Welcome to the Barn at Wildwood Acres! A Wedding Venue like no other. While we have full knowledge of the fact that we are not the only wedding venue around, we can say that we fully invest in couples that decide to book with us! We do not just provide the venue but we also provide an experience that allows us to get to know our couples and their families so we can help out throughout the entire wedding process. In 1929, Jean-Pierre Auguste Dalmas, a Waldensian immigrant from Villar Pellice, Italy, started construction on the dairy barn on his property in Valdese, NC. After the barn had been completed, work began on the main house. He built a rock veneered masterpiece, large enough to house his 7 children. He cleared a field for a vineyard and until his death in 1972 (at the age of 92), he made wine in the basement of the main house every autumn.

The Double J Farm is a charming wedding venue in Lenoir, North Carolina. Located near the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, it provides an idyllic countryside setting for your special day. With picturesque ceremony sites, a dedicated staff and several wedding package options, it features everything needed to host the wedding of your dreams and stay within a reasonable budget.

​The barn has been built from the ground up by Craig Carpenter, his brother Timmy Carpenter and other family and friends. Many of the trees use to build the barn were harvested from their property and were prepared at their saw mill on site. The idea for a wedding venue began was a dream of their daughter, now Zimmerwald's Estate manager Katie Carpenter White. What began as a simple dream and a sketch on a piece of notebook paper, has now become a reality. We are extremely excited to be a place where beautiful family memories can be made and couples can begin their happily ever after!

The Barn is the perfect setting for a relaxing and comfortable celebration, whether it’s a rustic elegant wedding for 50 or 500 guests. The Event Tent for up to 198 guests seated for dinner or for a beautiful rain backup for ceremonies. The Lodge is a 5,000 square foot Conference Center. The Great room has 20 foot vaulted ceilings. The Boardroom will seat 14 people at a conference table. There are 2 additional dressing rooms upstairs. DuGaren Venues & Vineyards is a family owned business located in Denver, NC. The total square footage of the Venue is 10,000 square feet. There are so many unique elements of the Venue such as the large Winery space entrance doors that were obtained from an old home in Savannah GA, and the free standing fireplace at the Pavilion that was from the original home built on the land back in the 1800's.
