On the day of, Nelson and his team eased right in without a hitch bouncing from one location to the next and corralling us and family seamlessly while staying on time. There wasn't a single moment of concern or stress during photos! Now to gush about the product!! Nelson and his team caught the most PERFECT moments. My husband and I expressed early on that we preferred candid or organic shots and not so much the typical couple poses. And I must say, Nelson got it right! “We could not be more happy with how our wedding turned out at Mamaroneck Beach and Yacht Club. There are so many things that make this venue special. The service, the scenery, the food, and the run of show were all spectacular. The service. We received attentive and detailed service throughout the entire planning process. The director of events, Bob, answered all of our emails promptly and with detail. He is a wonderful man who goes above and beyond to make sure that we were thoroughly satisfied and feeling well taken care of. Bob was so fantastic at helping us come up with solutions to challenges that emerged at different stages of the planning process, and we couldn’t have pulled off the party we wanted without his patience, thoughtfulness, and support. On the day of, we were made to feel so special by all the staff at MBYC. We were given a personal “bridal attendant” who followed us around all day and attended to any needs we had that came up- like holding my bouquet during photos, getting us fresh drinks, grabbing some items from the bridal suite. All of our guests were telling us how impressed they were by the level of service and consideration they received from all the staff. Everyone was kind, professional, and in great spirits. The scenery. The venue space at MB&YC is truly RIGHT on the water! It is so incredibly gorgeous. The cocktail hour is on a beautiful deck over the water. The reception is in a ballroom with giant windows facing the water. The space does not need much more decoration to feel special. It is elegant and special, yet practical, home-y, and not at all stuffy. The food. We were so impressed by the food. Typically wedding food is basic and mass produced, but every dish at MB&YC felt special. We had so many friends after the wedding recounting their favorite bites throughout the night. The mac and cheese bites as well as the New York Strip Steak were definitely crowd pleasers. Not only was the food plentiful, but it was all also incredibly tasty. Bob and his staff also made sure to take care of our guests with dietary restrictions. Everyone ate well at our wedding. The run of show. Bob and his team were working very hard the evening of our wedding to ensure the schedule was kept and everything went as planned. Leading up to the event, Bob heard all of our concerns and desires, and he was able to execute a fabulous event the evening of our wedding. I was never once concerned that something was missing or forgotten, I trusted Bob and I knew he was going to make sure we had a perfect night. Overall, definitely book your wedding here at MB&YC! We can’t speak highly enough about our special day here!”

“Where do I start with DJ Fuego? He is truly a one of a kind DJ. By the end of the whole planning process, and on our big day we learned that we can call DJ Fuego one of our friends and there could not have been a better person to set the tone for our wedding. His catalogue for processional songs to start the wedding really made our ceremony feel special to us. Just like any other couple fantasizing about pulling off their dream wedding, DJ Fuego saw the vision, understood the assignment and made it possible. We heard the songs that we could not live without plus other songs that seamlessly went along. Not to mention, he turned the party up by playing Nokia by Drake on repeat [as requested], which was a highlight. “Baby Gooorl” haha. Job well done DJ Fuego. He really wanted us to hear our favorite songs and made it clear that we have the reins for creativity but was also there should we need his support and guidance. His expertise was clearly top notch, and we appreciated benefiting from his insight. With that said, thank you DJ Fuego!”

“When my husband and I were planning our wedding last year, we chose a large, sprawling venue, and knowing we had a good deal of small children who would be in attendance, including our own two children, keeping them safe was keeping me up at night. I knew I wanted parents to have a great time (including us!) and worried about kids wandering off on their own when they inevitably got bored, etc. When I mentioned these concerns to my wedding venue director and my own wedding coordinator, they both had only one answer; The Wedding Nanny! They both gave her such high recommendation I contacted her immediately (though I was sure her rates would be astronomical). Not only was I completely wrong about being able to afford her, I’m also not someone who ever entrusts my children to babysitters I don’t know, but she put my mind at ease with her experience. She talked to me about how I can expect the children to not only be kept safe, but entertained and kept busy during down times, brought to the dance floor when we wanted them and brought back to their own entertainment after the time we requested, and kept clean and fed. Basically everything a parent could dream of at the wedding. Sandra came with another nanny as well due to the amount of children we needed care for, and delivered exactly what she told us she would. Not only was my biggest fear taken care of, the children kept safe, they had so much fun and her assistance and presence at our wedding was invaluable. If you love the kids in your family and want them to be a part of your wedding, go with the wedding nanny, you won’t be disappointed. Long gone are the days of no children invited to the wedding! “We had the most amazing time working with Ali! We had kind of a long engagement and we initially started working with Ali over a year and a half before our wedding to get our engagement photos done. Not only were the photos beautiful, but Ali made us feel super comfortable and at ease throughout our session. Leading up to our wedding day, Ali was amazing at coordinating the day of timeline with our coordinator and making sure that all the elements that were important to us were included so that we had enough time to capture the moments. One of my favorite things about working with Ali is her calm presence. Every time I was stressed about something in the planning process about the timeline I would talk to Ali and she would immediately make me feel at ease. She was constantly reminding me that the most important thing on my wedding day was to be present with our friends and family (and as a type A bride this was a much-needed reminder!) Ali also came to take photos at our rehearsal dinner and welcome party which was great because she got to know our families and our family dynamics before our big day which was a huge help! On the wedding day Ali and the second shooter Scottie were rockstars! They went above and beyond at every opportunity from helping the boys tie a bow tie, climbing out on my fire escape to get a crazy photo that I had in mind, moving locations at last minute, dealing with rain, helping bustle my dress, and of course capturing all the beauty of our perfect day. I will not hesitate to work with Ali and her team again! She’s amazing, a true professional, and I hope we have the chance to have her capture our big milestones in the years to come.”

“Naked Soul (led by Tony and Tom Perrone) absolutely ROCKED at our wedding! Tons of friends and family told us during and afterwards that they were the best wedding band they'd seen, and we might be biased, but we agree wholeheartedly. They were also pretty great to work with, and as a result music was one of the least stressful parts of planning and one of the best memories of the event. The planning process was extremely professional — we had a few calls with Tony to talk over the vibe we were going for in the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dance floor. They sent over a list of a couple hundred songs in their repertoire and we picked 20 or so to anchor their idea of what we were looking for and selected our processionals, recessional, first dance, and parent-child dances. Our first dance was not on their list but they learned it and killed it in their performance. Our venue was a little non-traditional (relatively small room for the dance floorband) and we weren't sure that a full band was going to work in the space, but Tony put us at ease and pulled it off amazingly. One of the points Tony made in the run-up was that the songs we were picking were recommendations, not a set list. The band was going to follow the vibe and play more of whatever style was working with the crowd. This made it so much easier for us to pick songs, and in the end they played a lot of stuff that wasn't in our pics but went over better than we could have dreamed. I never thought I'd say that the best songs at my wedding were from the Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls, and Black Eyed Peas. They knew their audience and the place went wild when they played Everybody (Backstreet's Back). The range of songs that a 10-piece band with a full array of vocalists can pull off is wild. Anyway, 10/10, would book again. If you're in the New York area and looking for a party we can't recommend Perrone Bros/Naked Soul highly enough. Bonus, these pics were taken by Tony and posted to their Instagram after the event.”

“Sedicah Powell and her team were very professional from day 1. Sedicah explained her bridal packages which were well priced. We did a make-up trail before my big day and she listened to my desired looks and brought everything together on my big day. They did the entire bridal party they were on time, professional, and attentive to our makeup needs. Sedicah knew how to create the perfect look for an African American bride, not all makeup artist can achieve that, which is why I chose her as my make up artist. I wanted to look natural but glamorous at the same time. I wanted a look that made me look like myself but gave a pop in pictures. Sedicah achieved that for me! She gave me a glam look that was appropriately for an Apostlic Church wedding. Overall, I would recommend her for your big day and on a daily basis.”

“The Briarcliff Manor MADE my wedding! My guests came back saying it was the best wedding they'd been to and I highly doubt it would have been that way without their incredible staff, beautiful venue, and great food! I also notably had a few crises throughout the day (by no fault of theirs or any of my other vendors) and they handled these issues with care and grace and made it so that none of my guests recognized an issue. Particularly big shout out to Kelsey, who was extremely transparent and helped us with everything big or small throughout the planning process (also a huge help on the day of); Perry, the owner, who helped with many of the bigger things along the way as well and was lovely on the day of; and Jen, the bridal attendant, who I only met for the first time on the day of, but truly proved to be my savior when things went wrong! Also highly recommend hiring Vincenza to do decor as our chuppah was even better than I imagined it being. Overall, I am absolutely thrilled with Briarcliff and would highly recommend them as a venue. They made a day that could have been really difficult into a dream come true and I could not imagine getting married anywhere else!”
