Facilities and Capacity BLC is a conveniently located venue and sits just two and a half hours from New York City and Boston. In addition, it is centrally situated in the Berkshire Region. BridleWood is a Farm Venue, set in the midst of a working horse farm, in the beautiful rolling hills of Columbia County! Our newly renovated event barn, lit by wrought iron chandeliers and candle sconces, surrounded by horses in green pastures, creates a rustic-elegant oasis for a truly memorable celebration. Three large carriage doors allow for a covered yet sunlit space, where guests may mingle for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, or accommodate a formal sit down meal for up to 100. Stissing House is one of the oldest taverns in America, located at the crossroads of the village of Pine Plains in the heart of Dutchess County. Upstairs, the oldest Dutch Colonial ballroom in America is designed for long-table dinners and weddings of 25-150 people. Gather your friends and family for pitchers of shandy and wood fired eggs the day before or morning after your party. Chef/Proprietor Clare de Boer cooks food that is generous and has a sense of place. Ingredients come from surrounding farms and are prepared simply on the tavern’s mammoth hearth. The eggs are laid today, the butter is homemade, and the food is for feasting.

Elmartin Farm derives its name from the initials and last name of Everett Lawrence Martin, Sr, father to Everett Lawrence Martin Jr., known as "Gus," who with his wife, Dodi are the current owners of the farm. Presently, sons, Kim and Shawn, operate and manage the farm. They are the 8th generation of ancestral Martins who began farming in Cheshire, MA in 1790. By the late 1950s, Elmartin Farm had become a major dairy farm in the Northern Berkshire County. Its herd grew to 80 milkers and 80 head of youngstock. Together, the herd filled the new barn which had been completed in 1952. The barn, with the addition of a milking parlor, remains the focal point of Elmartin Farm.
