The Vinton War Memorial is owned and operated by the Town of Vinton and often hosts public events at the venue. The Vinton War Memorial was originally conceived as the centerpiece of an 11.5-acre park that could be enjoyed by the community while honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country during World War II. The park was completed in 1946 and the two-story brick building known as the Vinton War Memorial was dedicated and opened to the public on August 20, 1948. We're a family-owned working farm located in New Castle, VA about 20 minutes from Roanoke. We have >100 acres of pristine land that backs up to National Forest land. The back of the farm has a small, rustic barn that has been converted for use as a intimate ceremony and can accommodate several people or a covered area for serving food, cake table, and gifts area. Couples are welcome to hang photos and decorate the barn to their liking. There is ample room for tents to accommodate DJ services, dance floor, caterers, etc. The lower section of the property is meticulously maintained and has a built-in stone grill and a large fire pit that couples are welcome to use. Virginia Mountain Vineyards is located on 91 acres nestled between the Blue Ridge and Allehgeny Mountains with gorgeous mountain views. Venue has a beautiful vineyard arbor for wedding ceremonies and the ceremony walkway is a paver pathway lined with red rose bushes. A large tent on a paver patio is available for wedding receptions. The tent is lit with chandeliers and Edison lighting that can be heated or air conditioned and seats up to 250 guests.
