Photography has always been a meaningful part of my life. My dad's photographs hung in my bathroom as a small child, and I often admired them. When my mom would pull down old boxes of photos, I was struck by awe with every flip. By the time I was in high school, I always had a disposable in my pocket. It was so exciting to snap those brief moments. Although I have decades of experience behind the lens, it was not until 2020 that I officially opened by business as a freelancer. I love getting to know others, and am eager to help tell your story.

Letting you be yourself is my ultimate goal. Whether that be a peaceful and collected scene, or a loud and unique narrative, I'd love to help you cherish these special moments. My technique lends itself in both a documentary and editorial style. This means you will get to see both the sweet and special candid moments, as well as some directed moments to help you cherish every bit of your day.     Favorite Memories captured

    From our engagement session all the way through our wedding day, Stephen Lomonaco Photography delivered exactly what he promised. His communication was straightforward and reliable, which made planning feel easy and stress-free. Stephen showed up with everything he needed to make each shot look incredible, including bringing a ladder for our 30-person family portrait inside—that kind of problem-solving made all the difference. He also became a guest favorite; people couldn't stop talking about how fun and personable he was after our wedding. We also loved that he offered film photography packages, and those images ended up being some of our absolute favorites. While wedding planning, he was always honest in communications about other clients/events that may cause a slow reply, etc., but always delivered. I really appreciate the extra time he spent with me ahead of our big day to make our shot list. Stephen's attention to detail and work ethic shine through in every photo, and we'd recommend him to any couple looking for a photographer who genuinely cares about capturing their story.

    Amazing photographer and easy to work with.

    Stephen Lomonaco Photography made our wedding day so much easier. From our first conversation to the final delivery of our photos, everything was seamless and he was always responsive to our questions. His work is truly unmatched—every shot he captured was beautiful and he went above and beyond by getting all the moments we requested plus plenty of behind-the-scenes photos we didn't even know we needed. We were still on our honeymoon and he had photos two days after our wedding ready for us to look at, gets them back to you in a fast timeframe, without losing the great quality of his work. The quality of his images is outstanding and the value we got was exceptional. Stephen has an incredible eye for detail and made us feel comfortable in front of the camera throughout the day. We couldn't be happier with our decision to hire him and would recommend him to any couple looking for an exceptional photographer.

    Great Photographer! Great Vibe! Fast Response!

    Stephen Lomonaco Photography was a fantastic choice for our wedding photographer. From the very beginning, Stephen was fast to respond, easy to understand, and offered very affordable rates. He had a super chill vibe that instantly put us at ease. The quality of his work was beyond exceptional and the photos he delivered captured all the special moments and memories of our big day, and he even went above and beyond our shot list to deliver amazing shots we didn't even know we wanted. Stephen was so wonderful that our whole family and all our guests absolutely fell in love with him. He handled everything with such grace and professionalism, which allowed us to just relax and enjoy our wedding day.     Wedding photographer

    Stephen was very easy to work with before, during and after the event. He communicated very well via email and was prepared on the day. He was there when I arrived at the venue. He took photos of everything we requested and more! I was very impressed when I received the photos back. Even my mother mentioned how well he took photos. My husband is not a picture taking person, and thought paying someone to take photos was a waste of time. Stephen was aware of this fact. My husband commented later how easy it was to work with Stephen. He did not feel pressure to take photos nor did he feel that Stephen was telling him what to do. It made the whole evening better!! Our event was small but Stephen was able to capture even the small details of the venue. I would HIGHLY recommend him!!

    Stephen is a treasure

    Stephen's style was so perfect for us on our day. He is equal parts professional and approachable. We just finished going through the photos and we kept gasping at the beauty of thems- truly magical. He was a soothing presence on our wedding day and we could not imagine a better person to have documented the best day ever. WE LOVE STEPHEN!!!!!!

My turnaround time does vary by season, but I try my best to turn around the photos as soon as possible - anywhere between five days to two weeks. In the busiest season, your full gallery will be online in around 14 days after your wedding. I do offer an additional service of delivering a small portion of photos next day, which I deliver before 5pm the next day.
Depending on the size of the wedding and the budget, I may suggest having an assistant or a second photographer to ensure the best coverage for your wedding. Any event over 200 guests, I will suggest the addition of a second photographer. As always, I am happy to try and best cater to your needs and budget.
I do not typically offer video, but I do have those services available.
For the busiest wedding months in New Orleans (March-April, October-November), I typically book 10-12 months out, but may have various days within that time frame available. I have also booked weddings and elopements a mere weeks out, so please feel free to check in for my availability!
Yes, all photos go through a post processing. In other words, all photos are edited before they are delivered. If you have a specific request that requires retouching, I offer a round of up to 20 photos for edits. Further retouching and time intensive edits are available at an additional charge.
