The scene behind us, wild grass and a line of trees, is absolutely stunning in our photos. And the ceremony space in the woods is honestly magical. The farmhouse on the property, where the wedding party can stay for the duration of their weekend, is so comfortable and classic. The MASSIVE fireplace in the parlor is so amazing. And who doesn’t love a hot tub? We can’t say enough good things about Black Walnut.”

For example the team learned acoustic versions of 90's alternative songs, and the groomsmen and bridal party walked down the aisle to Legend of Zelda, my wife walked down the aisle to Nightmare before Christmas, and then we recessed to Studio Ghibli. Cocktail hr, all our guests commented how amazing the band was and how they enjoyed the live music. I immediately got in touch with Bridget, who from day one was super accessible, transparent, kind and willing to work with us. Bridget walked us through the entire planning process, from a tasting where we were made to feel super special by the wonderful Fatima (who ended up being our day of attendant and was AWESOME) to every last detail of our special day. The venue itself is gorgeous, the sunset over the mountains, the floor to ceiling windows, the beautifully maintained grounds - our guests were in AWE. The staff was wonderful, they made sure to treat our wedding party extra special and gave great service to our guests. “Please read—our experience was nothing short of amazing! We got married at Liberty View Farm this past Saturday, and The Wedding Foundry made our day absolutely unforgettable. Billiam and Erica truly have a gift and such a special thing going. Our day ran seamlessly, and we couldn’t have been happier. From a touching ceremony that had our guests in tears, to AMAZING food that people are still talking about (definitely not your typical “wedding food”), to the abundance of gorgeous florals that Ivan brought to life even more beautifully than I dreamed—it was all perfection. Cathy went above and beyond setting up our personal décor exactly how I envisioned and created a tablescape that looked like it came straight out of a fairytale. The planning process was also so smooth—they made it easy to choose menus, drinks, and all the little details, and they were always quick to respond to any questions, which gave us so much peace of mind. We also loved how this is such an “all-inclusive” venue, which relieved so much of the stress of finding vendors. You can tell everyone they use works together all the time, which makes the whole experience seamless. For anything not included, Billiam provided excellent recommendations (music, Airbnbs, hair & makeup), which made everything so easy. Throughout it all, Erica and Billiam were patient, reassuring, and accommodating—even when I asked to change our ceremony spot last minute! They welcomed me back to pick a new space and made me feel completely confident. I was also nervous about florals matching with my bridesmaids’ dresses and family colors, and they kept promising me I would love it. They were right—it was beyond perfect. This is the most unique, special farm and venue I’ve ever seen, and it felt exactly like “us.” The entire team—Erica, Billiam, Ivan, Cathy, and everyone involved—are so talented, kind, and detail-oriented. Richard and I had over an hour-long conversation and we clicked. I, having a creative director background and working with photographers all my career, was thrilled because we spoke the same language. “Erica is AMAZING!!! From our very first consultation call with her, my fiancé and I knew she was the best choice for our engagement shoot and wedding. We laughed and chatted and felt comfortable right off the bat. I have been told that you end up being around your wedding photographer more than almost anyone else on your wedding day - so it's super important you feel comfortable around them, so I was thrilled to feel like I have known her for years just over a Zoom call! Then, she managed to fit us in her schedule last minute, and drive over 3 hours to us in the Greater Boston area to shoot at the Arnold Arboretum! Talk about going above and beyond!!!! She frolicked around the park in the cold with us, LITERALLY climbing in and out of bushes and trees to get these gorgeous shots. You couldn't tell by the photos... but I was super duper nervous going into the shoot. I’m not a huge fan of my picture being taken… and the thought a professional camera made me feel extremely anxious. But Erica was so kind, and calm, and made me laugh and feel comfortable literally immediately!!! My fiancé and I are sooooo awkward too, but she expertly posed us in many different ways that make us look like pros LOL! A day that I had so much anxiety for… ended up being such a blast for both of us, truly. JUST THE SHOOT IN ITSELF will be a wonderful memory we will cherish forever. And then she got us the photos in record time, I couldn't believe it! So fast!!! And to no surprise, they were all incredible. It's so hard to choose a favorite, I have like 10 haha. I am beyond excited to have her shoot our wedding in the future. Five stars for EVERYTHING! Seriously. She is so incredibly talented!!!!”

“Lynette and Bryndon are the best around! I used them for both my photo and video, and they give you nothing but perfection! Everything came out better than I expected. They arrived on time if not early. They were very respectful in the church. They learned my entire bridal party’s names so instead of saying “you” and pointing, they said their actual names. They were very encouraging to my husband and I throughout the day, and very helpful with anything we needed. They also were very helpful before the wedding day. Lynette helped me figure out timing for the day, and that truly helped it run smoothly and on time. They gave us a large “sneak peak” within two weeks of the wedding, and then had the entire wedding album back around 3 months. The videos came back about a month and a half after the wedding. They shot my cousins wedding back in 2021, and my friends wedding in 2023 so by my wedding they truly felt like the are apart of my family. He was checking to see if we were okay, pulling us away to make sure we were eating, working with our other vendors so seamlessly- our ceremony musicians, our officiant, our family band, and our photographer!
