Noire Studios
Rating: 5.0 (6 reviews)
  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $2,675
  • Serves Kansas City, MO

Welcome! I am a Kansas City Lifestyle, Portrait, and Wedding Photographer. Growing up I always had an eye for anything artistic and loved being able to share my vision of the world. I was first introduced to photography in my senior year of high school and immediately knew that is what I wanted my career to be. I continued the venture through college and graduated from UMKC with a degree in photography. A little about Noire Studios: Where does the name Noire Studios come from? I mixed my first name and last name (maiden) together - NO (from Noelle) and IRE (from Ireland). Creating a business from a few things that capture ME!

Awarded Best of Zola
Picking a wedding photographer to document our day seemed stressful until we came across Noelle. She captured and documented our day so beautifully. She caught so many moments of laughter and happiness that we can relive over and over again when looking through the images. We also received our images very quickly. Thank you for being our amazing photographer Noelle!

Kendal Banks Photography
Rating: 5.0 (3 reviews)
  • Classic style
  • Starts at $3,000
  • Serves Kansas City, MO

Hi, and congratulations on your engagement! I’m Kendal, a Kansas City wedding and elopement photographer capturing love stories across the Midwest (and beyond!). I work with couples who do things their own way—the cool, the quirky, the beautifully real. Whether you’re planning a backyard wedding, a mountain top elopement, or a full on dance-floor blowout, I’ll blend artful portraits with honest storytelling to capture your day exactly as it feels.

Kendal beautiful captured our vision for engagement and wedding photos. She provided helpful tips for getting everything to run smoothly and captured a lot of special, fleeting moments. She’s great with people (for instance, did a great job putting our flower girls at ease). She planned out all the shots very well, while also improvising some really cool photos as the opportunities arose! We had a somewhat idiosyncratic wedding, and she was so down for it all! We’ll treasure these photos. If you’re looking for someone who is both wonderfully personable and highly professional, look no further. Highly, wholeheartedly recommended!

Caitlyn Cloud Photography
Rating: 5.0 (7 reviews)
Kansas City, MO
  • Photojournalistic style

I grew up in a divided home, literally. Splitting time between my parents after their divorce, often being in the middle of their fighting, made me grow into a very empathetic person. It’s become the biggest strength I take with me into wedding days. My documentary style stems from my ability to sense when special moments are about to happen. I am able to sense emotions that aren’t necessarily visible, sense when to come close and when to be a fly-on-the-wall, and sense what/who is important to you therefore important to photograph.

Awarded Best of Zola
Caitlyn was so easy to work with and so organized. The portal she uses to share bills and information is very easy to use. She was flexible with scheduling and offered great guidance for day of scheduling. She is a great communicator and responds quickly. The day of she made the whole experience effortless honestly! Our photos turned out amazing, we loved the candid and more posed photos. It was great to have a good mix of each! Every wedding day has issues, our venue didn’t put out our chairs and Caitlyn totally rolled with it and took pictures while people waited for chairs to arrive. She’s also just a genuine person and truly cares about the people she’s working with. Would recommend her 100%.

Most couples don't love being photographed. They love each other and they're excited about their wedding, but they're often a little anxious about the camera part. That's exactly who I work with. I'm Morgan, a Kansas City wedding and elopement photographer specializing in intimate weddings, small ceremonies, and destination elopements. I eloped myself, so I get intimacy over spectacle. Making people feel comfortable and like themselves in front of a camera is the whole foundation of how I work.

Working with MorgsBehindTheCamera was an absolute delight from start to finish. Morgs’ friendly and consistent communication made wedding planning so much easier. She went above and beyond to ensure our guests felt included and every moment was beautifully captured. Our photos have a nostalgic, vintage feel that perfectly reflects the day. Morgs was professional yet so personable, and we couldn’t be happier!

Deanna Johnson Photography
Rating: 5.0 (3 reviews)
Kansas City, MO
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $7,000

Taking the photo is only a fraction of my job. I’m the cheerleader, usher, keeper of the timeline, and stealth ninja anticipating what’s coming next. After 10 years and more than 200 weddings, I’ve learned a trick or two about how to navigate the unique challenges of a wedding day. I’ve learned that planning for the inevitable means getting to enjoy the unexpected. I’ve learned when to take center stage and be the conductor to ensure that your must-have shots are checked off that list. But, I’ve also learned when to be still and wait for the relationships surrounding you to show their beautiful touches of joy that long to be captured.

Deanna did a phenomenal job photographing our wedding at Melrose Abbey in October 2025. Photos were very important to us and every time we look back through them, we get to relive the day and the beautiful moments. The engagement photo session was a great time to learn what angles and poses we liked about each other, gave feedback to Deanna of what we liked, and the results from the wedding allowed us to have too many good photos to choose from. I also opted to participate in a bridal portrait session which is very common in the South (I'm from Texas). I had so much fun with Deanna at the bridal portrait session taking all the photos I wanted in my dress ahead of the big day. I was able to coordinate trial hair and make-up, mock-up bouquet, and trial run dress and accessories. The bridal portraits enabled me to relax and enjoy all the bridal party and family portraits on actual wedding day. Deanna has such a beautiful vision for photography with both her regular camera and film, she has such a positive attitude and does a great job of coaching but allowing your personality to shine through. We also opted for a 2nd photographer to capture all the moments and Deanna did a great job selecting Chris who took some amazing photos and was fun to work with too. Deanna helped us plan out the wedding day schedule and shared some of her favorite outside photo spots to take the bridal party. She was super responsive and was even scoping out the spots as the day came closer to let us know that the photo spot we had selected was partitioned off for a concert and we were able to pick a new spot about a week ahead of the wedding. She did a great job communicating with our other vendors and we were incredibly thrilled with all keepsake photos we will treasure for the rest of our lives. Thank you for so beautifully capturing Nick and I on our very special day! We would highly recommend Deanna for any photo occasion!

Hi, I’m Erin and I love telling stories. I'm Midwest based, Kansas City to be specific, but I'm a Michigan girl at heart and love to travel! My favorite way to share the world through my eyes is from behind a camera lens. Your story is beautiful, and worth sharing.

Erin was wonderful from the first chat we had with her. She made everything from our engagement session to check ins before the big day, to all aspects of wedding photography have such ease. We feel so fortunate to have found her, especially as a queer couple and the industry being filled with "bride and groom" talk, she didn't skip a beat at making us both feel special as the brides.

My name is Jillian and I'm a photographer and artist in Kansas City My goal is to capture you. Every couple, family, person is different, and I want to make sure your uniqueness comes through in the images of your special days. My style tends to lean into rich colors and textures. Are you a couple that doesn't want to have a typical wedding? I'm a photographer that doesn't want to give you typical images! I always tear up at hand written vows. I love my partner and my two dogs Moonshine and Chosen One, and my cat Bucket.

Jillian at Youngbird Photo (j.guthrie_photo on Instagram) is such a true joy and delight to work with. Not only did she come to photograph our small May ceremony, but she photographed a first look photo session with us after we canceled the reception!! My dress was in covid lockup in May, so I wasn't able to wear it at the original ceremony. Jillian made sure that we had pictures of the dress, and captured a first look moment for us, and that will forever mean the world to me. She even came over to photograph the centerpieces that we had worked so hard on!! She makes people feel so comfortable and has such an amazing eye for what will make a beautiful shot. She is immensely talented and an absolutely delightful person. And bonus, she works with any budget. She truly believes that every couple deserves beautiful photos, and will work with you, whatever your situation is. Case in point, she's done our engagement photos, our small ceremony photos, and now our first look photos, and in every instance, she went above and beyond for us. I will recommend her forever, and still cannot completely put into words how much she and her photos mean to us!

There is nothing I love more than capturing special moments between loved ones - whether it be bride and groom or parents and their children. I'm best at the in-between moments that you weren't expecting. The picture catches you off guard and makes you say "wow, I didn't know you got that". I'm always looking for real emotions and interactions.

I was a guest at my friend’s wedding where Call It Magic took photos, and they were fantastic! They were super friendly, they blended in, and they managed to capture all the big moments along with the candid ones. The photos are absolutely breathtaking! I’d recommend them to anyone.

Mariah Selena Portraits
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
Kansas City, MO
  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $3,000

Welcome! I'm Mariah! I first picked up a camera during a summer camp when I was only 10 years old. We were given a list of different objects to photograph around the building, and I fell in love with capturing the uniqueness of things as they were. Objects that were easily overlooked suddenly became exciting thanks to a photograph. I quickly began begging my parents for photography equipment and was gifted my first camera that Christmas. Fast forward 16 years, and I am embarking on a new career, doing what I am most passionate about...capturing, creating, and bringing memories - your memories - to life.

Where do we even start? From the planning process to wedding day and post-wedding, Mariah was our absolute best decision when it came to selecting a vendor. Mariah was helpful and communicative during the planning process, especially with our questions about timeline. On wedding day, Mariah was a busy bee capturing behind the scenes photos, photos of our guests, and us. We decided to do a first look off-site and Mariah captured the raw emotion that we both felt in that moment. I don't know how she did it! As for the photos, we provided Mariah with a shot list, but gave her creative freedom and she did not disappoint. We received the sneak peek within 24-48 hours and the full photo gallery within 4-6 weeks. On a personal note, Mariah is an absolute gem of a human. We felt so comfortable and natural with her, which can sometimes be difficult in front of a camera. She is a complete goofball and will keep both you and your party laughing. BOOK HER IMMEDIATELY!

Hey Tay
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
Kansas City, MO
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,500

When I was looking for my own wedding vendors, it was important to me that I find people with similar world views that fit into my budget and were behind how laid back my vision for my wedding was. I am here to advocate for you. What that really looks like is you telling me you want something and me saying "treat yo self". I want to help you capture memories of your day the exact way you want it to share with your family, your friends, & yourself for years and years to come. So, if you're down to hop on that dance floor with me and feel how effortless it is to be 100% yourself in front of the camera, hit me up. I'm excited to meet you.

For our photography we used Hey Tay Photography. I have struggled with writing these vendor reviews because I cannot even begin to describe just how incredible my experience with Tay has been. I knew from the jump that I wanted Tay to do our photos for the wedding. For starters I have been in front of Tay’s camera multiple times and am continuously in amazement with the work that she produces, the way she makes you feel, and the energy that she brings every single time. She did our engagement session out in downtown Kansas City and watching her creative wheels turn as she found the perfect places and perfect views was so much fun! She then came and did our wedding. Her eye for details is unmatched and it shows in her stunning work. We received our sneak peaks within days of the wedding, and received our entire album less than two months after the wedding. Tay is phenomenal and her work is even better! She is incredibly professional and organized and rides hard for her clients. At one point something was bothering me on our wedding day and I mentioned it and the first thing she said was, “do you want me to take care of it”. She is enthusiastic, sincere, encouraging, and arguably one of the best wedding photographers in Kansas City. I truly could sing her praises all day, but will spare you. HIRE HER!
