About MorgsBehindTheCamera

MorgsBehindTheCamera

Most couples don't love being photographed, and that's okay. They love each other and they're excited about their wedding, but they're usually a little anxious about the camera part. That's where I come in! I'm Morgan, a Kansas City wedding and elopement photographer specializing in intimate weddings and elopements. I eloped myself, so I understand intimacy over spectacle. Making people feel comfortable and like themselves in front of a camera is the whole foundation of how I work.

On your wedding day I won't be stopping you every five minutes for a pose. During portraits I'll provide guidance then the rest of the day I take a laid back approach on purpose. The less you're thinking about me, the more present you are. And when you're present and enjoying your day, that's when the real stuff happens. The belly laugh during the first look, the happy tears welling up on your loved ones face, that's what I'm after! Based in Kansas City and available to travel anywhere your day takes you.

    The BEST wedding photographer ever

We hired MorgsBehindTheCamera for our intimate wedding in Kansas City and everything was perfect. It was just us, immediate family, and a few of our closest friends so we wanted something that felt personal and laidback. From our very first conversation, Morgan understood exactly what we were going for. She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera, which I was honestly terrified about. By the end of the night it felt like we were just hanging out with a friend who happened to be taking pictures. The photos she delivered were romantic, emotional, and genuinely felt like us. If you're planning an intimate wedding, elopement, or small ceremony in the Kansas City area and want a photographer who actually listens then MorgsBehindTheCamera is exactly who you want. We're obsessed and would choose her again in a heartbeat!

Made me not hate getting my picture taken

Morgs and Sam were amazing. They had such great energy and felt like part of the family, making the photo process more fun than awkward. The quality of their work is top-notch and we're thrilled with how the photos turned out. We couldn't recommend MorgsBehindTheCamera more highly for any couple looking for wedding photographers who will make you feel comfortable in your own skin!

    Professional, Personable, and Truly Talented

Working with MorgsBehindTheCamera was an absolute delight from start to finish. Morgs’ friendly and consistent communication made wedding planning so much easier. She went above and beyond to ensure our guests felt included and every moment was beautifully captured. Our photos have a nostalgic, vintage feel that perfectly reflects the day. Morgs was professional yet so personable, and we couldn’t be happier!

I don't limit the number of photos I share, you'll get all the goodies! You can expect about 50 to 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.
Of course! All digital images will be edited for consistency and style. Film photos may be slightly edited if necessary.
Typically, you’ll receive sneak peek within a week and then your full online about 4-6 weeks after your wedding. We will discuss exact timelines and they will be outlined in your contract.
I’ll always say the sooner, the better! For elopements and micro weddings, most clients book me one to three months in advance since these are usually planned a little quicker. For full wedding celebrations, my clients typically book 12 to 18 months ahead.
Yes! Some I offer a second photographer for expanded coverage, and for more intimate days I shoot solo. We'll discuss the best fit for your day!
