The Kinfolk Brass Band is a wedding and events band based in New Orleans, LA. Offering an energetic, vibrant performance, this group blends the traditional movements of Mardi Gras with modern favorites to create an eclectic, fun-filled experience. Providing you your own second line for your special day, this band can help you announce your union to the world in style. From modern jazz to classic gospel, they have a range of styles available. They also provide all their own equipment, letting you sit back and enjoy the performance as they wow you and all your guests.

Percy and Richard Anderson, the founders of the Kinfolk Brass Band, were born and raised in New Orleans. Learning from some of the region's most well-known talents, they bring a proven pedigree for every performance. From the 2012 Olympics to the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, this collective has played on some of the biggest stages in the world. On your wedding day, they will bring all their knowledge and skill, presenting an enjoyable, energetic display that you and all your guests can dance along to.

Kinfolk Brass Band Second Line
Kinfolk Brass Band was hands down one of the highlights of our entire wedding. Multiple guests told us it was the highlight of the night, and honestly, I get it. The energy, the talent, and the pure joy they brought to our second line was everything we could have hoped for. They were also incredibly flexible when the French Quarter Festival weekend made traditional street permits impossible - they figured out a route along sidewalks and a pedestrian-only street without missing a beat. We couldn't have asked for a better experience in the moment. But I would be doing future couples a disservice if I didn't mention the communication, because it gave us SO much anxiety. In the weeks leading up to our wedding, we were completely unable to reach them despite trying everything (multiple phone numbers, various email addresses, texts, etc). We went nearly 4 full weeks without a single response, and we were left with serious doubt about whether they were going to show up at all. When you've paid thousands of dollars and your wedding is one month away, radio silence is not okay. They absolutely delivered on the day, and we would still recommend them for the experience alone but get every detail confirmed well in advance, and don't expect timely responses once you're booked. The performance is worth it, but the peace of mind is not included.

Best Second Line Band!!
We had an amazing experience with Kinfolk Brass Band for our New Orleans style second line. Their communication was very streamlined and made the planning process smooth and stress-free. The band is incredibly talented and brought so much vibrant energy and fun to our wedding day. They helped us easily coordinate the second line through the busy city streets. We seriously felt like royalty leading the joyful parade of our guests dancing behind the band. The music and performance was top notch. Kinfolk Brass Band truly helped make our wedding celebration feel special and unique to us as a couple. We highly recommend them!

Perfect second line!
Kinfolk Brass band made our second line so much fun! They had great energy and kept me walking and dancing even when my feet hurt. It was great to have them coordinate the second line route around the church and organize our police escort. The second line was one of my favorite parts of the whole wedding weekend!
