“We worked with Paul for our January wedding. Originally, I was going to just create a playlist (I was having little to no formalities) until I saw he commented on a Connecticut Bride Facebook Group. Figured a DJ will give me one less thing to worry about, so I inquired and he immediately responded, provided a quick quote, and we set up our first meeting. He just made everything so easy! We had two one-hour long meetings to clearly identify our vision. My father passed a few years ago and we did many things to honor him at the party- signature cocktail, my sister spoke about him in her speech, his two best friends gave a combined toast on his behalf, but what made me really feel my dad was celebrated and “there in spirit” was when Paul intentionally played my dad’s favorite song prior to the first speech. It almost felt like that was my dad’s speech/toast to us. Family and friends picked up on Paul’s placement of my dad’s favorite song and commented that they were moved by it too. It was the only point of the night I got emotional. Paul really cares about his work and the people he works with. I’ve been to a handful of weddings where DJs play the couple’s Do Not playlist and just treats every wedding the same. I seriously can’t recommend Paul more.”

“Kate and her fellow musician were wonderful from start to finish. She was communicative, easy to work with, and provided us with a beautiful cello/violin duo for our wedding ceremony. The selection of music was extensive, and she even allowed us to pick a song of our choice, which she arranged and played for our special day. She was in touch with our officiant, photographer, and wedding coordinator ahead of time, so we didn't have to worry about logistics, and she was on-time and just completely lovely the day-of. “Alex and his team are THE best. I found him and recommended him to my brother and sister in law who were also getting married, so we had him at all three of our weddings in NYC, in PA, and ours is CT. He was super communicative throughout the entire planning process and made each wedding their own. He felt like family lol. The app that they provided to create our own playlists and download our own songs was so easy to navigate and so nice to know we would have a good control of what kind of music would be playing. He was amazing as the mc as we are a bilingual family and he translated everything, everyone had such a good time and the vibes were always high. We loved the photobooth and even though for our day the printer wasn't working he made a way to print them all out with extras and send them over to us. “The photographer, videographer, and photo booth was absolutely perfect and our guests had a blast! However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”

“First of all, they were the first vendors we booked and can see why they come so highly recommended!!Jeremy was excellent in coordinating all things leading up to the wedding including the wedding day timeline, and he set us up with the absolute best group of people for our wedding day. The day of we had Nick as our DJ and Mike as our MC, they checked in with us a few days before to see if we had any questions or concerns and were so attentive throughout our entire wedding. They brought so much heart, energy, and fun to our day and I seriously can’t imagine having our wedding without them. People are still talking about the amazing music selection, the dancing, the crowd surfing, and the fact that they were the best DJs they’ve ever seen at a wedding. At one point, the smoke detectors went off due to someone smoking in the bathroom, causing the entire wedding to evacuate outside. As you could imagine this situation would normally be stressful, or cause low morale when entering back in after 15-20 mins of being outside waiting for the fire department, but I can’t emphasize enough how Mike and Nick absolutely KILLED it and immediately brought back the energy and dancing as if nothing happened. They played “we didn’t start the fire” and I swear I’m still smiling about how iconic that was. I can’t recommend this group enough, ESPECIALLY Mike and Nick. Thank you for making our night absolutely epic and unforgettable!”
