Let me start by saying that the Secret Garden and the Epic Coordination team made all of my wedding dreams come true! I recently got married at the Secret Garden on April 28th, 2024. It truly was the most magical day of my life not just because I was marrying my soulmate, but because of the amazing coordination team that made our vision come to life. It was the first venue that my husband and I looked at, and we immediately fell in love with it. We loved that it was a beautiful indoor and outdoor garden venue, but we also loved how they offered an all-inclusive wedding package. They have a list of recommended vendors, including DJ, caterer, florist, photography/videography, and so much more. They give you the option to choose a vendor that they don't have on their recommended list, but we did everything through them and I wouldn't have had it any other way. They really offer the best-of-the-best professionals that know exactly what they're doing. A special shoutout to our coordinator, Laura, for being so organized and making sure everything was perfect on our big day! When it came to the day of the wedding, the entire timeline flowed seamlessly. None of the guests were left waiting around or wondering what was going on because the coordination team was so on top of everything! Everyone at our wedding, including myself and my husband, had an amazing time. Another thing to mention was that the communication with the Secret Garden and their team was beyond excellent! Any question I had, they answered promptly and made sure that the planning process was seamless. I had an enjoyable experience planning our wedding thanks to the support from the Secret Garden and Epic team! To conclude, my wedding day at the Secret Garden was literally the happiest day of our lives! It couldn't have been more perfect. If you're envisioning a fairytale garden wedding like I was, choose this venue!

I would get married here every day! We don't live too far away so we love driving by and reminiscing about the best day of our lives. They were very communicative and super easy to plan with. Considering this is in La Jolla, the price was also very affordable and they had a great list of vendors that they recommend. I wouldn't have changed a thing about our wedding day and very happy with the venue. We had the ceremony in the garden area, cocktail hour outside on the patio, and the reception indoors. It was early April so we were happy to have both options inside or outside, with last minute changes if necessary, as we weren't sure if it was going to be raining.

I am a wedding planner and The Japanese Friendship Garden is one of my favorite venues. Everywhere you look there is beauty. They have gorgeous flowers and trees, coy ponds, waterfalls, and bridges. There is an incredible amount of natural beauty even in the winter. My couples love this as it makes for magical photos. Their events coordinator, Marina is wonderful! She is incredibly organized, responsive, and knowledgeable about the venue. Her warm and professional presence puts my couples at ease and her exceptional organization keeps things running smoothly. I can tell she genuinely cares about the couples and their guests. The rest of the team at the garden is also great to work with. I highly recommend JFG&M to anyone looking to get married. We loved having our wedding reception at the museum! It was a unique venue, bright, and spacious. It’s an experience we (and our guests) still talk about almost 6 years later. It was a stress free wedding as Jenny (venue coordinator) was so easy to work with and very helpful in coordinating with all of our vendors and day of wedding coordinator. The museum has an approved list of vendors, and made suggestions that made the night even more special (like keeping the dinosaur skeleton out during the reception!) The cocktail hour was held on the second level, and the guests were able to walk through the exhibits. The reception was on the first level which was spacious.
