Founded by Shawn and Carolyn Cox in 2009 as Boardwalk Photo Booth Company, Boardwalk Entertainment provides award-winning DJ services, three unique photo booth experiences, and beautiful wireless uplighting for weddings throughout Hampton Roads, the Eastern Shore, the Outer Banks, and beyond. Family-owned and hands-on, Boardwalk is known for personalized service, packed dance floors, and photo booth experiences guests talk about long after the celebration ends.

As a small, owner-operated business, you'll work directly with Shawn and Carolyn throughout the planning process. Whether you're booking a DJ, a photo booth, or both, every celebration is handled by Shawn, Carolyn, or a trusted member of the Boardwalk team. We intentionally book a limited number of weddings so every couple receives the attention they deserve, from the first conversation to the last song and final photo. Your wedding deserves a headliner. That's where we come in.

    Highly Recommend

    I am so glad we chose Shawn to DJ our wedding. He made multiple trips to our home to make sure the acoustics were just right for our big day. He was very easy to work with, has state of the art equipment and knows how to keep the party going.

    Best DJ Around!

    We booked Shawn for our wedding and we could not have made a better decision! He was great to work with from beginning to end! We had a unique backyard wedding and he worked very hard to make sure the sound for the ceremony and reception was more than perfect. We had fun working with him on our song selections and he truly kept the party going! The dance floor stayed HOT the whole night and that's exactly what we wanted...THANKS FOR BEING AWESOME SHAWN...WE APPRECIATE YOU!!

    Loved this Photo Booth! Best vintage vibe!

    We had Shawn and team at our wedding and everyone loved it! Man I forgot how much people love a photo booth. After the ceremony my husband and I hid away for 5 minutes and as soon as came back out people were showing me photos. The team even put together a photo book with messages from our loved ones that I had no idea about when booking (either bc it was a surprise or I didn’t read very well ). Either way it was so cute to look at the book at the end of the night and read our friends’ messages. Our friends and family still talk about how awesome it was!!

The result is a one-of-a-kind keepsake you’ll treasure long after the wedding, filled with memories and moments you’ll love flipping through for years to come.
We believe everyone should get in on the fun! Our photo booths print two copies of each photo strip by default—one for your guests to keep and one for your scrapbook (if included). If guests want extra copies, we’re happy to print them for free on the spot. And with instant digital sharing, they can also download and share their photos right away!
