I love what I do. I found my way to professional photography in a roundabout way, having started my working career as a marine scientist and environmental educator in CA and then on Maui. After years immersed in the ocean and hundreds of hours spent underwater, I realized that I was happiest on days when I could adventure freely with a camera in hand. The drive to learn more and become a better photographer lead me back to school on the east coast, where I ended up finding a new dream career and a home and community that I love.

I am always up for adventure. Whether it involves climbing a mountain, jumping in the water, or even getting there on skis, I'm in. My favorite photos are almost always the candids, the outtakes, and the little moments in between the other moments. I love using the landscape and the constantly changing seasons as a backdrop to help set a tone and tell a story. More than anything, I love working with couples and families who are down to earth, easy going and fun. I love what I do because of the people I get to work with and the beautiful locations I get to use as backdrops. I am always, always, always up for travel and new locations.

    Laura is the best!! Beautiful photos

    Laura is amazing!!! Her photos are so stunning and we have so many. She captured everything we wanted and more. She was so easy to work with and flexible adjusting our plans throughout the day around the VT weather. She was so fun to be around and gave our wedding party tons of tips to make the photos turn out perfect. We can't stop looking at the photos!

    Best Photographer!

    Laura is amazing! We were so lucky to have a photographer who knew our venue really well and she was so personable. Communication from day one was great and she always responded right away. She also made the final weeks of planning easy, sending us a form with everything she needed to ensure we got all the pictures we wanted. Mike was awesome too- we had the pleasure to work with him for a few hours and the groomsmen all said he was so kind. They were a great team and kept us on schedule before the ceremony. Laura sent us several photos the next day and they’re amazing, we can’t wait to see the rest! So happy we booked Laura and Mike, truly the kindest people and so fun to work with!

    INCREDIBLE!

    Laura is great! She really tries to get you know you on a deeper level, when I first reach out she sent a huge questionnaire which I loved! She is so flexible, which was perfect. Our wedding was in Vermont and we are living in Colorado. We were able to coordinate meeting up when we visited in May. We met at a beautiful location and she took soo many more photos than I thought we’d get back! They were all incredible! Her questionnaire for the wedding day was perfect! Fast forward to wedding day, she arrived promptly when we agreed on and got right to work! Guests loved her and she did such an amazing job! We had our first sneak peak picture at 7:30 the next morning! We loved working with Laura!

    Amazing day despite surprise weather!

    We could not have found a better person to photograph our wedding. Laura was amazing when interacting with family members who were not familiar with the wedding process, and with those who knew a lot about weddings. She blended seamlessly into every interaction and was so friendly and helpful the entire time. We ended up having a change of plans last minute due to the weather, and she managed to get us all together to take different sets of photos with very limited time. She got photos that we didn’t even realize we wanted and was great with communicating during the process. She went above and beyond to make sure we were not stressed and the day proceeded smoothly. Our photos turned out so beautiful and “us” and our day genuinely would not have been the same without her. Thanks Laura!

    So grateful to have worked with Laura

    If I could give more than 5 stars to Laura, I would! She took the time to understand us, our style and vision from the very start. We were appreciative of the engagement photoshoot as a way to get more acquainted and comfortable. From there, leading up to and on the day of our wedding, she was professional, supportive, and even helpful in problem solving aspects of our set up for adequate lighting, etc. She's been INCREDIBLY flexible and understanding throughout this whole process and experience. In every interaction, you can tell her priority is to support those she's working with and bring ease to big (or small) moments for all involved.

Typically, couples book me about 13 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.
It's up to you! I work by myself a lot of the time. As long as we have a good timeline going into the wedding day, it's all good. If you would prefer two of us, that's fine too! I'm happy to add a second photographer if you think you'd like two of us there to capture your day.
Yes! All of your images will go through a primary edit to get rid of blinks and blurs and to make sure the crop and white balance look good. Then, any images that need a little extra love go through a secondary retouch. The goal is to make sure each image looks its best without looking "photoshopped".
Turnaround depends a bit on season and the number of events I have at the time. Typically, I send out a handful of sneak peeks a day or two after the wedding, a sharing gallery a week or two after the wedding and then the full, final set of high res images 4-6 weeks after the wedding.
Yes!!! Safety first. I also put together a contract for each event so that there is a clear plan in place and my clients know what to expect in the event of certain unforeseen circumstances (like a pandemic). Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
Always a great question! Step 1 - alert my clients to whatever emergency, illness or circumstance might be preventing me from photographing their event. Step 2 - give my client the option to find another photographer or have me help to find a replacement. Wedding photography is a collaborative process and I would never feel right swapping in a replacement without consulting my clients first.
Yes! It happens all the time - people end up having so much fun that they decide they want to extend their photography coverage. I have an hourly rate for such occasions and I never book additional events on a wedding day so that I'm free just in case.
Yes! It is my absolute favorite. I've worked with lots of charismatic pups, some horses and even a couple of alpacas. Weddings are always more fun when furry friends are involved. If your fur buddy can't make it to the wedding because of travel of venue restrictions, let's set up an engagement session where we can include them!
Absolutely. 100% yes. All of my wedding packages include a complimentary engagement session. Having that time to walk and talk and be silly and get to know each other before the wedding (and take some photos) is an invaluable part of the process for me - and my clients. It diffuses any nervousness before the big event and allows me to get a feel for the style of the people I'm working with.
