About this venue

The Ruins at Castle Grove is a stunning venue that looks like no other. Your pictures will be as unique as you. It was designed with your moments in mind, so they could be captured beautifully from many angles- there's not just one pretty spot! We are a micro venue, hosting up to 50 guests. The ambience is magical and like you are getting married in a storybook. We believe in *your* creative vision. You select your own vendors. You can DIY your decor, or have it professionally done by your own floral team. You can bring in a chef, a wood-fired on-site kitchen, food trucks, or simply order pizzas. You craft your day without us telling you who you have to use. Because of the stone castle ruins, you can shift the vibe of the venue with your decor. Tuscan, French countryside, Old World Renaissance, or Celtic themes come through with ease, based upon your styling. Come tour our castle venue! It's a fairytale come true.

This space offers a stone castle that towers over 14 foot high with a crystal chandelier, festoon lights, and greenery dripping from the ledges. The reception area has a serpentine table set-up that wraps around the outside of the castle space, so that every site location is dreamy. This venue is nestled in a grove of trees and features a food truck lawn and indoor restroom/sitting room area. The space is so well appointed that your additional styling can be minimal.

Well worth it!
I recently had the chance to visit this beautiful micro wedding venue, and it truly feels like stepping into a fairytale. The castle theme is incredibly charming and thoughtfully done. It creates such a romantic and intimate atmosphere that would be perfect for a small, meaningful celebration. One of the things I appreciated most was how ideal the space is for micro weddings. It doesn’t feel oversized or overwhelming. Instead, it feels intentional and perfectly suited for couples who want something intimate and memorable with their closest loved ones. If you’re a bride looking for something different from a traditional venue, this is definitely worth considering. It has a magical quality that’s hard to find, and I can guarantee it will make a wedding day feel incredibly special.

Yes! We have an indoor restroom/sitting room.

Virginia is most beautiful in late Oct & early November, but we're partial. That being said, our prices don't change because of peak seasons. You shouldn't have to pay more just because it's gorgeous weather. ;)

Yes, we are a raw venue site, so you are welcome to hire your own licensed & insured, ABC licensed bartender/service.

Yes, we have self-parking on site.

Yes, we have wheelchair accessible restroom and sitting area. We also have ramps at the main entrance. Hearing-impaired fire alarm lights indoor, and trained staff. The ceremony site and reception site are truly wooded in nature and the pathway is mulch. Accessibility would vary per the needs of each individual.

Yes, although our venue is fully insured, we require you to get a simple rider policy on your existing insurance for the event. This can often be taken-out by the bride, groom, or parents, and is usually super-affordable, (we've heard as low as $75!) It's just another layer of protection for you.

Booking fees for our facilities, and all payments made including deposits, are non-refundable. If you cancel your event within 365 days of your booked date, we’ll cancel your remaining balance due at that time.
