With his years of experience, he had clear vision for what needed to be done and when. He even helped us put together a photo schedule leading up to the wedding. On the big day, our family portraits were done quickly and smoothly, and the bridal party shots were a blast! The portraits of my husband and me felt so intimate and really captured our love. We ran ahead of schedule with all of our photos and we only used between 10-15 minutes of cocktail hour time to capture a few extra couple portraits. Our guests loved the black-and-white portrait booth. John set up a QR code for them to easily access the gallery, which was super helpful for us! “Working with Kandid Art was overall a great experience! They showed up on time and made sure we got all the shots we wanted. Though the wedding ran a bit behind, they were flexible. The photos turned out beautiful, and they got creative with the locations given the cold, rainy weather. They even got some funny shots of the kids at the wedding that are some of my favorites! The video was also good, although I don't love that they had to use like stock music for the background (I guess it's because of copyright issues with other songs?). I wish they would have included audio of the vows rather than the cheers of the attendees, so make sure you ask them to do that if you want it! I do love that they provided us with all the raw video footage though, as some of the most special moments didn't make the highlight video. Due to the event running behind, the cost increased a bit (which I was asked about after the wedding) due to the 2 photographers needing to split up to cover the shots. I wish they had asked me or the Wedding Coordinator about that on the day of so we could understand better what was the issue, but it was a minor thing in terms of communication. Overall 8/10 rating and would recommend.”

“Rob was sooo amazing! Long story short, we hired him for our wedding but we ended up moving our states wedding to destination. We asked if we can put our deposit towards an engagement shoot instead. He did such an amazing job and he was so prepared day of. He bought his equipment and even a DRONE!! We went to two locations, the American Museum of Natural History and the Castle on the Upper West side of Central Park. He let us be us but also posed us. We felt at ease and taken care of. He sent us back the photos pretty quickly too! 11/10 recommend!!”

“Working with S&LM was pretty good. They communicated to me closer to the event, and asked me for everything they needed and more. The pictures I have seen so far look great, and the small video I have seen looked good as well. They made sure I got almost all of the specific photos I wanted, and had a take-charge attitude while photographing, and making sure everyone was in the right place and looking great! The DJs were pretty good, but didn't know all the specific songs we mentioned that we wanted played for certain dances/moments. They also didn't announce the first dance until they were hitting the play button, which threw our choreography off until we asked them to restart! Unfortunately, some people missed our dance because they didn't know that it was happening. It still worked out in the end, and all the right songs were played at the right moments. All in all, I would definitely recommend Lights & Sound Media to prospective couples.”
