Indigo West
Rating: 5.0 (10 reviews)
Los Angeles, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,900

I took up photography at the ripe age of 11 with a Polaroid I borrowed from an aunt. It quickly became my sketchbook as I worked to capture stills of the world and people around me. Those images have continued to pay emotional dividends throughout my life, helping me better understand what I have now come to see through a new scope. They are grounding, melancholic, funny and beautiful. Some of my most cherished possessions.

Awarded Best of Zola
Choosing Daniel from Indigo West as our wedding photographer was hands down one of the best decisions we made. From our first conversation, we loved his calm, thoughtful demeanor and his organic, artistic approach to capturing the day. His eye for composition and detail is exceptional and the photos truly tell a story. As a same-sex couple, we wanted someone who could move beyond traditional wedding clichés, capture the grandeur of our museum venue (complete with dinosaur skeletons) while making it feel intimate, and handle dark, dramatic spaces. Daniel did all of that and more. He captured the energy, emotion, laughter, and joy of the day beautifully. Daniel was efficient but never rushed. He was professional yet playful, and it felt like he immediately understood our dynamic as a couple and with our guests. We trusted his vision completely, and it absolutely shows in the photos. Most importantly, Daniel brought such a fun, relaxed energy—it never felt like he was just doing a job. We can’t recommend him enough.

Rivelle Media was an incredible choice for our wedding photography. From the moment we booked them, Mark and Ksenia were efficient, helpful, and extremely timely in their communication. On the day of the wedding, they put us at ease with their clear directions and attentive, caring approach. We were a bit anxious about taking professional photos, but they made us feel safe and comfortable. Mark and Ksenia were early to the venue and jumped right in, taking detail shots and planning out the itinerary. Our guests raved about how incredible they were, and we were impressed by how they checked the lighting before every shot, ensuring the pictures would come out amazing. I'm a digital and film Wedding Photographer in Los Angeles, CA. I'm trilingual and multicultural -- and it's my favorite thing about me. I will travel Southern California for your love story, from San Diego to LA, to Santa Barbara. My style is documentary and photojournalistic with a bit of an editorial and creative charm. I want you to look back on your images and be able to still feel the emotions within them for decades to come, truly.

Awarded Best of Zola
Fatima was such an incredible photographer (and person) to work with! Fatima was on a recommended vendors list my wedding planner, Koral Gerwatosky, provided me. When looking for a wedding photographer, I was really drawn to photojournalism photography style -- focusing on capturing the real, unscripted story of the day through candid and authentic moments. Fatima will do just that. The minute I saw her portfolio, and spoke with her over Zoom for our a consultation, I felt confident that she would capture our wedding beautifully. I went with her 8hr photo coverage with film photography polaroids, plus an engagement session. I love that she offers film photography polaroid shots alongside digital. It added the perfect touch of nostalgia and warmth that I love to our wedding gallery. Fatima was so easy to work with. We unfortunately had to postpone our wedding date from May 2025 to October 2025. She was so accommodating with moving dates. We were unable to do our engagement session before the wedding, but Fatima was more than happy to reschedule that for the new year. Despite only having met her over zoom and email (given we were not able to do the engagement session prior to our wedding), Fatima was so kind, warm and great at making you feel comfortable when shooting. I can feel awkward in front of the camera, but Fatima was so helpful in giving direction, shooting quickly and discretely. She was so efficient when shooting. We did a first look for our wedding, and we finished our family friends portraits w/ a few minutes to spare. It never felt rushed or overwhelming. During the ceremony, cocktail and reception, she was great at capturing everything behind the scenes, hardly being noticed or seen. It allowed us to really be in the moment. Because of that, she was able to capture so many beautiful, candid moments of our friends and family from that night. My husband and I are so happy with our wedding gallery and couldn’t recommend Fatima enough! She was able to capture our love so perfectly, along with the love and joy of our friends and family. If you are searching for a photographer who is able to tell a story through photos, Fatima is your person. We are grateful to her for giving us such a beautiful gallery we can cherish for years to come. We are so excited to get to work with her again in January for a family session!

Soda Fountain Photo
Rating: 4.9 (19 reviews)
Los Angeles, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,800

I’m Mysi (pronounced, boringly, “Missy”)! I’ve been at this thing for 12 years and I keep falling more and more in love with it all. Give me intimate micro-weddings, quirky dive bar weddings, raucous South Asian weddings... my team and I absolutely thrive in chaos and emotion. My specialty is catching the moments and those tiny moments in between. ✨✨✨

Awarded Best of Zola
Soda Fountain Photo was a fantastic choice for our wedding photographer. From the beginning, their communication was easy and they always responded quickly to any questions we had. On the day of the wedding, Mysi, the lead photographer, was an absolute joy to work with - she had such a sweet and fun energy that put us (and our bridal party) at ease. Most importantly, Soda Fountain Photo captured all the special moments of our wedding day with creativity and care. We are thrilled with how the photos turned out and feel they truly reflected the love and joy of our celebration. We highly highly recommend Soda Fountain Photo and feel so lucky to have had Mysi as a part of our story.

Jess Onesto
Rating: 5.0 (14 reviews)
Los Angeles, CA
  • Photojournalistic style

Jess is a wedding photographer serving couples from Los Angeles to New York City. She specializes in documenting moments with honesty and optimism to showcase her couples’ love for each other, love for their people and their love for a damn good time. “My work is bold, enduring, and honest.” With more than a decade of experience as a photographer and a background in fine art and film photography, Jess approaches each wedding with intention and a sense of novelty. She works in both digital and film mediums and her work has been featured in publications including Martha Stewart Weddings, Destination I Do and Brides.

Awarded Best of Zola
Since receiving our wedding photos from Jess, several of my friends and family members (including 2 professional photographers!) have asked me for her contact info because of how amazing her photos are!! When we started looking for a wedding photographer, we knew that we needed to find someone with a great eye for candids, who wouldn't make our pictures feel too staged, who had a fun/funky vibe like us, and who could handle wrangling my extremely large family (full of very opinionated people) for family photos, and Jess handled everything with ease! I feel so lucky that we found Jess, and I cannot recommend her more. Jess made everyone feel comfortable throughout the entire wedding day, and even gave guidance to family members who are normally awkward in photos (e.g. suggesting ways to pose to make them more comfortable). Jess went above and beyond throughout the entire planning process, checking in with us, getting to know us, and even coming to a venue walkthrough so she could get a sense of the space! I am so grateful for all of the work Jess put into our wedding, and the photos turned out better than I could have ever imagined. I rarely even like photos of myself, but I honestly am so in love with the ones that Jess took that I jump on every opportunity to whip out my phone and share them with friends!

Working with Jordan was a dream! We hired him to do our engagement photoshoot at the LA arboretum, and the photos are GORGEOUS! We ended up using some of the selects for our save the dates and for our wedding website. Jordan has a keen eye for detail both as a photographer and as an editor. He really leveraged the natural flora (and the peacocks, haha!!) at the arboretum to create gorgeous images for us. We hired Jordan again to edit our wedding photos, and they bring us so much joy every day when we look at them. 10/10 would recommend hiring Jordan!

Hugo & Co Weddings
Rating: 5.0 (5 reviews)
Los Angeles, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,800

Capturing weddings with a documentary heart and an editorial touch, focusing on real moments as they naturally unfold. My approach is rooted in genuine connection because I believe the strongest images come from trust and authenticity. I take the time to get to know you so your photos and films feel like you—honest, effortless, and true to your story. On a day filled with emotion, celebration, and unforgettable moments, I’m there to make it feel easy, comfortable, and beautifully captured.

Awarded Best of Zola
I wish there were an option to give Hugo & Kat 1,000 stars! Truly, Hugo and Parker (Hugo's second shooter) saved our wedding. For context, 4 days before our wedding, our original photographer canceled on us due to her uncle's death with no notice. We totally understood but knew we needed to find someone we trusted right away. I remember I had reached out to Hugo & Kat before I had hired our original photographer (and loved them) but had chosen to go with the other photographer (mostly based on a number of Instagram followers), which, in hindsight, was a mistake. 4 days before our wedding I called Hugo, and he was fortunately available and we got booked right away. Not only was his pricing way more affordable, but he also included a second shooter! The LA fires hit (my family lives in LA) our wedding week was wild, to say the least, but we got down to San Diego for the big day. I had never met Hugo & Parker (Kat was very ill) and didn't know what to expect. As someone who doesn't love having their photo taken, I was a little nervous, but Hugo & Parker put me, my husband, and our guests right at ease. They were so fun, interactive, professional, and efficient, and they really brought the energy! They felt like a part of the family, totally integrated into the day, capturing every tiny moment. It was seamless, easy, and so fun to work with them. We had a perfect wedding day, so much of that is owed to Hugo & Paker. When I got the sneak peeks back (24 hours after the wedding!!!) I SOBBED! I had never seen such beautiful photos. I felt so pretty, and we looked so happy. These were truly the pictures of my bridal Pinterest dreams! I'm not someone who usually leaves reviews, but I knew I needed to let all SO CAL brides know that Hugo & Kat are the BEST wedding photographers out there. I don't have a single critique. I'm just so immensely grateful for their willing hearts and positive energy and the photos that I will cherish forever. You best bet that the second I'm pregnant I will be flying back to LA to schedule a maternity shoot, haha! Book Hugo & Kat, I promise you, you will be so grateful you did!

Chozen Adventures Photography
Rating: 5.0 (5 reviews)
Los Angeles, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,500

I’m Eddy, a Los Angeles wedding photographer who believes the best photos happen when people feel relaxed and are genuinely enjoying their day. I capture weddings as they really feel — the laughs, happy tears, and all the in-between moments — while helping couples feel comfortable in front of the camera. I also tend to become everyone’s compadre pretty quickly, helping guests loosen up so natural, joyful moments can be captured throughout the celebration.

I recommend Chozen to everyone. He’s has produced some of my favorite photoshoots and photos of myself. He is kind, considerate and precessional. I know that I can recommend him and he’s going to deliver not only amazing photos but that everyone involved will be comfortable and excited and that’s something that means a lot to me. I am so thankful our paths crossed and am excited to have many more photoshoots together in the future. Chozen is the best :’)

Kenzie Kate Photography
Rating: 5.0 (5 reviews)
Los Angeles, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $6,500

I'm admittedly wary when it comes to the Wedding Industry and all of it's bells/whistles/expectations, and at the same time, I believe wholeheartedly in the power of community, love, commitment, and collective joy. I think that weddings-- in all of their forms and reclamations-- ultimately serve a great purpose in reminding us of these gifts. I come from a long line of meticulous documenters and hold a degree in Sociology, all of which informs the way I approach photography. I am curious about people, am in awe of the display of emotion, and am passionate about the ways in which we construct family and community.

My husband and I worked with Kenzie for our engagement session in the summer of 2021 and our wedding in the spring of 2022. As you can tell from the timeline both sessions were at the peak of the Pandemic. This season was filled with excitement but also stress as we balanced our family's health, our deepest desires for the wedding, and the weight of the global pandemic. Kenzie gave us the peace that we so desperately needed. All in all, she was our favorite wedding vendor. After our initial onboarding Zoom call, my husband and I turned to each other and screamed did we just make a new best friend?! She is not only professional but personal. She has a great artistic vision but also respected the direction we gave. Kenzie takes a photojournalistic approach to her work and because of that, we feel like these moments are enshrined in history! My favorite Kenzie touch was the pre-wedding survey she provided us that helped her understand what emotions we had going into "the most important day of our lives". She prompted us with questions about the relationship dynamics between our family and friends, and the quirky details of our love, and our answers allowed her to capture more than just a single snapshot in time. Kenzie's photos capture FEELINGS. Thank you thank you thank you and we cannot wait to work with you for our next life event!!

Nate and his team were our favorite vendor we worked with. They have the most calming presence and prevent anything from stressing you out. They are incredibly go with the flow and never push you to do anything you don’t want to. They have great suggestions as well. The photos are so special and genuine. We opted for very few staged photos and yet they were able to capture so many intimate moments that are so much more representative of the weekend. 10/10!!! Would book them over and over again. Fitz Carlile Photography
Rating: 5.0 (3 reviews)
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,000
  • Serves Los Angeles, CA

The kind of work I do within the wedding photography genre is very distinct - every image stands on its own as a thoughtful composition as if from a cinematic art house film or high-end commercial/editorial shoot. My color grading is immediately identifiable and unique - developed through years of studying color theory - uncommon today in a sea of 'presets' that other photographers purchase on the internet for they have no knowledge of how to build their own. My compositions are often quirky, surprising, different. I always attempt to show a point of view that's uncommon and fascinating to the viewer.

Awarded Best of Zola
Fitz Carlile is a master of light, and can make virtually any setting look like the most romantic place in the world. He immediately puts you at ease. We had to scrap our original wedding plans due to COVID-19, but Fitz remained a willing and enthusiastic participant through it all. Our recommendation to couples trying to plan weddings in this crazy time we've all found ourselves in? Go small. Don't cancel. And your photographer should be your number 1 priority. Photographs are the only concrete thing you'll own to remember your special day, and you will not be disappointed with Fitz. He's a true storyteller and his photos are magic.

Tida Svy Photography
Rating: 5.0 (3 reviews)
Los Angeles, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,000

Ayyy it’s ya girl Tida (like pita)! I’m not just another photographer – I’m your hype girl, your ally, your eyes and your ears on your wedding day. I’ll be there freaking out shouting “YASSS OMG HOT FIRE ALERT” hyping you up during portraits because holy-shit you look amazing AF! I’ll be dancing circles around your guests while I shove my camera in their faces, fixing your hair when the wind gets too cray, and confidently (and loudly) directing your family portrait time. I’m a tiny ball of giant energy and gurl, it shows on your wedding day – TRUST.

From the moment we met Tida, we felt her energy was going to be a great compliment to our Wedding day. She was very easy to work with and really went above and beyond for us on several occasions. We battled crazy PNW weather and her flexibility allowed us to get fall engagement photos we were thrilled with. She crossed mountain passes during the snow storm of the year and arrived a day early to ensure she wouldn't miss a moment on our Wedding day. The result...gorgeous wedding photos we got thanks to her handy work and a foot of fresh snow!! Since then she's taken the time to do holiday mini-sessions with us that included our fabulous new fur-baby for our family Christmas cards. She stopped at nothing to get his attention! It's been great having someone we trust that feels more like a friend to help us document our journey. We look forward to her capturing many more moments to come!

Jonathan Moore Photography
Rating: 5.0 (3 reviews)
Los Angeles, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,000

My name is Jonathan Moore. I am a Los Angeles based wedding photographer and available worldwide. I'll get right to it: The very last thing I want is for you to think of your experience with me as a "photoshoot." I think that posed "prom" photos are totally lame and reflect absolutely nothing unique about you or your partner. After all, you are not actors pretending to be "in love," so why should your images reflect that? At the core, your images should ultimately remind you of why you fell in love in the first place. This is what we're celebrating!

Awarded Best of Zola
Working with Jonathan was awesome! Communication was easy and we met with him and did a tour of the venue to align on exactly what we wanted. He was super helpful on the day but didn’t get in the way at all! The photos were absolutely amazing, we seriously couldn’t be happier with the output. He really captured who we are and how we feel About each other without any awkward posing which I personally hate lol. Thanks so much!!!

Thank you so much to Ashley and the team at Sorelina LA for making our vow renewal ceremony so special. We originally eloped in Long Beach in 2021, and now that we've welcomed a baby into the mix, we thought it was time to renew those promises. Jeremiah was a gracious and lovely officiant, and Kaitlin's photos are genuinely breathtaking. The day couldn't have been better. Thank you to all of you for making our time and commitment so special.

Muses By Macy

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,000

My name is Macy, a nomadic creative. I’ve been a photographer for over 10 years now, and vividly remember getting my first job at 15 (at Sonic of all places, IYKYK) to save up for my first camera - and I’m so thankful I did! I have a deep passion for capturing moments, treating the world & people within it as the greatest muses of all. I am a photographer, sure, but more than that, I’m a storyteller. I consume myself with the intimacy of a single moment, and love that an accumulation of them got you here. Call it a documentary style approach, or some other category to fit into - your story is its own, and I want to be a part of telling it.

Muses By Macy was the most amazing and perfect photographer for our wedding day. From our very first interaction, she communicated effortlessly, warmly, and reassuringly - she immediately put us at ease. The quality of her work was truly incredible, with a polished and stunning aesthetic that felt both timeless and editorial. They captured our special day with such care, making everything feel so effortless and ensuring we felt absolutely beautiful. The energy and vision she brought to our wedding pictures was exactly what we were going for - a cool, vintage style that we just loved. We are so happy with the incredible photos that will help us relive and remember that special day with our friends and family. Macy is the best! We cannot recommend her enough!!!

Daniel's Wedding Photography & Video
Rating: 5.0 (2 reviews)
Los Angeles, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,000

I’m Daniel, a wedding photographer with 10+ years of experience capturing stories as they naturally unfold. My work blends a documentary approach with a refined, artistic eye, focused on real moments, honest emotion, and the in-between details that make your day uniquely yours. I believe the most meaningful memories aren’t staged, they’re felt. My goal is to create images that feel timeless, natural, and true to who you are.

We couldn’t be happier with our wedding video. From start to finish, Daniel absolutely nailed it. Our highlight film blew past our expectations and truly felt like us. Every moment, every emotion, every detail was captured in a way that felt authentic and intentional. He didn’t just document the day. He told our story. Getting married in East LA meant a lot to us, and he represented it beautifully. We’re beyond grateful to have these memories forever and couldn’t recommend him more

I'm a photographer specializing in engagements, weddings, and boudoir. My style is colorful, bold, fun, and genuine. I'm great at capturing emotion in my photos, but my true super power is making everyone feel natural and at ease in front of the camera. Photographing people is my passion, so I work endlessly to create a positive, inclusive, effortless experience for my clients.

Jade Elora Photography was an absolute delight to work with for our wedding. From the very first conversation, Jade was easy to talk to, making us feel comfortable and at ease. Sienna Plus Josh

Los Angeles, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,800

We are Sienna plus Josh, adventure elopement photographers [who also eloped!] in 2011 and we have been shooting weddings and adventuring ever since. We are here to help you navigate the path of forging your OWN path. Going the adventure elopement route is intimate, authentic, and empowering...with a day that is truly reflective of your relationship and defines the two of you! One of the best things about eloping is that you get to throw away the rule book and write your own. Whether that is spending your wedding day on a mountaintop in Oregon, among the waterfalls in Iceland, or the warm desert of California.

I have been lucky to style a few elopements Sienna Plus Josh have photographed. They are so kind and professional, always putting their nervous clients at ease- in the end creating an incredible gallery. Their work speaks for itself, but as someone who has met them personally they are a joy to hang out with as well.

Elyana Photography
Rating: 5.0 (2 reviews)
Los Angeles, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,600

I believe the best photos occur when... artistry and intentionality meet moments of heartfelt connection. I'll guide you towards the dreamiest light and offer unobtrusive direction that lends to natural movements and sincere emotion. I also slow things down and help re-center everyone, creating space for beautiful moments to unfold, like mom fluffing your veil, dad's expression when he sees you all dressed up, and fleeting looks between you and your partner.

I cannot recommend Elyana enough! I wanted dreamy photos that were candid-esque so I got really excited when I came across her website. I honestly had no idea what to expect when working with a professional photographer but her service was exceptional. She's super friendly, easy-going, efficient, and communicative. Everything went unbelievably smoothly. We had Elyana for 2 hours during our elopement and she made it so fun and easy to be in front of a camera. She provided a lot of much-needed direction and our session went by so quickly and smoothly. She even helped grab my veil when I forgot it in my suite! I'm not photogenic so I was nervous about looking like a total derp after many wonderful vendors had put so much work into my hair, makeup, dress, and florals... But her artistic sense and prompting really made for some amazing pictures. She works fast! Sneak peeks and full gallery were received well before their promise dates. Granted, it probably helped that we only had a 2 hour elopement session, but the speedy turnaround time is super appreciated nonetheless. The one struggle I have from working with her is trying to pick which beautiful images will be displayed in our home. Thank you so much for these photos that we will cherish forever!
