“Hiring Elliot was, hands-down, the best decision we made while planning our elopement. We were worried he'd not want to hike with us at Starved Rock State Park after our ceremony, but he was stoked to go on the adventure with us. He got to our ceremony spot with time to spare and was able to capture us gathering our 5 witnesses and walking them to the ceremony spot. Our ceremony pictures are so emotional. Elliot has a gift for capturing the depth of emotion being felt. He got beautiful photos of us with our parents that we will treasure for the rest of our lives. After the ceremony, we hiked for THREE HOURS!!! in and out of the canyons at Starved Rock State Park. The photos we got can only be described as fuc*ing epic. There were two canyons in particular I wanted to have photos taken and we were able to do both and so much before, after, and in between. We also got an insanely gorgeous video shot with drone footage, that we used to announce our elopement to our family and friends. We also got our sneak peaks back so fast! He was really good at directing us, especially as a couple who has never taken professional photos together before. He just made the whole process, the entire day, so much fun. We genuinely had such a great time and they are memories that we will never forget! Elliot was on time, professional, friendly, an expert in his field, and he did an absolutely outstanding job at capturing the most magical day of our lives. I still cannot believe these are OUR wedding photos. Thank you for everything, Elliot!”

“I have worked with Cara for MANY years. She has been nothing but kind, professional, timely, and a great communicator. When it came time to pick someone for my wedding, the choice could not have been more clear. Although I have not celebrated my wedding day yet, my engagement shoot and communication with Cara has been a dream. After booking her for our wedding, she helped us put together a timeline for the day, communicated the different options like first looks, and talk us though what we thought we would need. She was also able to recommend videographers. She has continued to go above and beyond. Since my Fiancé and I are currently located in Ohio, time in WI is very limited. I though this would make our engagement shoot difficult to schedule. That was not the case! Cara helped pick the location and scoped it out beforehand to make sure it was perfect. She made sure to fit us in on a Sunday when we were home at 7AM even though she had a wedding the night before! Less than an hour after the shoot we got 5 sneak peak photos. The full gallery was delivered right about 2-3 weeks later! I can not wait for my wedding day and have Cara Ann Photography capture the day and for Cara to be a teammate of the Scherdin/Curry wedding. I first worked with her in 2019 when she shot my then boyfriend and I's anniversary photos. They were incredible and the experience was so fun. She allowed us to play our own music and just be ourselves. After that experience, my family and I have never used a different photographer. She shot both of my brothers senior portraits and my sibling photos. My Fiancé also coordinated with her to do a surprise proposal shoot. She immediately set up an operation to get me in front of the camera under the disguise of a couples styled shoot. When the day came, we had the worst weather. I mean -40 and blizzard. That did not stop her from coming up with plan after plan to make the shoot work. She ended up driving 30 minutes to my parents house at 6pm on December 23rd to capture the special moment, simply out of the kindness of her heart. It was perfect.”

“I cannot put into words just how instrumental Lauren and her team were to our wedding day. I truly do not think it would have been possible without her. In case you need convincing, here are the top 10 reasons why you should have hired LAR Photography for your wedding yesterday: 1) (the most obvious reason) She is a genius behind the camera. She has a true talent for finding the beauty in every moment and capturing it. 2) She has a knack for making getting your picture taken not feel awkward, something we were very afraid about as people who don't often find themselves in front of a camera. 3) She has a wonderful team of people behind her. Shout out to Jared and Ashley as our second shooter and day-of coordinator respectively! 4) She goes above and beyond to make sure the final product is perfect (ie: color correcting every picture for my beautiful, wonderful maid of honor who unfortunately ordered the wrong color dress). 5) She is an expert on all things weddings. Lauren was the one who answered most of our wedding questions throughout the year-long process. This was not limited to photography questions. She knows how weddings work and gave us invaluable information about our timeline, our rehearsal, coordinating with other vendors, and the logistics of set up and tear down. 6) With Lauren, we felt like we were her only clients. Whenever we had a question, Lauren answered. She truly spent hours with us on the phone during the planning process. 7) On the wedding day, she is not just a photographer. Her and her team took care of literally everything that went wrong. They handled decor that broke. They made sure everyone in the wedding party was taken care of. Lauren even bustled my dress on when my mom and I couldn't figure it out. 8) Lauren is dedicated to her craft and her client's vision.
