Sidney Donaldson Photography
Rating: 5.0 (43 reviews)
New Orleans, LA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $600

I've been shooting weddings for almost 10 years now and love every single one. The love, the joining of 2 people, and the fun of having everyone together. I strive to have every single important moment captured to remember for a lifetime.

Awarded Best of Zola
We knew from the start that our wedding would be a small, intimate affair, and we wanted a photographer who could capture the special moments without being intrusive. Sidney was absolutely perfect! Communication was a breeze. Sidney was always responsive, and they took the time to understand our vision for the day. He arrived early arrived and with an assistant and both blended seamlessly into the background. They captured candid moments of our family and friends, as well as some beautiful posed portraits. We received the sneek peak very quickly and the only "hard part" is picking from all the many photos to move on to the final gallery!

EyeLuster Photography

Hi, I’m Natalie, the photographer behind EyeLuster Photography. I’m a New Orleans wedding and portrait photographer focused on natural, polished images with a relaxed and fun experience. With over 10 years of experience photographing weddings, families, and events across the country, I bring a calm, organized approach that helps couples feel comfortable and present on their wedding day.

Working with Natalie at Eye Luster Photography was honestly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From the very beginning, she went above and beyond to make sure everything felt easy, organized, and genuinely fun instead of stressful. She was incredibly attentive, communicative, and clearly cared about capturing the day in a way that felt authentic to us. What impressed me most was how present she was without ever being intrusive. She somehow managed to anticipate moments before they happened and capture them beautifully. Most of my favorite photos from the entire day are candid moments I didn’t even realize she was photographing—quiet laughs with friends, my family reacting during the ceremony, little in-between moments that might have otherwise gone unnoticed. Those photos ended up framed in our living room because they feel so real. She also made everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera, which is no small feat. Even guests commented on how kind and professional she was throughout the day. It felt like she truly cared about telling the story of our wedding, not just checking off a list of poses. When we received our photos, we were blown away. The gallery perfectly captured the energy, emotion, and joy of the day. Looking through them felt like reliving the whole experience. If you're looking for a photographer who is talented, thoughtful, and truly invested in her clients, I cannot recommend her enough.

Stephanie Tarrant Photo
Rating: 5.0 (8 reviews)
New Orleans, LA
  • Photojournalistic style

Behind the camera, I am witnessing every detail that presents itself to me. I am a freelance photojournalist, second generation florist + floral preservationist and seasoned wedding photographer based in New Orleans. I have this superpower that helps everyone feel comfortable getting photographed, and I capture things just as they are. Years in the service industry carved a work ethic out of easy connections; I love to meet and work with new people. Planners, lovers, dreamers, welcome to the fold.

Stephanie Tarrant Photo was the perfect choice for our wedding photography needs. From the very first interaction, Steph's friendly, understanding, and patient demeanor put a smile on our faces. Her gregarious nature helped bring everyone together, even those who didn't know each other well. She has a fun, open personality that made everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera and in general. Steph's work is truly captivating - her cinematic style captured all the beautiful, special moments of our day in a way that far exceeded our expectations and keeps us coming back to her. Steph was there from start to finish, seamlessly blending in to join in on the fun. She was amazing with our 5-year-old nephew, getting him to smile and engage with the process. Both for our elopement and our larger religious ceremony, we were ecstatic to have Steph as our photographer. We couldn't be happier with the memories Stephanie Tarrant Photo has provided us with and I will never call anyone else for our special moments.

Stephen Lomonaco Photography
Rating: 5.0 (7 reviews)
New Orleans, LA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,000

Photography has always been a meaningful part of my life. My dad's photographs hung in my bathroom as a small child, and I often admired them. When my mom would pull down old boxes of photos, I was struck by awe with every flip. By the time I was in high school, I always had a disposable in my pocket. It was so exciting to snap those brief moments. Although I have decades of experience behind the lens, it was not until 2020 that I officially opened by business as a freelancer. I love getting to know others, and am eager to help tell your story.

Awarded Best of Zola
From our engagement session all the way through our wedding day, Stephen Lomonaco Photography delivered exactly what he promised. His communication was straightforward and reliable, which made planning feel easy and stress-free. Stephen showed up with everything he needed to make each shot look incredible, including bringing a ladder for our 30-person family portrait inside—that kind of problem-solving made all the difference. He also became a guest favorite; people couldn't stop talking about how fun and personable he was after our wedding. We also loved that he offered film photography packages, and those images ended up being some of our absolute favorites. While wedding planning, he was always honest in communications about other clients/events that may cause a slow reply, etc., but always delivered. I really appreciate the extra time he spent with me ahead of our big day to make our shot list. Stephen's attention to detail and work ethic shine through in every photo, and we'd recommend him to any couple looking for a photographer who genuinely cares about capturing their story.

Hi, I’m Hannah. I’m a lover of art, stories, and spark—the perfect alchemy to creating and capturing all those memory-making, magical moments. Weddings, to me, are about your unique narrative, your origin stories and your threads of connection; the ways in which you’ve woven a love through a tapestry of compassion and inspiration and all that makes you you— both as individuals and as a couple. That’s the fabric of the photo, the material I like to work with; because of this, my photos lean atmospheric and candid.

New Aera Wedding Photography
Rating: 5.0 (5 reviews)
New Orleans, LA
  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $2,500

New Aera is a New Orleans wedding photography studio led by Whit Forrester. We believe wedding photos are heirlooms — archives of the people you love, preserved for generations. With a documentary and editorial eye, we capture the candid, unscripted moments alongside the beautifully composed ones. From intimate French Quarter elopements to grand celebrations, we bring artistry and genuine care to every wedding. Our couples return to their galleries for years, sharing images that go on to other altars, other ceremonies, other lives.

As someone with a photography background, I think the photos are one of the most important parts of a wedding. As someone who is admittedly hard-to-please, I was really nervous that no one would be able to live up to my expectations, but Whit at New Aera did an incredible job! I normally hate the way I look in pictures, but Whit managed to capture the exact moments and angles that made me (and everyone else) look amazing. He has a great sense of composition and lighting, and his style is very editorial/documentary, which I liked. He captured a lot of little moments before and after the wedding - like me putting on the cake-topper or my brother helping take the decorations down after the guests left - and didn't just focus on the "main event." I love that because those moments were kind of a blur at the time, but the pictures help me remember them just as vividly as the moment I said "I do." I can't recommend New Aera highly enough- they are amazing!

Matthew Foster Photography

New Orleans, LA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,500

Matthew Foster is a passionate, creative wedding photographer based in New Orleans, Louisiana. His documentary style photography distills the joy, emotion, and unique flavor of your most important moments.

Newlywed here! If you’re looking for editorial-style wedding photography filled with candid moments, glamorous portraits, and raw, genuine emotion, Matthew Foster Photography is truly UNMATCHED. I honestly don’t know how to put into words how grateful and blown away we are by Matt and Liz. Having them as our wedding photographers was one of the very best decisions we made. They are not just photographers — they are true artists, with an incredible level of experience, an unmatched eye for detail, and the ability to capture moments in a way that feels cinematic, emotional, and deeply authentic. My husband, Jon, and I first discovered Matt through Instagram, and the moment we saw his work, our jaws dropped. From our very first phone call, Matt was a breath of fresh air — confident in his work without ever feeling arrogant or off-putting. He was genuinely excited to learn about us and our vision, listened carefully, and made us feel completely at ease. Both of us knew immediately that he was the right photographer for us. We met Matt in person for our engagement session about eight months before the wedding, and he was just as amazing in person as we had hoped. He was warm, calm, and reassuring, guiding us effortlessly through photos while making everything feel natural and unforced. That session built a level of trust that carried all the way through our wedding day — we fully trusted every location, movement, and moment he directed. On the wedding day, we finally met Liz — and wow. She is so incredibly sweet and brought her absolute A-game. Together, Matt and Liz are the definition of a dream team – and so much fun to work with!! They captured so many tender, emotional moments throughout the entire day with such intention and artistry. Every detail mattered. They were always present, even when you didn’t notice them, and everything felt organic and effortless — even the posed portraits. When Matt posted our wedding teasers on Instagram, I couldn’t contain my excitement and almost peed my pants LOL j/k! I knew our photos would be beautiful, but they completely blew us away. The images are striking, moody, emotional, and energetic — with an undeniable glam factor — perfectly capturing the atmosphere and heart of our day. Our wedding photos tell a story so vividly that we are instantly transported back every time we look at them. We can relive the emotions, the moments, and the magic all over again. We are endlessly thankful for what Matt and Liz created for us and for the role they played in our wedding story — and somewhere along the way, Matt and Liz became more than just our photographers; they became friends. If you want photographs that don’t just document your day but move you, stop your heart, and last a lifetime, Matt and Liz are truly unparalleled.

Nola Darlings Photography
Rating: 5.0 (5 reviews)
New Orleans, LA
  • Classic style
  • Starts at $3,500

My dream for Nola Darlings Photography is to create a safe and inclusive space for all people. No matter who you love, how you love, or what you look like you deserve to have amazing photos. Let’s face it, a lot of what we see out there just isn’t relatable. The vibe might seem very relaxed but I’ve been behind the camera (professionally) for over 10 years and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Photography. I was being published in magazines in Orlando before I graduated from college. I just like to use everything I’ve learned over those many years to make it feel incredibly easy and even fun, yes fun, for my clients.

Nola Darlings Photography was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding day. From our first conversation, Ash was always friendly, relaxed, and completely professional. She made me feel comfortable in front of a camera, which isn’t easy! On the day of the wedding, Ash seamlessly guided us through all the photo moments, providing just the right amount of direction to ensure we looked our best without ever feeling overly posed or staged. The final photos were absolutely stunning - high quality, vibrant, and captured all the special moments of our day. We couldn't be happier with the value and speed of her work. Nola Darlings Photography truly helped make our wedding day perfect, and we highly recommend them to any couple looking for a talented, personable photography team!

Rating: 5.0 (5 reviews)
New Orleans, LA

What you see is what you get. No fancy job titles, no big company, no outsourcing editing. My approach is always to capture the authenticity of the story unfolding before me. From the brief glimpse of a tear in a groom's eye as his bride walks down the aisle, the split-second stillness of a toddler, or the tender moments between a new husband and wife. I strive to create images that tell stories. Images that age like fine wine and make you feel exactly how you felt on your wedding day. It's about the little moments, the ones that happen in-between, it's about the connection, the laughs, the tears….it’s what makes your story…yours.

Working with Daniel and Jazmin was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. I was instantly drawn to Daniel’s portfolio - the blend of moody, editorial, candid, and natural was exactly what I wanted but couldn’t fully articulate. From our first consultation, he was warm, charismatic, and incredibly professional. He’d worked with our planner and at our venue before, which gave us so much confidence. Daniel went above and beyond even before the wedding. He helped us think through videographer options, reviewed our timeline in detail, and met with me a few days beforehand to talk through my “good side,” insecurities, and overall vibe. I felt completely comfortable with him - and I could tell he genuinely listened and kept those things in mind throughout the entire day. On the wedding day, both Daniel and Jazmin were fantastic. They were efficient, calm, respectful of private moments, and so good at giving natural direction. The portraits Jazmin took of my husband are unbelievable - truly frame-worthy. The two of them shoot so seamlessly together that our gallery feels cohesive and beautifully curated. Our preview gallery was delivered shockingly fast with way more photos than I expected. And now that we’ve seen the full gallery, I’m blown away all over again. The photos capture not just what the day looked like, but what it felt like. They caught the big moments, the tiny moments, and everything in between. If I could, I would hire Daniel and Jazmin for every major life event going forward. They’re that good. Warm, talented, detail-oriented, and an absolute joy to work with. I cannot recommend them enough.

I’m Holly, a New Orleans–based photographer specializing in engagement and wedding imagery that feels natural, cinematic, and deeply personal. Living and working in the French Quarter, I love incorporating the charm, texture, and energy of the city into my work, while always keeping the focus on your connection. My goal is to create an experience that feels relaxed, fun, and tailored to you—so your photos reflect who you are together, not just how you look. I’m passionate about documenting love in a way that feels honest, artful, and timeless.

Owning a fancy camera does not make you a photographer. As a graphic designer, it was of importance that I worked with a photographer with not only actual training, but also with their own unique artistic expression. Holly produced beautiful shots we could have never imagined possible and captured not just scenes, but emotion as well. It’s pretty cool her work is showcased in galleries, a testament to her talent.

Kayla Lazard Photography
Rating: 5.0 (2 reviews)
New Orleans, LA
  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $3,499

Hi, I'm Kayla, a Louisiana Photographer that will travel anywhere! I introduced myself to photography by taking a trip to Israel in college I was selected to attend. I purchased a cheap camera for the trip, came home and was suggested to start taking photos. Well, after telling myself no, here I am! I love meeting new people and getting creative with a camera in my hands. Photography just so happened to fall into my lap God. I am also a college graduate from University of Louisiana at Lafayette with bachelors degree in finance. I know, way off from Photography, lol! I’ve now been photographing for 7 years. I love, LOVE on camera!

Kayla Lazard Photography is an incredible wedding photographer that I would highly recommend to any couple. From the moment we first spoke, Kayla's open communication style and ability to really listen and guide us made us feel so at ease. She has an incredible talent for bringing visions to life, and the quality of her work is truly top-tier. In fact, her photography is so amazing that I think she should be shooting with celebrities and at all the red carpet events! After seeing my engagement photos, my bridesmaids underestimated her work by believing she was a white girl…they were even waiting in anticipation to see Kayla's work from my wedding day. And she did not disappoint - Kayla kept me calm and composed throughout the day, never forcing me to pose in any way just to get the job done. You can tell she puts so much love, thought, and artistry into every image. Kayla also has great rapport with the other vendors, ensuring we were all working together seamlessly as one team. I would highly recommend booking Kayla Lazard Photography as soon as possible - she is in very high demand, so be sure to reserve her for your wedding day, engagement session, and any other photography needs all at once to ensure you don't miss out. She is truly the dopest!

Hi! Theresa here! I am a thirty something wife and mother who has been shooting weddings for almost a decade! I made a promise to myself after my own wedding photographs were not ideal, that I would commit to documenting life as it unfolds not just for me, but for others. I don't want you to feel the way that I felt looking at my wedding photographs. My clients keep me inspired and they are a constant reminder of how much joy and work it takes to stay married to the love of your life. My style is editorial but approachable and I thrive working with couples who have a genuine heart and open mind.

Gris Gris Photography
Rating: 5.0 (2 reviews)
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Serves New Orleans, LA

My name's Traven and I'm a New Orleans wedding photographer. I've been shooting photos ever since I was old enough to grab my mother's old film camera, one I still shoot with today. While we all love a beautiful portrait to memorialize our friends and family being together, I find the real beauty in a wedding is the sense of celebration. Capturing you and your loved ones having a great time drinking, laughing, and twerking are my favorite things to capture. I have, much like my mom's old pictures, always had a very documentary style to all of my work, professional and personal.

We had an incredible experience with Gris Gris and are so happy with how our pictures turned out. He was timely, communicative, and organized and understood our style and vision perfectly. We found Gris Gris through the knot (rather than friend recommendations), so we asked a trusted photographer friend to look through his portfolio. She responded that we should book him right away, and we are so glad that we did! They have a variety of packages to choose from, so their structure works for any type of event. Ahead of the wedding, Gris Gris helped us establish the best timeline for our ceremony based on sunset, and had an excellent set of planning templates to make sure everything went smoothly the day of. We did a quick round of portraits before the ceremony and asked for lots of documentary-style photos during the ceremony and reception. The lighting and exposure were just what we wanted for the finished look. Gris Gris was super accommodating of the shots we wanted, flexible with our atypical ceremony, and were just all-around pleasant to work and spend the evening with. We got preview images within a couple of days and a clear timeline for the full batch of edited images. We could go on forever, but in summary, we would wholeheartedly recommend Gris Gris for a wedding or any other event. Thank you so much!

Willow's World Photo
Rating: 5.0 (2 reviews)
New Orleans, LA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $1,850

Though weddings do involve countless grand traditions, these time-honored rituals share space with some of the most quirky, silly, touching, and profoundly, uniquely personal experiences that a family will ever share. As a photojournalist, I'm there to capture these moments - all of the things that make your wedding YOUR wedding. Some of the details are elegant...some are fun...some might just be flat-out strange. But they're all a part of what makes you, your relationship, and your wedding unique. You put a lot of work into making your wedding a true reflection of your personality. My job is to do the exact same thing for your photos.

I had a very small elopement ceremony in City Park and by small, I mean six people in total including the officiant and photographer. None of which had much experience in weddings, save for Willow, who became the impromptu director, patiently explaining to us the set ups for each of the photos and walked us through the majority of the ceremony. She’s incredibly sweet, kind, and funny and made the whole experience very fun and easy! She knew the best places to get great shots and my photos turned out so incredibly beautiful. Her editing style is impeccable and she goes above and bring to make sure you’re happy with every aspect of your photos! She’s very thorough and accommodating, and I got them back super fast compared to what I was expecting. Overall incredible experience, I recommend her to everyone I know!

Rare Sighting Photography
Rating: 5.0 (2 reviews)
New Orleans, LA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,800

Greetings! I’m Dr. Devonte Williford, owner and lead photographer of Rare Sighting Photography — a portrait and wedding photography service based in New Orleans, but available worldwide. Thanks so much for spending a little time on my small slice of the internet. Get comfy and take a look around. I look forward to your visit leading to a connection between us soon.

Devonte, is a visionary and truly one of the most authentic, genuine vendors we got to work with in our wedding. We didn't expect that our photographer would be the one who set the tone and vibe for the day, but honestly he subtly put both my husband and I at ease, brought the energy and joy and we couldn't have imagined our day without him. One of the coolest things about Devonte's photos is that he accurately caught almost every one of our guest quirks/mannerisms that we adore about that person without ever have meeting a single guest prior to the wedding. His eye behind the camera is so artistic and intentional and he captured so much emotion in every shot. We didn't get a videographer, and truthful we didn't need one because looking through his photos was like watching a video recording of the day because he didn't miss a moment, emotion, or detail and each picture felt like reliving a vivid memory. I cried happy tears the entire time I reviewed the final edits. Everyone whose seen our photos is stunned by the quality and beauty of each shot and have given us so much praise for our photos. This might be niche, but if you are looking for a photographer who has experience working with multiracial and ethnic weddings Devonte is the best! Unfortunately, that's not always something a lot of photographers have experience with and we've been highly disappointed in the past but NOT with Devonte! He captured everything beautifully; knew how use lighting to his advantage, didn't wash out our skin tones, and knew how to compose and incredibly diverse racial, ethnic wedding with ease. Finally from a logistics and communication point of view, Devonte is a dream to work with. He uses automated messages to let you know he'll respond with in 2 business days and almost always responded within 1. He let us reach out to him as much as needed and made it clear what he needed from us (which was not much) and he got us sneak peeks and final edits in rapid speed! He was early to the venue, kept on schedule and was highly efficient (and FUN; it wasn't a rushed experience or all about business!) We don't have enough space to praise Devonte for all that he deserves; but I will end this review by saying we won't be looking for other photographers in the future. Even as an out of town couple, we will be making the trip back to New Orleans for all our professional photo needs because Devonte is worth it and then some! We also appreciate that he's a leader in the community, and his passion for photography isn't just a business it's a unifier for him. As very values driven people, we sought out vendors who also share a passion for community, empowerment, and are people making a difference in the City of New Orleans. All of this to say, I promise you, you will not regret working with Devonte and having his photos for a lifetime of memories. We feel as though we've met someone who we will be connected to well beyond our wedding and hope to continue to support his business and work well beyond our wedding day and that's an intangible quality in a wedding vendor!

Katie Figura Photography

  • Starts at $2,850

I love weddings because they are rich with life. I view photography as a form of story telling, and my photos document the narrative of your day. I think being present in life is extremely important for fulfillment. I want my clients to be completely in the moment, not taken out of it to focus on a pose. Your job is to enjoy your wedding, my job is to capture ALL of it.

From our first conversation, we knew Katie Figura Photography was the right choice for us. Katie's direct and thoughtful approach made planning easy, and she stayed responsive throughout the entire process. On our wedding day, she had a gift for capturing genuine moments, the photos feel natural and perfectly reflect how our day actually unfolded. She was incredibly patient with our family and friends, which meant everyone felt comfortable in front of the camera. We got sneak peeks back quickly, and the final images exceeded what we imagined. Katie's attention to detail and collaborative style made our wedding day feel special from start to finish.

Hey, I’m Audie! No not like the car lol but pronounced like Audience…just drop the '“nce” If you are wondering who is behind the camera, you came to the right place. Obviously the “About Me” section is nearly impossible for me to sum up who I am, but here are a few things you should know. I love traveling! I have had a travel bug that needed an itch for quite some time now. Traveling has always been a passion of mine. My parents think I ought to slow it down a bit, but hey You Only Live Once right? I recently traveled to Bali this past January. I can tell you all about it at our next session ;)

Audie as absolutely Perfect! His calm demeanor and professionalism put us at ease on such a overwhelming day. The photos are stunning. We highly recommend Audie J to anyone looking for a talented and reliable wedding photographer who is both talented and professional."
