About this venue
A Historic Estate Where Timeless Romance Meets Modern Comfort. Sunnybrook has everything you need for a perfect wedding or event: A large and historic home setting, a beautifully renovated ballroom, a covered outdoor veranda with a double water feature, an open-air boxwood garden with a charming pergola feature, a bridal suite, and a groom's suite. We offer the versatility to accommodate the wedding ceremony and reception at the same location. The facility holds up to 225 guests, reception-style. We are a premiere full service event facility ready to entertain all of your wedding needs from the bridal shower to the reception and everything that falls in between. We encourage you to come out for an informal tour, our planners will guide you through the wedding of your dreams!

Halen Cole Ballroom
A beautiful space for guests to sit down and enjoy their dinner with the newly wed couple.
This space is super not only beautiful, it is also very versatile. Couple's typically use our ballroom for their reception dinner, however it can be used for the ceremony or the whole reception if you'd like. We can set up the room however you would like with round tables, long tables, a sweetheart table, or a little bit of both.

Open-air Boxwood Garden
Allows for your guests to watch you get married in a stunning outdoor space.
Our garden features a large, white pergola that makes your ceremony even more beautiful. You can attach florals, drapery, or even a chandelier in our pergola, which makes the space even cozier. Our garden stays bright and green year round, so whether you want a spring or a fall wedding, we know our garden won't disappoint.

Covered Veranda
Don't worry about the rain, our covered patio allows couples to have the perfect plan B that is still outside and just as beautiful as our garden.
This covered patio can be used for not only the reception, but also the ceremony. Our patio is the perfect rain backup option or, if you choose you like the patio better than the garden, it can simply be where you have your ceremony regardless of weather. It allows for your guests to have a shaded area on hot days, or we can enclose the area and add heaters on a cool day. It also makes a great cocktail hour area for guests to mingle before dinner!

This package includes all day facility access, with a 4 hour reception time. An additional one hour is added if you choose to have the ceremony here as well. You will have access to both the Bridal Suite and Groom Suites as early on the day of your wedding as you would like. This package includes access to all three of our spaces including the ballroom, patio, and garden. It also includes all of your catering needs (excludes cake/desserts).

Dream Venue!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Sunnybrook Venue in Roanoke, Virginia. I live in Massachusetts, so aside from our initial visit to tour the venue, every single part of my wedding planning was done remotely over the phone, Zoom, and Google video calls. Despite that distance, everything came together more beautifully than I ever could have imagined, and so much of that credit goes to the incredible team at Sunnybrook. Emma Stanley, our wedding coordinator, was an absolute rockstar from start to finish. She was patient, organized, and truly listened to my vision while also helping me stay on budget. She made remote planning feel effortless and was always just a call or text away. On the wedding day itself, Emma was present for the entire event and kept everything running smoothly. She coordinated with all of our vendors, handled every little detail, and her team was moving flowers, tables, and chairs with total professionalism. I did about 90% of my own wedding planning as the groom and I truly believe the day would not have been nearly as beautiful without Emma guiding me through it. Sunnybrook also recently welcomed a new coordinator, Sarah, who worked alongside Emma on our wedding day and did a wonderful job as well. We also hosted our rehearsal dinner at Sunnybrook the night before the wedding and it was a fantastic way to kick off the weekend. The taco bar was a huge hit with our families and Payton was working the bar that evening and did a great job. The food was outstanding. Randy Scaggs, the owner and executive chef, is a true talent in the kitchen. We had 140 guests and I have not heard a single complaint about the food from anyone. The beef dish was a crowd favorite, I had the salmon which was fantastic, and my bride loved her chicken dish. We chose a plated meal as I am not a fan of buffets and I am so glad we did. When your guests are still talking about the food weeks later, you know you made the right choice. The open bar was equally impressive. Drinks were flowing all night and no one had to wait long. Sunnybrook has a wonderful selection and is very flexible about working with you to serve exactly what you want. And then there were the flowers! The F-L-O-W-E-R-S! The flower were honestly my favorite part of the entire day aside from my bride. I worked with Emma and Tammy Scaggs on my vision, which was 'colorful and vibrant.' I had specifically requested Allium flowers and they delivered in the most amazing way, sourcing Alliums that came all the way from Amsterdam. The florist on site, Grace Winters, was an absolute delight. She was so knowledgeable and passionate about the flowers, and when it started to rain she worked with me on the spot to adjust the setup and make everything look perfect. She was a 10 out of 10. If you are looking for a wedding venue with incredible food, a talented and caring team, and attention to every last detail, Sunnybrook is the place. From our first tour to the final moment of our reception, Sunnybrook Venue made everything feel effortless. Emma, their coordinator, was there for us at every step—answering our questions quickly, walking us through details, and keeping everything on track. The space itself is beautiful and has this calm, intentional vibe that set the perfect tone for our day. Emma's attention to detail and genuine care made sure nothing fell through the cracks, and our guests kept commenting on how elegant and well-organized everything was. We felt taken care of from start to finish, and we honestly can't imagine celebrating our wedding anywhere else. Sunnybrook Venue is worth every penny.

Nothing Short Of Amazing
They blew our expectations away and were AMAZING. Especially Emma who made sure everything was being handled and taken care of so we got to enjoy our day. The perfect day
Sunnybrook Venue was the perfect choice for our September wedding! The staff, especially Emma, Sarah, and Cy, were on top of communication from the start and continued to check in with us throughout the night to ensure we had everything we needed. They were genuinely invested in making our day special. They handled setup, décor placement, and timelines seamlessly. The bridal suite was spacious and perfect for getting ready. The venue itself was beautiful, intimate but spacious enough for our 115 guest wedding party. And the food was incredible! To this day, our guests are still raving about how it was the best wedding food they've ever had. Highly recommend Sunnybrook Venue for anyone looking to have a beautiful wedding day!
