“Mary was so incredible to work with! We worked with Mary for our engagement photos and wedding day. Mary got to know my husband and I and captured photos that really felt like us. Neither of us naturally love being in front of the camera and Mary worked to bring us out of our shell. We couldn’t be happier with the way our engagement photos turned out and wedding sneak peaks!”

LOVE by Sergirée
Rating: 5.0 (46 reviews)
·Ratings include Zola and Google reviews
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $1,500
  • Serves Mission Hills, CA

My name is Sergio. My wife Desirée and I run LOVE by Sergirée together out of Los Angeles. I have been behind a camera for 15 years and weddings are where I do my best work. I shoot every wedding personally and edit every gallery myself, so what you see in our portfolio is exactly what you get. Desirée leads everything you cannot see, from the first email to the final album. Whether you are planning an intimate ceremony or a celebration with a full guest list, our approach is the same. Be present. Be honest. Let the moment unfold.

“Sergio was AMAZING! I don't even know where to begin. His communication from the jump was fantastic, especially as we tinkered with the timing of our microwedding/first look, and chatting with him as we adjusted things was always a stress-free experience. On our wedding day it was like he had this superpower where it was like he could be everywhere at once but also disappear and reappear when he needed to, to get a family member out of the light if they were washed out or to help rearrange the dress's train, and he was great with both our more extroverted and more camera-shy family members. He was so kind to everyone but also a true master of his craft, and his turn-around time for delivery was also bananas fast. He squeezed every moment of beauty out of our short wedding ceremony, getting both beautiful candids and bigger family photos, and we're so happy that these are the photos we'll look back on in the future, and show our kids and their kids. We can't recommend LOVE by Sergirée enough!”

Hobbyist coffee brewer, professional nap taker, and sucker for raw moments and authentic emotions. Dedicated to documenting the beautiful moments as they unfold. Based in Southern California & available worldwide.

“From start to finish, Yin was so much more than just our photographer, he truly felt like a friend. From our engagement photos to our wedding day and everything in between, he was there every step of the way. He went above and beyond, from venue meetups to thoughtful location scouting, making us feel completely supported and at ease throughout the entire process. His co-shooter, Nika, was equally incredible—professional, kind, and such a calming presence on the day. Together, they made the entire experience feel effortless and fun, while still capturing every meaningful moment so beautifully. Honestly, Yin doesn’t even need reviews (his work speaks for itself) but we feel so grateful to have worked with someone so talented, genuine, and invested in telling our story. We couldn’t have asked for a better team to document such an important chapter of our lives.”

Indigo West

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,900
  • Serves Mission Hills, CA

I took up photography at the ripe age of 11 with a Polaroid I borrowed from an aunt. It quickly became my sketchbook as I worked to capture stills of the world and people around me. Those images have continued to pay emotional dividends throughout my life, helping me better understand what I have now come to see through a new scope. They are grounding, melancholic, funny and beautiful. Some of my most cherished possessions.

Awarded Best of Zola
“Choosing Daniel from Indigo West as our wedding photographer was hands down one of the best decisions we made. From our first conversation, we loved his calm, thoughtful demeanor and his organic, artistic approach to capturing the day. His eye for composition and detail is exceptional and the photos truly tell a story. As a same-sex couple, we wanted someone who could move beyond traditional wedding clichés, capture the grandeur of our museum venue (complete with dinosaur skeletons) while making it feel intimate, and handle dark, dramatic spaces. Daniel did all of that and more. He captured the energy, emotion, laughter, and joy of the day beautifully. Daniel was efficient but never rushed. He was professional yet playful, and it felt like he immediately understood our dynamic as a couple and with our guests. We trusted his vision completely, and it absolutely shows in the photos. Most importantly, Daniel brought such a fun, relaxed energy—it never felt like he was just doing a job. We can’t recommend him enough.”

“Tom did a beautiful job of capturing our wedding day. We had the pleasure of booking Tom early on, and got a great deal that included engagement photos! If I’m being totally honest… the price felt too good to be true! Most wedding photography is wildly expensive… but we were so happy to find Tom who provided a reasonable quote ! We were nervous that the quality might not be the best, after all, he’s on the cheaper end of the spectrum. But man….. what a total score for us. We got HIGH QUALITY service that would normally cost us thousands and thousands of dollars. My fiance and I were so impressed with the engagement photos, we could not wait to see what beautiful magic he would come up with on our wedding day. He did not disappoint… Tom delivered such beautifully captured moments that I still look at on the daily. His work speaks for itself. My husband and I feel like Tom was almost more helpful than our coordinator! He directed everyone when it came to photos, which is exactly what I needed ! I was able to relax the entire time because Tom took it upon himself to be in charge… cannot emphasize what that did for us. We just got to enjoy the moment. If you want to perfectly capture that one special day AND get an additional coordinator in the process, pick Tom. And quite frankly, it was a steal. Tom should be charging much much more. Get this… our photos were ready TWO DAYS LATER. No extra cost. The videographer, Christian, he brought on was also so very talented. When I watched the video back… I was in tears. Absolute cinema. Christian and Tom were so fun and kind, I really wanted them to stay longer, OFF the clock just as as our guests! Don’t think it over… I promise you will not regret hiring these two. Book them before they become unavailable!”

“Our experience with Xenia and Mark (videographer) was truly amazing. Xenia is truly a dedicated professional and her camera work is truly phenomenal. We booked Xenia for both our engagement and wedding photos and she completely exceeded my expectations! We originally booked Xenia and Mark for our wedding in May but unfortunately our wedding venue closed last minute and we were left to scramble in finding a new venue and once we did Xenia was so accommodating and made the new wedding date work. Xenia and Mark are super easy to work with; truly genuine individuals! I scoured through hundreds of photographers before I came across Xenia and honestly, none of them compared to her work and eye for photography. Stop your search and book her; I promise you won't regret it. Thank you, Xenia and Mark!”

“I have known Jordan for a while as an event photographer and wasn't sure if he did grad pictures, especially for groups. I was pleased to figure out that he does grad photos too and is extremely flexible about it! I had a group of around 11 people, and he was able to give me quick responses about the rate, which was an absolute deal. Jordan really cares for his clients and makes sure that everything is discussed before the event, including an itinerary. He was extremely flexible if we needed an extra hour and potential location itinerary changes. Coordinating 11 people for a photo shoot is not easy, but Jordan managed to do it with ease, attention to detail, and efficiency! Thanks to his expertise and creativity with poses and shots, we got some amazing solo and group shots that we will remember for a lifetime. He magically makes the experience very efficient, but is also not afraid to have fun! Highly recommend!”

“Carmen did such an amazing job capturing our wedding back in July. As soon as we got engaged in 2019, we knew we wanted Carmen to do our photos. She did both our engagement and wedding shoot: Her work is so professional and so dreamy! And on top of that—she’s super fun and makes awkward people (like us) look so good! Our wedding was outdoors at Saddlerock Ranch, Malibu and had about 250 guests. Carmen and her team were so attentive, helpful, and made everything run smoothly! Carmen was my unofficial bridesmaid that day and anything that I needed, she was there. I know this review is only from my stand point of view, but everyone that I shared these photos with were in complete awe of how beautiful they turned out. We will definitely be reaching out to Carmen for future celebrations!”

While some photographers emphasize their gear or trendy post-processing, I take pride in subject-photographer interaction - the relation I build with clients, picking up on nuances in pose and expression while we shoot, anticipating the viewers' response - because ultimately, that's how photographs that matter to us are created. I'm a native New Yorker who found myself relocating to Los Angeles and making it my home. Wherever you'd like to have your wedding, it would be my pleasure to be your photographer.

Awarded Best of Zola
“We had the privilege of having Stephen photograph our entire wedding day! We could not be more happier with how the entire day was documented. Photography was one of the top vendors we prioritized our budget for. Each photo came out so great and I'm having a great time sharing them with family and friends. Stephen has wonderful communication, organization, and photography talents! - Planning: I found Stephen from Instagram and it so happened that he had worked with both our coordinator and venue previously. What attracted me first from his profile was his lighting/editing style - not too much overly exposed or brighten or romanticized photos. We not only preferred a more realistic color in our photos, but knew that our venue may not accommodate that bright style due to it being mainly indoors. Stephen took the initiative to set up a first meeting as well. We appreciated this as I know it's important for photographers and their clients to have good chemistry. We appreciated how straight forward Stephen was and how much his passion for capturing raw moments showed. It was clear that he shows that he likes to have fun while taking photographs and trying all kinds of ways of shooting, which was definitely demonstrated on the day of. Stephen was very organized and punctual from contracts to scheduling to communication. - Day of: Stephen was great during the wedding day! He was organized and made his own schedule with our coordinator's to be sure to get all requested and desired shots in during the day. He came so prepared with so many different poses in mind that there was never a moments where us and the wedding party never felt awkward or anything! Taking photos was fun and a very smooth and memorable process. I had the most fun taking pictures with my girls. I loved all the photos of the family, guests, and dancing as well. Stephen even took some time out during dancing to get some cool couple shots at night. I appreciated the film shots as well. Stephen took authority throughout the day and was so kind and accommodating. - Post-wedding: Stephen edits so quickly!! We got sneak peaks within a couple days. I wasn't sure how long all the photos would take and a few friends were saying theirs took 2-3 months! However, Stephen got an entire day's worth of photos to us in one month!!! He got the guest and family shots down, couple and bridal party shots captured, and perfect couple shots as well. I love all the lighting and color editing. He captured great candid moments as well. We have been staring at them ever since receiving them! Thank you so much Stephen for providing these photos for us! They are something we will remember our special day by! It was great working with you!”

“Working with Remo was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We first did an engagement shoot with him, and we were so blown away by his professionalism, creativity, and talent that hiring him for our wedding was an easy choice. From the very beginning, Remo was incredibly punctual, organized, and easy to communicate with. He is also just an extremely nice and easy-going person, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable. He helped us feel completely comfortable in front of the camera, and that comfort shows in every photo. On our wedding day, Remo exceeded every expectation. His eye for detail, artistic vision, and ability to capture both the big emotional moments and the quiet in-between moments made our photos truly unforgettable. He worked seamlessly throughout the day, always present but never intrusive, and kept everything running smoothly. The final galleries from both our engagement shoot and our wedding were absolutely stunning! Beautifully edited, timeless, and felt true to us as a couple. Gabbie Burseth Photo
Rating: 5.0 (14 reviews)
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $7,200
  • Serves Mission Hills, CA

Gabbie Burseth grew up documenting everything and saving mementos in empty Christmas boxes. After studying at the Grady School of Journalism at the University of Georgia, she discovered an affinity for weddings and their accompanying treasures. Her philosophy as a wedding photographer is to observe with as little interference as possible — no faking it, no do-overs, no “for the camera”. Her biggest desire is for couples to be present at their wedding, not stuck in a photoshoot. Her work is punctuated by rich and vibrant color, the timeless quality of analog film, and a sense of humor found in fleeting moments.

Awarded Best of Zola
“The professionalism, raw talent, and sweet demeanor are only a few of the exquisite gifts Gabbie offers. If you are looking for a photographer who is the complete package, look no further. When selecting wedding vendors, every blog post will tell you that choosing your photographer is one of the most important (if not the most important). However, little information is provided after that tidbit, which can be daunting for an excited (albeit overwhelmed) bride who wants every detail of their wedding to be perfect. Sean, my now husband, and I had selected our venue, The 1909 in Topanga Canyon, CA., and our coordinator, Allison, with West Events LA, provided us with a list of her preferred vendors -- insert us coming across Gabbie. I remember going to her website, scrolling through her work, and being enamored with how each photo captured a different emotion and feeling. We both immediately knew that from looking at her work alone, we wanted our photos to look and feel the same. After sending an inquiry and coordinating a call, Gabbie & I spoke on the phone for close to an hour about what we had in mind for our wedding, and I remember it all clicking when Gabbie described her work as "documentary" style. Sean and I knew we didn't want a videographer for our wedding, so Gabbie's techniques and overall vision aligned perfectly with what Sean and I wanted. We also opted to do a round of engagement photos with Gabbie 5 months before our wedding, where she came into our home to take photos of us in our most comfortable and natural state (chasing our dogs around the yard) and then for a shoot at a local winery that we love to go to. Not only did we have such a fun and great experience, but we also felt so comfortable and relaxed with Gabbie. We almost forgot we were there to have our photos taken! We received the gallery back shortly after and were so thrilled. Fast-forward to our wedding, we had hired Gabbie a second shooter for 8 hours. They met us at the venue for the final getting-ready details around 1 pm and stayed through to a good portion of the dance floor, around 9 pm. They arrived promptly and were even extra helpful with Sean when getting his suit on! While those details may seem minor to some, it was that unique care and attention from both Gabbie and her second shooter that made Sean & I, and all of our guests, feel so beautiful and confident to be themselves. When Sean and I got our gallery back, we spent a solid three hours scrolling through every captured moment, laughing, crying, and squealing with excitement. I am not exaggerating when I say that seeing the captured images and how Gabbie so beautifully arranged them in the album was purely magic. Any time we go through the album, we genuinely feel transported back to that day, and there is no doubt in my mind it is because of Gabbie's pure mastery of her craft. As part of her thorough questionnaire, one of the questions was what percentage of digital-to-film prints we would like, and for ours, we chose 50:50. I'm so glad we opted for film, and I almost wish we had had more because these photos are indeed what dreams are made of. The icing on the cake, Gabbie also wrote us an adorable card after the wedding, which included 3 of the film prints. Sean & I will forever be grateful to Gabbie for her work and friendship. We love you!!”

“Jess Onesto is an absolute dream to work with! My husband and I have always felt awkward when we have to pose for professional photos. Jess completely changed that experience for us. She seriously made me feel like I was a model throughout my entire wedding weekend. She has this innate ability to put everyone at ease and guide you so naturally that you forget you are even being photographed. Her direction feels effortless, and somehow she captures these genuine, intimate moments. We are absolutely obsessed with all of the photos we have seen thus far (I have included some here)! Every single shot is stunning, and our entire family has been raving about them non-stop. Throughout the wedding weekend, we received so many compliments from our guests about how much they loved Jess and her warm presence. She truly became part of our celebration. “We can’t begin without saying how amazing Kelsey and her team are! They are truly good at what they do. I’m normally really shy and awkward in front of a camera, but they made the experience so fun and comfortable. They knew the best angles and helped with our poses and told us where to go. The photos turned out so candid and beautiful! We cannot get over them and we got so many compliments! We are so happy that we chose Kelsey and her team for our engagement shoot and wedding photos. These types of moments are once in a lifetime and you don’t want to miss anything good and that’s why we’re so grateful that they captured everything for us. We trust them so much. We already want Kelsey and her team to shoot for our one year anniversary!”

“Where to begin? As a photographer myself, I thought I'd have a really hard time choosing a wedding photographer, but when I saw Nate and Amanda's work, my search was over. If you're having trouble choosing a photographer/videographer, you can stop here. Nate and his second shooter, Ashley were an absolute dream to work with. They made us so comfortable and actually helped in ways I wasn't expecting. They kept us on time so we didn't miss any important moments but still managed to capture everything we wanted with ease. They simultaneously grabbed video while shooting photos without interruption. Nate is creative and will work with you to figure out the best settings and ways to capture who you are as a couple and document the day so you never forget it. Cannot thank The Shalom Imaginative enough for their creative collaboration and attention to detail!”

With over 24 years of experience behind the lens, Sam Sean Photography offers timeless, story-driven images that capture life’s most meaningful moments. Specializing in family portraits, weddings, and group photography, I’m passionate about creating natural, heartfelt images that reflect each client’s unique story. I began my career at Joey Ikemoto Photography Studio as a lead photographer, where I also managed the studio’s website and SEO strategy. That experience shaped my commitment to quality, client care, and technical excellence.

“Having worked in the events industry for over a decade, I engaged with dozens of photographers with varying styles and approaches. When it came to my wedding, I saw Sam's work and knew immediately that he was going to be able to deliver the aesthetic my husband and I wished for. What I didn't know until the day of, was that he was such a delight to work with. He made me and my bridesmaids feel beautiful, capturing natural and authentic moments. He was present without being intrusive, and he somehow captured *every* single shot perfectly. I had a standard shot list like most brides do, but as things began to happen organically - with my guests, the food, sunset, the bar, people starting to dance - Sam got it all on camera. My husband and I absolutely treasure our wedding photos and can confidently say that hiring Sam was one of the best decisions we made. If you're here on Zola and you have a wedding planning checklist that is pages long, please take one thing off your list and just call Sam. He's delightful, his work is powerful, and he'll capture you and your partner exactly how you'd like to be remembered on your wedding day.”
