About this venue
Little Piney is a private estate in Hermann wine country with lodging for the couple and their besties for the entire weekend. There are multiple ceremony and reception locations including both indoor and outdoor spaces. Our weddings are both elegant and laid back with a gorgeous waterfront backdrop.

Spacious indoor reception area with gorgeous outdoor vibes
This newly renovated space features open beamed ceilings, sweeping draperies and thousands of twinkle lights creating night sky feels as the evening unfolds. Floor to ceiling windows and giant slider doors overlook our private little collection of grape vines. Local, hand-milled cedar walls create a cozy backdrop for a night that will be remembered forever. A wrap around porch with lounge seating ensure that guests can relax and enjoy the evening air regardless of the weather.

Pavilion
A magical, outdoor room tucked in the woods of Missouri wine country.
The pavilion boasts open beams, a ceiling of patio string-lights and pillars covered with twinkling birch branches. Guests stay comfortable in this shady sanctum equipped with patio heaters and built-in fans. With a custom bar and adjacent restrooms, this outdoor space is a perfect outdoor reception spot and ensures that couples don't have to stress about the weather. If you're lucky enough to have a little drizzle, the rich color of the damp forest is a gorgeous backdrop for a ceremony.

Access to property from Friday morning until Sunday morning. Indoor and outdoor ceremony, cocktail hour and reception spaces. Use of property for rehearsal and rehearsal dinner on Friday night. Two nights lodging (Friday and Saturday) for up to 12 people in the Cabin and Lodge. Choose your own professional vendors or use our recommended vendors (food starting around $16/person.) Bring in your own alcohol for your bar!

Sunday weddings at Little Piney are super popular because they have a bit more of a destination vibe. You're able to spend Saturday exploring Hermann with family and friends, then everyone gathers at Little Piney on Sunday for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. You're welcome to use overnight lodging the night of the wedding. Couples who do so often have a little gift opening breakfast in the lodge Monday morning before everyone heads home.

Weekday weddings are especially popular for couples who want an affordable, unique, intimate gathering. Couples have access to the best vendors (sometimes at a discount) when choosing a non-weekend date. You'll have access to the property from 11am until 11pm with the option of adding on lodging for up to 12 people in the cabin and the lodge on the night of the wedding. Our proximity to nearby Hermann makes this an especially great package for out-of-state couples. Your guests will love it!

Little Piney was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the moment we first reached out, the staff was incredibly helpful, friendly, and responsive - they truly made us feel like part of their family. The natural beauty of the property, with its breathtaking views and beautiful lighting, created the most stunning backdrop for our special day. The team went above and beyond to ensure every detail was taken care of, even when we didn't ask for their help. I would highly recommend Little Piney to any couple looking for a beautiful, one-of-a-kind wedding venue.

An Outdoor Wedding Dream Come True
From the moment we booked Little Piney, John and Julie's communication was quick, helpful, and thorough. The use of the property all weekend made our special day feel like a magical, dreamy weekend getaway. We were even able to host a welcome lake party on the Friday before the wedding, which allowed us to truly enjoy our wedding day and spend quality time with our guests. Little Piney's updated and well-maintained facilities provided the perfect backdrop for our dream wedding. We could not have asked for a better venue to celebrate our love.

Do not think twice about booking this venue!! My daughter had her rehearsal dinner and wedding at Little Piney in July, 2026 and it could not have been more perfect. As the mother of the bride (who picked the venue which is 2-hrs away from our home), I had at least 20 guests ask me how in the world I found this little piece of perfection and why has they never heard of it?! One guest described the wedding weekend to me as, “Walking into a magic fairy kingdom where each guest is treated like fairy royalty”. I honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about John and Julie. They went above and beyond and worked so hard throughout the entire weekend to ensure things went as smoothly and as planned. Most of our guests thought they were hired wedding coordinators (although we did have one)! I can’t close this review without mentioning the town of Hermann. I would guess that 90% of our guests had never visited Hermann before and had no idea of just how darling of a town it is. We had guests from eight different states, and many said their only regret was that they hadn’t scheduled more days to enjoy the town itself. I know of at least one “girls weekend” being planned for this fall for the first time ever. Please do yourself a favor. If you are thinking that this venue could be the location for your big day, stop thinking and start knowing!!!

John, Julie, Kylie and Jett were fantastic to work with! They are some of the nicest people who truly care about your experience. They make sure you, your wedding party, and guests are taken care of. We had the most amazing weekend! Our wedding was so special and beautiful- the most perfect day! All of our guests continue to comment on the beauty of Little Piney and the white glove service from everyone! Highly recommend!!! The absolute best venue and people!!!
