We’re Josh + Terri, a husband and wife photography team based in Kansas City. For more than 15 years we’ve been capturing weddings and love stories filled with light, emotion, and unforgettable moments. Married for 14 of those years ourselves, we know how meaningful it is to have photographs that truly reflect your story. What began with our own wedding has grown into a passion for creating timeless imagery with warmth and connection.

Our approach is calm, intuitive, and unobtrusive. We believe your wedding day should feel effortless and full of presence. We’ll guide when needed, but never get in the way. Couples often describe our work as storybook imagery, detailed and layered with emotion that feels both timeless and true.     Everything you want in a photographer!

    We have been with Husband and Wife Photography since 2015- and in that time done a total of 10 photo shoots. They have gone above and beyond each time and made my family and I feel so beautiful and capture a memory unlike anyone can. They’re very personable and have great communication, feedback, options, and are seriously so creative. We have trusted them with some of our most important moments- from wedding pictures to our son’s milestones. Best photographer ever!

    Couldn’t be bettee

    Our experience with Terri and Josh taking our wedding pictures could not have been better. They took pictures almost in secret. The group pictures were pleasant, quick, and creative. They even got the kids just right. Not that we are planning too but if we did it again we would do it with Terri and Josh.

    We couldn’t be more pleased with Husband & Wife photography! Josh and Terri were amazing to work with during our engagement shoot and on the day of the wedding. They did an amazing job capturing the little details that made our day so special, as well as taking beautiful photographs with incredible backgrounds that truly are works of art. Our pictures turned out wonderfully and have been cherished reminders of the day we started our life together. In the past 5 years, we have continued to use H&W to take pictures of our growing family every year- they did a fantastic job capturing the first years of both of our children and we love our annual family sessions with H& W!

    The Best Ever

    Josh and Terri are AMAZING! They were professional, but also very personable. They have been our go-to photographers for 5 years now! They photographed our wedding and our growing family over the years. Quality is superb, and communication is easy. I recommend them over and over again!

Typically, couples book us 12–15 months in advance, especially for spring and fall dates. We only take a limited number of weddings each year to ensure every couple receives a personalized experience, so early inquiries are encouraged. If your wedding is sooner, feel free to reach out — we’re happy to check availability.
Husband + Wife Photography is led by us — Josh and Terri Colburn. All of our wedding collections include one of us as your lead photographer. If you’d like to add a second photographer, it will be the other half of our duo — ensuring full coverage by someone you trust and a seamless, consistent style.
Absolutely. Every image in your Wedding Collection is carefully edited in our signature style and delivered in high resolution. You'll receive a print release and an online gallery for easy viewing, downloading, and sharing.
You’ll receive a sneak peek within one week of your wedding, featuring highlights from the best parts of your day. The full gallery follows within 4–8 weeks. We typically deliver 60–80 fully edited images per hour of coverage, all carefully curated and edited in our signature style.
Yes, We are fully insured. If your venue requires a certificate of liability, just let me know and I’ll send it directly to their coordinator or events team.
In over 15 years of photographing weddings, We've never missed a booking. In the extremely rare event that we are unable to be there, you’ll be covered by a trusted colleague or one of our contracted professionals — ensuring your day is documented with the same care, quality, and style we’re known for.
