“Kinfolk Brass Band was hands down one of the highlights of our entire wedding. Multiple guests told us it was the highlight of the night, and honestly, I get it. The energy, the talent, and the pure joy they brought to our second line was everything we could have hoped for. They were also incredibly flexible when the French Quarter Festival weekend made traditional street permits impossible - they figured out a route along sidewalks and a pedestrian-only street without missing a beat. We couldn't have asked for a better experience in the moment.
But I would be doing future couples a disservice if I didn't mention the communication, because it gave us SO much anxiety. In the weeks leading up to our wedding, we were completely unable to reach them despite trying everything (multiple phone numbers, various email addresses, texts, etc). We went nearly 4 full weeks without a single response, and we were left with serious doubt about whether they were going to show up at all. When you've paid thousands of dollars and your wedding is one month away, radio silence is not okay. They absolutely delivered on the day, and we would still recommend them for the experience alone but get every detail confirmed well in advance, and don't expect timely responses once you're booked. The performance is worth it, but the peace of mind is not included.”
