A vintage approach for modern lovers + intimate moments. I photograph people in love, with each other, with their families, and with the life they’re building, using 35mm film and instant film. Having worked in the wedding industry in roles ranging from planning to day-of coordination, I bring a calm, intuitive understanding of weddings into the way I photograph. I offer a range of photography sessions captured on 35mm film and instant film, ranging from in-home couples sessions and maternity photos to engagements, elopements, weddings, and small celebrations. Based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Open to travel anywhere in the USA!

I approach weddings with a mix of documentary storytelling, film photography, and real wedding industry experience. Alongside photography, I’ve also worked behind the scenes in weddings and event logistics for years, which allows me to move through a wedding day calmly and intuitively without adding extra pressure or chaos. I primarily shoot on 35mm and instant film because I love the emotion, texture, and permanence of analog photography. The final galleries feel nostalgic and timeless while still feeling deeply connected to the people in them rather than overly curated or trend-focused.

A vintage approach to a modern guest experience. Guests are invited into a dedicated portrait area for candid or lightly guided instant film portraits created in real time.     WOW WOW WOW

    Working with Sonny of oathbound film photography was one of my favorite shoots hand down. It was so freeing and I have never felt so beautiful.     Would give 10 out of 5 stars if I could. She takes such thought and care about how she takes photos with her clients. Always makes sure to take more than less, provides good instruction during, and most importantly has so much fun doing it which makes the experience so much easier and enjoyable.

No, I prefer focusing on photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible.
Film photography is best suited for couples who prefer a natural, documentary approach rather than heavily posed or highly directed images. I offer light guidance when helpful, but most moments are photographed as they naturally unfold. If you’re looking for flash-heavy photography, strict shot lists, or very staged images, a digital photographer may be a better fit — or I can work alongside one as a secondary film photographer. For elopements, courthouse weddings, and smaller daytime celebrations, I often serve as the primary photographer when the pace and lighting work well with a film-based approach.
Film is developed and professionally scanned by a lab, which establishes the overall color and tone of the images. I review the scans and may make very light adjustments when needed, but the photographs are largely delivered as they naturally appear on film rather than heavily edited or retouched.
Your final images are delivered as high-resolution digital scans. Film is professionally developed and scanned to preserve the full detail and character of the original negatives, allowing you to print them in any format you like. Traditional 4×6 prints are not included in your deliverables. I’m always happy to recommend high-quality print labs or help arrange prints once your gallery is delivered.
When the day arrives, my goal is to document the experience as it naturally unfolds. I arrive at the agreed start time and photograph throughout the coverage you’ve selected, prioritizing the moments and people that matter most to you. I offer light guidance when needed so you never feel awkward in front of the camera, but most of the time I’m observing quietly and capturing the moments that happen in between
Film photography works a bit differently than digital. Each roll of film contains a limited number of exposures (24 to 36 each), and the number of rolls used can vary depending on the pace of the day, lighting conditions, and how moments unfold naturally.
Most sessions are photographed on a mix of color and black & white 35mm film, depending on the light, mood, and feeling of the moment. Instant film may also be used for a small set of prints during sessions.
For guest counts over 75, tighter timelines, or multiple locations, a second photographer helps ensure nothing is missed and results in more photos overall — essentially doubling your film coverage.
Yes. Couples receive a shared inspiration board before their session so we can align on mood, location ideas, and overall atmosphere while still keeping space for things to unfold naturally
For Weddings: Delivery includes approximately 150–300 scanned images on a mix of black and white and color 35mm film, along with 10–20 Instax Wide prints and 10–20 Instax Mini prints. For Elopements: Delivery includes approximately 80–150 scanned images on a mix of black and white and color 35mm film, along with 10–20 Instax Wide prints and 10–20 Instax Mini prints. Extended coverage naturally yields an additional 20–40 images per hour.
