“We hired DJ Rachel for our wedding reception in October 2022. From our first call through the event, we enjoyed the experience and appreciated her support! Rachel was very helpful during the planning stage. Her thoughtful questions helped us determine what we wanted from the evening, and Rachel gave us key input on the schedule of events. Rachel thought critically about the energy of different events we wanted (ex: group photo, cake cutting, table dash) and provided suggestions for best flow. Rachel was organized, responsive, and communicated clearly. We appreciated Rachel's suggestions on how to pick songs for our "want to play" list - it was a fun trip down memory lane, and probably our favorite part of wedding planning! On the day of our event, Rachel's leadership made the day go smoothly. Rachel was prepared, organized, and energetic. She seamlessly guided us, the other vendors, and the wedding party through the evening, and gave the wedding party notice on the next events (like their speeches!). This allowed us and our wedding party to focus on enjoying the day instead of the schedule. Rachel encouraged us to try a "Table Dash" - going to each table of guests for a quick photo while one song plays. It was so fun, and Rachel's willingness to try this idea (and seamless execution) was critical to making it happen. This also allowed us to get at least one photo with each guest, a treasured memory. Rachel's mix of experience, enthusiasm, and calming presence helped the first few hours of our wedding run smoothly. During the dancing time, we could not have been more happy with how DJ Rachel performed. Her energy was so fun and kept our guests dancing all night! Rachel read the room to keep things flowing and played the perfect mix of throwbacks, slow songs, and hits from our list of songs. We appreciated how DJ Rachel was thoughtful of the guest age/types regarding explicit and mature songs. DJ Rachel had high quality equipment and lights, including speakers for the outside garden area and two microphones. Multiple guests asked us if DJ Rachel was in the wedding party, and also asked where we found such a great DJ. More than one guest said "best wedding DJ ever", and we agree wholeheartedly! Rachel also supported our "vow renewal", a surprise for our guests! We would not have done this without Rachel's support and encouragement, and it was a blast! One example from the dance floor - DJ Rachel played "Copperhead Road" and led the dance floor in the line dance. The dance includes rotating so a different part of the dance floor is the "front" throughout the song. DJ Rachel ran around the dance floor to lead as the group turned, so guests could always see her to follow the line dance steps. I have never seen a DJ put in that much effort - it was incredible and helped people really get down the steps and have fun in the dance. Just one example of how DJ Rachel went above and beyond to make the day successful. Rachel made working together remotely easy. We planned our wedding from out of state, and Rachel was integral to making this successful - phone calls, zoom calls, a google doc were all tools that Rachel used to facilitate the long distance planning. Rachel also accepted Venmo which made paying easy (no need to remember a check!). On important days like your wedding, you need a high quality team in your corner to help make the day run smoothly and meet your expectations. Rachel is that partner! We highly recommend DJ Rachel!”
