    AMAZING Experience!

    From our first conversation with Downtown 6 Band, we knew we'd made the right choice. They stayed in constant touch leading up to the wedding and were always clear about what we needed from them on the day of. During the reception, they nailed the timing and flow of everything, making sure each moment hit just right. Our guests wouldn't stop talking about how fun they were to dance to, and the band definitely picked up some new fans that night. Downtown 6 brought real professionalism and energy to our celebration, and we can't recommend them enough.

    This band rocks

    Downtown 6 played at our June 2026 backyard wedding, and they brought the house down! Everyone loved their set and the vibes, especially my new husband and I. Very nice people, super easy to work and communicate with. I would highly recommend this band for your wedding if you have good taste in music :) PS, they’re actually affordable!

    Amazing wedding band

    If you're looking for a fun, upbeat, and energetic band to play your event I highly recommend Downtown 6! We had DT6 perform for our wedding in June. I had already known that they were a great act and drew a crowd from the handful of times I had seen them previously. While they were playing you couldn't drag people away from the dance floor if you tried. Rachel was very easy to deal with. From the selection of songs ( there were MANY) to last minute changes during the wedding. They even played an encore for our guests! This is a group who truly loves what they do and have amazing chemistry. I'd also like to thank their sound guy who did an incredible job of adjusting the levels to fit our outdoor setting.

    The Life of the Dancefloor!

    Downtown 6 Band absolutely brought the party to our wedding! From the pacing to the playlists, to the communication, everything was amazing! Our guests were left calling it "one of the best weddings they've been to", in large part due to the band! Would 100% book them again!

    Phenomenal Wedding Band

    The Downtown 6 Band was absolutely fantastic at our wedding. From the very first interaction, they were professional, knowledgeable, and flexible in accommodating our needs. They were prompt in all their communications and really went above and beyond to make our special day perfect. The band was clearly very experienced, and their performance was incredibly tight and layered, keeping our dance floor packed all night long. They even learned 3 new songs for us, including our unique wedding song, which they performed flawlessly. Our guests were still raving about how amazing the band was weeks after the wedding. We could not have asked for a better musical act to celebrate our marriage - they truly helped make it a night to remember!

Yes! We typically discuss your special songs at our first meeting with you. Songs to think about are your first dance, father/daughter dance, mother/son dance, etc.
We find that today’s weddings are a bit laid back. The men typically wear suits and the ladies wear dresses for semi-formal events. However, if your event is formal the men can wear tuxedos. Backyard event? No problem. It’s really up to you and the vibe that you want to create for your guests.

We need about 1-1/2 to 2 hours to set up our equipment.
We are a dance band that performs a variety of music from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, through present day. Everything from Aretha Franklin to Dua Lipa and more!
No additional travel fee up to 50 miles one way from Middletown, CT. Greater than that we will estimate on a case by case basis.
We work the venues to provide adequate insurance based on their requirements.
