Big Fun Entertainment & Brass Band was founded as a brass band by Corey and his friends from Southeastern University. Over the years the business has grown to be so much more than a brass band, now offering all things live music related from a 2ndline parades in the streets, to a high energy cover band, small and large jazz ensembles, DJ services and more! Abby, Corey's wife, is the resident DJ and operations manager of the business and would love to connect with you to see if Big Fun can provide the right services for your event!

We're a family owned and operated business based in Southeastern Louisiana, and we use a wide network of incredible musicians to execute our events. I would say what sets us aside is the love and and care we have for both our clients and our musicians- it's very important to us that our musicians and our clients enjoy their experience in collaborating with us, because our business only thrives if both parties genuinely enjoy their experience and feel they're cared for throughout the process.

    Amazing Second Line

    Working with BIG FUN Brass Band was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. They were so easy to work with. The fact that they coordinated all the permits and police escort was such a relief and well worth it! On the day of our wedding, they absolutely crushed our second line—the energy was unreal and our guests are still talking about it. Their talent is undeniable and their professionalism made everything flow smoothly. Highly recommend!

    Played Rain or Shine!

    Big Fun Brass Band brought the party and Second Line vibes to our wedding. Despite the rain, we marched on leading the Second Line for our wedding while the band played such fervor making the entire moment unforgettable for us and our guests. We could not have asked for a more magical second line at our wedding! Big Fun is extremely professional and communicative throughout the entire process, while dealing with the logistics of having a second line. We highly recommend Big Fun for any festivities - especially a wedding!

    They’re PERFECT️

    Our Second Line was even better than I could’ve ever dreamed! My husband and I had the most fun and all of our guests, especially those unfamiliar with New Orleans, were absolutely having the time of their lives and we owe it to Big Fun!

    Made My Birthday SO Special

    Absolutely unforgettable experience. We organized a second line parade in New Orleans to celebrate my 50th birthday, and it was hands-down one of the best celebrations of my life. Huge shoutout to Abby Bostic, who organized everything flawlessly. The band was incredible, the stilt walker and juggler were such fun surprises, and even the police escort felt special — it truly felt like the ultimate New Orleans experience. Every detail was handled perfectly. And the passserbys in town even joined in the parade. My girlfriends were completely surprised (which made it even better), and everyone had an amazing time. The joy, energy, and excitement stayed with us long after the parade ended. If you’re looking for a truly memorable way to celebrate something big, this is it — and New Orleans is the perfect city for it. Thank you, Abby, for making it so special.

Typically we wear the traditional Brass Band Outfit (Black shoes, Black shoes, Black ties, White button down, and the Brass band hat with our BIG FUN hat bands)
Yep! We need access to the request as far in advance as possible to make sure it fits well with the brass band instrumentation.
We're a dynamic group of professionals based out of New Orleans dedicated to bringing BIG FUN to every event, huge or tiny. We're all full-time musicians and more importantly, close friends who have been making music together for over 10 years.
Yep! We provide music for every aspect of your event! For ceremonies we can do traditional jazz along the lines of Louis Armstrong and / or the classical wedding songs such as cannon in D and Bridal march. For cocktail hours we typically play purely Traditional Jazz For the reception we play a mix of Contemporary Brass Band music combined with more popular top 40 covers of today and the past.
For 2nd lines the band will arrive with the police (if we've booked them) 15 minutes prior to the event. For reception style events the band will complete soundcheck by whatever time is necessary to prevent interruption of anything else going on with the event.
