For those who believe in fairytales. Located in Forest, Virginia, our realm is the perfect private sanctuary for small weddings! We offer florals, photography, videography, custom decor & styling, lighting and more in-house, all so you don’t have to lift a finger. Choose between the greenhouse, the Enchanted Cottage, the Fairy Godmother's House, the Enchantry or a mix of all! With 4 locations you won't find anywhere else, we can’t think of anything better than exchanging vows in these magical spaces. The Enchanted Cottage

An experience you will never find anywhere else.

Adding 1 night of stay will allow you to check in the day of your wedding. We recommend arriving with hair and makeup done, allowing you to focus on getting dressed before the ceremony. Adding 2 nights of stay will allow you to check in the day before and wake up the morning of in the cottage. Hair/makeup can come to you and you'll have the entire day to get ready on-site.

    Magical Venue, wonderful staff!

    Vaughan House was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding. From the very beginning, their communication was always available, clear, and prompt - they made the planning process seamless. On the day of, our assigned coordinator was incredibly attentive to all of our requests and even helped us come up with a beautiful backup plan in case of rainy weather. The venue itself is very lovely, with a stunning outdoor areas. Vaughan House was so accommodating and truly went above and beyond to make our special day perfect. We couldn't recommend them more highly!

    Vaughan House Greenhouse was the perfect venue for our wedding. They were always available to communicate leading up to the wedding, and Megan answered all my questions and concerns. She communicated effectively and efficiently! They took their time to create a beautiful environment that is perfect for my wedding. It was ready for fall and each little detail made the day so special. Megan and her team made sure my husband and I were taken care of. They created a beautiful wedding filled with everything I wanted and didn’t even know I needed!

We max out at 50 wedding guests. This does not include the couple, vendors or lap children.
We are currently booking 2027 - 2029. We will only be accepting a limited number of weddings per year. When capacity is reached, our books will close and we will not be accepting anymore events for that year. 2026 is fully booked. 2027 is 70% booked.
You're able to utilize the Enchantry at no additional cost for your ceremony and/or reception!
Of course! We have a recommended vendor list for you full of vendors outside of our in-house services.
Yes, we do! Our Seedling (the greenhouse) or the Storybook (the cottage) are perfect all-inclusive packages for couple wishing to elope.
April - October.
November - March. We are closed for greenhouse weddings during that time, however the Storybook option is available year-round.
Because our in-house team is trained specifically for the Vaughan House venue, high-touch service flow, and our venue layout and policies, most couples choose to keep the bar experience in-house for the best guest experience. However, you are permitted to bring in a third-party bartending team for a small fee upon approval. This does NOT include alcohol. Legally, you must purchase the alcohol, deliver it to the venue the day of the event and surrender it to the bar. By law, you are still required to secure a VA ABC Banquet license. The direct link will be sent to you after officially booking!

Yes, at the greenhouse and Enchantry!
When adding 1 night of stay, you're able to enjoy greenhouse/Enchantry access beginning at 2:00pm on the wedding day. This will allow you to check in the day of your wedding. Adding 2 nights of stay will allow you to check in the day before and wake up the morning of already on-site. This option is perfect for those who would like to have a DIY rehearsal and/or dinner at the Enchantry the day before! Enjoy all day greenhouse/Enchantry access on the wedding day. Also opens up a new realm of photo/video opportunities and possibilities! If you do not add the cottage with your package, sadly it will not be available for use.
Check-in: 2:00pm Check out: 10:00am Sleeps: 14 Visiting Guests: Up to 20 Adding 1 night of stay will allow you to check in the day of your wedding. Adding 2 nights of stay will allow you to check in the day before and wake up the morning of already on-site. Enjoy all day greenhouse/Enchantry access at check in and on the wedding day. This option is perfect for those who would like to have a DIY rehearsal and/or dinner the day before! After the wedding is over, the majority of your guest count will depart. Invite up to 20 visiting guests to continue quietly enjoying the property until 11:00pm. All non-overnight guests depart at 11:00pm.
We do not provide food in house, however we do provide a recommended vendor list for you! You're welcome to chose from our listed vendors who have been here before and do an excellent job, or do your own research and bring someone in. If you bring in a caterer not on our list, please have them contact us - they will have questions! It's also popular to cater from a favorite restaurant, bring in a food truck or have a pot luck. Vaughan House staff is not permitted to handle food, so please make sure you have all cutlery and food servers needed! We provide food tables that will be setup underneath our deck where the Enchantry is located.
Please create a Spotify or Apple Music playlist and share it with us. Based on your music answers in the questionnaire, our coordinators will connect to our sound system and play your music when required. Because of the unique location of our space, we cannot allow a DJ, live bands (string instruments like acoustic guitar, harp, cello, etc. are fine!), microphones, amps or additional speakers.
Is the greenhouse/Enchantry wheelchair accessible? Are there restrooms on-site? Do you take care of all the trash? Is the Enchantry included with all greenhouse weddings at no additional cost? Are you LGBT friendly? Do you include the bar for any vendor to use? Is there a place for dancing? Can we light the fireplace and/or firepit? Do you allow dogs? (Greenhouse/FGH/Enchantry only)
