Hawk & Hawthorne

We had our small wedding at Hawk and Hawthorne last week and it was nothing short of magical and beyond my wildest dreams. Nick was so thorough, patient, compassionate and genuine throughout the whole process. It felt authentic to us, rustic, joyful, grounded and peaceful. Everything at the Hawk, from the evident reverence and care for the land, to the ease and flow of the day was intentional and lovely. All the staff I met were so delightful, helpful and present; the chef and team made delicious pizzas with locally sourced ingredients. Being there you notice how much effort and devotion is put into creating a truly unique and sacred space for others to come together and find shared wonder. I will always treasure our memories created there- dancing with my love, picking flowers in the garden with my mom, sitting around the campfire eating pb&js with our friends and gazing up at the stars! I feel so blessed and grateful we found the Hawk and were able celebrate our marriage there❤️✨ Absolutely perfect thank you Nick, Michael, and friends at the Hawk!

The Carolina Event Masters team recently had the opportunity to lead plan a wedding at the beautiful Hawk & Hawthorne property, and it was such a great experience! The space is beautiful and unique, the setting is gorgeous, and the venue staff were very helpful and available throughout the wedding day. Our wedding at Hawk and Hawthorne was a magical experience! Everything was on point, from the venue grounds to the staff. We rented the place for the full weekend and had a concert Friday night, wedding ceremony Saturday and a farewell brunch Sunday for those who camped or stayed near by. We felt supported and taken care of each stop of the way. Highly recommend!

Beautiful, rustic wedding venue! Close enough to Asheville for guests to stay there, but far enough away to feel like you're in another world. Wear flats, steep rocky terrain. Staff provides golf cart transport from parking area. Highly recommend!

We were so grateful to host our wedding weekend at Hawk and Hawhthorne! It was critical for us to find a venue partner that practiced genuine care for the lands and waters they steward, and Hawk and Hawthorne is going above and beyond to restore degraded lands into an ecological oasis. The lands, forests, springs, and view were all incredible, but the team at H&H is what truly made our weekend special. From the first call we had, we felt like we had deep thought partners and allies in creating something that would be a success for all stakeholders involved. They were incredibly flexible with our desires and requests, and seemed to have fun doing new things with us too. Their communication was clear and compassionate, and they did a great job setting clear boundaries with compassion when necessary. We felt so much kindness and love from the team throughout the weekend, from little acts of care to spruce up the lands, to showing us a beautiful moth that graced our wedding night, to driving around folks in the golf cart with such friendliness, to making our honeymoon suite so cozy. We felt so well taken care of. Some good perks: - The permaculture tour, dipping in the spring, the forest trails, and the gorgeous tobacco barn were all big hits. - Being able to truly relax into the space for a full 3-day weekend was HUGE - camping options were wonderful. - It's so hard to find sustainably grown flowers in general, so having our flowers come directly from the organic gardens at H&H was a major treat!
