“We had the pleasure of working with DJ Wong from MyDeejay. A quick review of MyDeejay: They were excellent to work with. They paired us with DJ Wong after we filled out a quick survey about the vibe we wanted for our wedding, and it was smooth sailing from there. It's clear from working DJ Wong that MyDeejay vets their DJs very well and ensures they're all professional and great to work with. Now for DJ Wong: He's got all of the main things you want in a vendor--professionalism, responsiveness, expertise, etc.), but he goes well above and beyond those standards. He provided ceremony music, background music, reception music, and uplighting, but that's just the starting point of everything he did for us. We were PICKY and we had A LOT of requests, and he accommodated them all flawlessly and eagerly. We requested he alter versions of some of our selected songs to adjust for timing, blending parts of songs together, and very particular transitions between songs. He made everything sound amazing! We had not 1, not 2, but FIVE choreographed dances throughout the evening, and he executed the timing of everything perfectly. The sound was incredible! In addition to that, because we were completely over-the-top for our wedding, DJ Wong so graciously and excitedly fulfilled our request to have KARAOKE at our reception. It was SO MUCH FUN!!! We had a very particular vibe in mind from our wedding--we wanted our ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner to be classy and jazzy, and then for the reception dancing we wanted a mix of Pop anthems from the past 3 decades--DJ Wong understood the assignment perfectly! We were also at a very large venue and he had to provide sound across many different areas throughout the evening, but he came fully prepared and did an excellent job. We received so many compliments about the ambience for the entire evening, and we attribute that to him! On top of everything else, DJ Wong is an excellent MC and can read a room flawlessly. He kept the vibes up the entire evening, and struck the perfect balance of engaging with the audience and letting the music do the work. We are so grateful we had him for our special day!”

Ed has a great DJ website where you can add all the songs you like, as well as which songs you don’t want to hear (which is very important for me). He then creates amazing mixes with the songs and knows how to keep the party going. I was really happy he was able to find our first dance song, which is from the 1940s and not easy to stream from just anywhere (thank you!!!). Our dance floor felt tailored to us, and the lights were so fun. He also did our introductions and gave the guests instructions when needed. “Every event needs Ezra!!! We could not have imagined our wedding without him! He was so great to work with throughout the whole process, really tailoring each aspect of entertainment to exactly what we were looking for. He is an absolute master when it comes to all things music! We had the sax/guitar duet for cocktail hour and sax/dj combo for the reception. Our guests are still raving about how great he was. Our main request for Ezra was we wanted the dance floor packed all night and that's exactly what we got!! He makes the process so easy and was available for anything we may have needed. With submitting only a few songs/vibes that we wanted, he was able to create an amazing playlist that matched exactly what we were looking for. We cannot thank Ezra enough for his part in our special day! We cannot recommend him enough!!”

“We loved working with Jon! He offered us so many great options and was incredibly accommodating with every request we had for our wedding music. He and his team are truly professional and kept the night running smoothly from start to finish. The “dancing on the clouds” feature was such a magical touch for our night sky themed wedding—it made our first dance feel truly unforgettable. We also booked the "retro" photo booth which was a huge hit! Our guests were using it all night long with help from the lovely Shelby. You absolutely NEED this photo booth at your wedding—it’s such a fun experience and an amazing keepsake! We had the best time looking through all the photos afterward. A special shout-out to District Harmony for performing during our ceremony and cocktail hour- they were fantastic! Walking down the aisle to their rendition of “Merry-Go-Round of Life” was a dream come true. Everyone commented on how great they sounded. They were the perfect addition to our day!”

Saroj James Hyoju, got into DJ industry upon walking into Latin club in Dallas, Texas in 2015. Coming from band background, he was surprised to see how people were moved by “Gasolina”, a reggaeton song. Observing how DJ was controlling the crowd’s energy while enjoying himself, this made him curious about club music genres, besides metal and rock. Following immediately, he hosted a Bring Your Own Beer (BYOB) house party, where 50 people showed up. A week later, he was invited to co-DJ at one of his friends’ wedding reception and rest is the history.

“Hiring Saroj was the best move we made. He was FANTASTIC! He walked us through all the special songs we would need for our wedding, from the first dance until the last dance as we departed. We had no clue how many songs we would need to choose, his guidance saved the day. He kept us all on track and made sure our wedding went off without a stitch. Our guest couldn’t say enough about how great our music was and how great a job our DJ did. I can’t say enough about how great Saroj was. Any future events where a DJ is need will most certainly include him. We would never hire anyone else!”

We ended up booking Sound Society as a three piece string arrangement for our ceremony and as a 10-piece band for our reception with emcee duties and they hit it out of the park. Every part of the process was simple and organized-- Neil from their team helped us choose special songs for the ceremony, tailor our do-not-plays and must-plays for the evening, and plotted out speaking cues throughout the night. A month later and we are still getting compliments about how alive our wedding band was! I spent two solid hours grooving on the dance floor and have no doubt you would do the same if you booked Sound Society.”
