    We were disappointed with the service we received from The DJ Company of Virginia. Their communication was poor, with only a few interactions leading up to the wedding. On the day of, they failed to make important announcements like the cake cutting and our send-off, leaving many guests unaware of these key moments. Even worse, they did not play the music we had carefully selected and uploaded to their app, despite multiple people asking them to do so. Overall, The DJ Company of Virginia did not live up to our expectations and failed to contribute positively to our special day.

    We used the DJ Company for our September wedding. Frankie, Devail and Nikki were so great to work with! The process was easy from start to finish and they made it really easy to provide a timeline by using an app. Day of, they were so nice, organized and made for a great night! Everyone absolutely loved the photo booth and we have access to every single photo from the night. 10/10 recommend!

    The DJ Company of Virginia was an excellent choice for our wedding. From the very beginning, their communication was clear, prompt, and detailed, which put us at ease throughout the planning process. On the day of the wedding, their work was exceptional - the sound quality was great, the transitions between songs were smooth and engaging, and the DJs were incredibly professional and friendly. Jose got the party started and kept people dancing all night long, playing the exact genre of music we had requested. The ceremony audio also sounded wonderful. We were able to mic our officiant and guests had no issues hearing the most important part of the wedding day. Jose truly contributed to making our special day a huge success. We highly recommend The DJ Company of Virginia to any couple planning their wedding.

    Let me start off by saying that I didn't think I "needed" a DJ for my wedding, so I didn't budget for one initially. It was about halfway through wedding planning that my now-husband and I decided we should invest in one, so it would be one less thing for us to have to do on our wedding day. Budget was super important to us when booking a DJ, but we also wanted someone who was experienced and knew what they were doing. The DJ Company of Virginia did not disappoint! Nikki and Devail helped me during the booking and planning process, and helped pick the right DJ to use for our venue. When planning, we were able to suggest a bunch of songs that both of us love and also got to make a list of any songs we didn't want to hear. Our guests were able to suggest songs on their own, and I gave those to the DJ beforehand (it was a question on our RSVP form). If you wanted your guests to suggest songs during the reception, I know they would be able to do that too! Jose was the DJ for our wedding and he was super friendly and easy to talk to! My husband and I did a "fake out" for our first dance, where we made it seem like we would do the standard slow dance, but then actually use a fun, upbeat song. Jose made sure he understood what we wanted and our guests LOVED it! Jose played so many songs that I like and love that I found myself on the dancefloor a bunch. I sure got in a workout! If you need a DJ in the Hampton Roads area, you should book the DJ Co. of VA. I wasn't sure we could afford a DJ for our wedding, but their prices were perfect for our needs!
