“Hiring DJ Benni as our wedding DJ was the best decision we made for our wedding! Benni was a game-changer for our special day! From the first consultation to monthly check-in’s, it was clear we were in expert hands. We shared our vision and DJ Benni shared his thoughts based on the weddings he has DJ for, and he saved us on making some big mistakes as we are new to this. His professionalism and attention to detail were impeccable. Benni let us customize as much or as little as we wanted and would constantly encourage us to do what we want and not cave to “wedding norms”. We ended up having a classical version of Lord of the Rings as the processional and Top Gun Theme song as the recessional, our dog was our flower girl, and DJ Benni rocked every step of the way! We had a tool to help us build out the timeline/flow of our wedding from start to finish. This allowed our DJ to know exactly what to do, and when. And in the case of an emergency if our DJ couldn’t make it, a sub could step in and execute. Which allowed me (bride) and the groom to enjoy the evening and not think about logistics. DJ Benni was also very flexible and easily adjusted on the fly for a few things too. The dance floor was always full, and DJ Benni played banger after banger! He asked us to create and share a playlist with songs we wanted played, the more the merrier, and to note our top ten “must play” songs. From there, he was able to understand the vibe we wanted, and he found songs that we didn’t think of that were major hits! My shy 10-year-old cousin was dancing and having the time of his life, and DJ Benni gave him his contact info and told him to call if he ever wanted to DJ. My cousin was over the moon and had the time of his life. DJ Benni also skillfully read the room, adjusting the music to keep the energy high throughout the night. The sound quality was top-notch, and the equipment setup was sleek and unobtrusive. They also provided excellent MC services, making smooth transitions between ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, speeches, and dancing. His enthusiasm and charisma added an extra layer of excitement, making our wedding reception unforgettable. We received numerous compliments from our guests about the fantastic music and vibrant atmosphere. If you want a memorable wedding celebration, hiring DJ Benni is a must!”

Chad handled it like a champ and created a playlist that checked our boxes and got everyone on the dance floor! When working with Chad, it's apparent that he had an enormous knowledge of music and DJing, as well as the intricacies of events and hosting. He had so many great suggestions and understood what we wanted and more! He even incorporated our weird sense of humor into our playlist. For example, we mentioned in our wedding vows a joke about rickrolling, and he added Never Gonna Give You Up to our playlist! It was amazing! At the last minute, we found out that our venue would be less involved in the day of coordination than we had previously thought. We had recruited some cousins to help, but when we told Chad and his wife/superstar partner in crime, Gretchen, about it, Gretchen stepped up to the plate without missing a beat. She coordinated our processional and the entrance to our reception. It was amazing! It meant so much to us that Chad and Gretchen would go above and beyond to ensure our wedding was perfect. 11/10, we would hire them again. We have nothing but the best things to say about Chad and Gretchen. We know they'll do everything possible to make your event extraordinary and customized to your taste.”

My husband is Dominican and I am from New England, and therefore we were looking for a bilingual band that could play a very wide range of music - from American wedding classics, to Pop, to Reggaeton, to Merengue, to Bachata — and a group that could MC the evening in Spanish and English, and bring the energy to keep the party going. We went with Hook Club’s 7 piece DJ Band, and they were above and beyond fantastic. They curated a setlist that somehow, despite the wide range of music, flowed together and was cohesive. I can’t express enough how talented they are vocally, instrumentally, professionally, and as performers. The dance floor was absolutely lit; even my brother who was on crutches and had a torn labrum couldn’t stay away. It makes me tear up thinking about how much energy, positivity, and happiness they brought to our night — they will always have a special place in our hearts. They are also true professionals - the planning process was easy, they were prompt in all communication, and on the day of they handled venue-related hiccups with grace. They were the first vendor to arrive to ensure a thorough set up, and the last to leave. They are truly such a special, one of a kind group, and I cannot recommend them enough. Of all the many decisions we made in planning our wedding, choosing THC was by far the best decision of them all. Although our wedding was back in August; our friends and family are still talking about The Hook Club, exlusively referring to them as “ the best wedding band they have ever heard before”.
