My name is Nick and I am a photographer, videographer, and the creator of Life in Focus. I specialize in wedding videography in the Outer Banks, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Maine as well as all over the world. You want your story told with emotion. You want to cry, all over again because you are reliving moments you missed as your day flew by.

I like to think of myself as a lil bit southern, lil bit punk, and a whole lotta rock-n-roll. I’m a PBR lover, hardcore show corner dweller, disco ball queen. You’re going to hear me say, “hell yeah, brother” more than twice, Dale Earnhardt is an icon, and Dolly Parton is royalty. You'll love me if you're a little trashy, always classy, badass, sometimes chic, forever romantic. Unwedding, editorial, nontraditional, offbeat, colorful, joyful, film-inspired, and disco vibes always. If you like, I'll wear a rainbow suit, I'll definitely dance with your mom, and I will always be a champion for you and your lover.

I like to take a journalistic approach to my wedding photography, letting the day flow naturally, all while capturing every wonderful moment for the couple as non-obtrusive as possible. My goal is to make your big day as stress free & fun as possible while capturing memories to last a life time!

And allowing you to re-live it with your love ones in the most special way. As a wedding photographer I think it’s really important to build a relationship with all of my couples. Honestly, I will admit that as your photographer I usually spend more time with you two individually than you actually will together on your wedding day. Which is why I have a lot to explain for how I move forward in capturing high caliber wedding photos with all of my couples.

My business of photography started in 1997 when shooting images for Real Estate Catalogs. From there Mere’s love grew into landscapes, surfing and interesting details of our lives. Studied in California, Costa Rica and Virginia, she often can be found near the sea to enjoy some surf and the spectacular surroundings of coastal life. Mere Crockett Photography is based out of Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina-where it’s still small enough to call a town. Mere Crockett specializes in Boudoir, Engagements, Weddings, LGBT Wedding Photography, Families, Seniors & Prom, and Headshots.

When I started wedding photography 15 years ago, I wanted to create stunning pictures that showed off my technical skills. Those skills are helpful, but they are no longer the focus of my attention. You are. Now, my goal is to make sure you have the best wedding possible, and that you remember as many moments and details as possible. You may think you'll remember it all, but life moves on and you'll forget more than you expect. I'm here to remind you what your wedding day was like, how much you love your family and friends, and why you got married. I'm excited to help you have a wonderful wedding full of beautifully captured moments.

I created my signature style by blending lifestyle photography and fine art image retouching. Being a desperate romantic, I devote a huge part of my photography journey to the wedding and engegment photography. My goal is to create your family heirlooms, the images that you will cherish forever!

I have been photographing weddings for 20+ years. My experience ranges from a wedding with 700 guests to an elopement. I asked the burning question, "What do you want to be doing in your career that will blend well in your daily life?" The answer? I started looking and seeing the Outer Banks from a new perspective. I now shoot in locations surrounded my mother nature. I currently help clients define what an Outer Banks experience means to them and then we plan their session accordingly. Elopements + micro weddings, couple's sessions and small business branding are the three areas I offer services.

I am an artist before a anything else, I rapidly fall in-love with captures that feel fun, still reflecting elegance. My images are ethereal, but classic... containing all the feelings of radiant distinct personality which reveals your sense of style. Steering clear from any trendy aesthetic genre of wedding photography to offer my couples all that is seen in my work is what I aim for. Documenting your day is something I take very seriously. My approach is simple and professionally fun! I am a stickler for a good plan the day of, this will make for all successful outcomes. I will scout the best locations, before your first looks.

Born & raised on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, I've been capturing love stories for over 15 years. I've been married to my high-school sweetheart for over 10 years, and raising our two sweet boys on this little sandbar we call home is a dream come true. While we are based on the OBX, we happily serve couples on the Outer Banks and Beyond, and enjoy spending the winter months in Costa Rica.
