DJ Karizma Entertainment is a professional and interactive DJ and MC service originally from Belize (Central America/ Caribbean), currently serving weddings and special events throughout Virginia and beyond. They have been providing epic wedding entertainment services internationally since 2009 and have been based out of Virginia since the fall of 2017.

Chris August, Owner of DJ Karizma Entertainment LLC is passionate about providing memorable musical experiences for couples and their guests. Having played for people from all over the world, Chris’s clients appreciate his Caribbean/North American fusion style of entertainment, his crowd interaction skills, and his ability to read the crowd and adapt accordingly. The versatile DJ can accommodate a guest list comprised of different ages, backgrounds, and music preferences. He offers music of all genres.

I was referred to DJ Karizma’s page and as soon as we spoke, I knew he was the one. He had such good energy and was super easy to talk to. What really sold me was that he’s Caribbean — my husband is Guyanese and I’m Puerto Rican, so we really wanted someone who understood both of our cultures and could bring the music together in a way that felt like us. And he did exactly that! From start to finish, Karizma brought the vibe and made the night unforgettable. He wasn’t just a DJ — he was also an awesome MC. He kept everything flowing smoothly, hyped the crowd when needed, and made sure everyone was having a great time. His energy was amazing the entire night. He mixed the perfect blend of music — we’re talking Reggaeton, Soca, Dancehall, Salsa, R&B, Hip Hop, and so much more. He read the crowd so well and kept everyone dancing all night long, from our parents to our friends and even the kids. We’ve had so many people tell us how fun the wedding was, and honestly, a huge part of that was thanks to him. If you’re looking for someone who really knows music, understands different cultures, and just gets it, DJ Karizma is your guy. We’re so happy we chose him. I’d book him again in a second!

DJ Karizma Entertainment was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding! From the moment we first reached out, their communication was fast, professional, and super fun. On the day of our wedding, DJ Karizma brought an incredible energy that had our guests dancing all night long - exactly the vibe we were going for. The music selection was on point and their skills behind the turntables were top-notch. I couldn't recommend DJ Karizma enough - they truly made our wedding day a dream come true. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would in a heartbeat!

DJ Karizma was everything we could have ever asked for to have on our special day! He is thorough, lively, accommodating, kind, and knows how to get the crowd engaged to create a celebratory atmosphere! We recommend him to anybody who is searching for somebody who knows how to party and keep the energy up. We chose DJ Karizma for our February wedding in Va Beach this year and first things first, his organization, communication and responsiveness were top tier. He had ceremony and reception worksheets, and song suggestions for us to review and complete which made it very easy to communicate all of our music preferences. He responded within a day or two to any questions that we had via email and text. We had a lot of expectations for our DJ such as the specific songs we chose for the ceremony, the grand entrances, reception and dance floor. We asked him to also add in some reggae vibes and all of his selections were a perfect fit for our guests. We needed his MC assistance with announcements for the audio guestbook and QR codes for the seating chart and disposable camera photo capture. He covered these announcements during cocktail hour as expected. He made sure all those that were giving a toast/speech were prepped and ready for their turn. He announced all of big moments such as the cake cutting, family dances, bouquet toss, garter toss..etc. He hosted our Photo Table Dash game and co-hosted our mini Newlywed game and his energy and enthusiasm were just what our celebration needed! We were impressed with him staying on top of everything we asked for. Our only disappointment was due to where the venue had the DJ set up (behind a curtain which obstructed his view) so our grand entrance music was cut short unexpectedly. We wish we would have communicated our expectation better with the venue as they were our day of coordinators and were supposed to be the DJ's "eyes." However, we would choose DJ Karizma again without hesitation for future events. Thank you so much DJ Karizma for making our wedding fun, hype and such a delight!!!!
