Our first kiss was on the beach, under a star-filled sky, on my favorite island, only home to shells, bioluminescent creatures, and wild horses. Soon after, as two very young humans (21 and 23), we were married. As newlyweds we set off on an adventure, kayaking from Maine to Key West. On that trip, we realized how much we valued spending all our time together and being in charge of our schedule. This business is how we live out that dream.

Based out of Portland, Maine and primarily working with 35mm and 120mm film, Aimee uses analogue cameras and a documentary approach to create images that feel candid and natural, playful and artistic. Her photography work is greatly influenced by art history, a love of cinema, spontaneity, and a belief in kismet. She steps into each wedding with the intention to capture genuine moments and honest connections.

One of my favorite parts about this job is watching confidence grow right before the lens. When couples go from, “we’re going to be hard to photograph, we’re so awkward.” to “ no way! That’s us?” my heart could explode every time! Because what is on my camera is exactly what I see in you. It isn’t “you’re so talented!” or “that’s an amazing camera!” no, no.
