“Golden Bell Music was worth EVERY penny AND MORE! It's been 6 months since my wedding and I'm STILL getting comments on how much fun all our guests had! Even my mother-in-law who doesn't dance did NOT sit down! I'm Lebanese and my husband is Israeli, so I had asked for help mixing songs to combine our cultures and then move into more western music. I'm still getting sooooo many compliments from our families on how we were able to combine our traditions and our music! And our guests LOST IT when they came out on the dance floor with their instruments and danced with us! I did this in lieu of a zaffet group because i wanted something more unique -- in lebanon a drumline would follow the bride and groom and dance/perform for guests -- and it was definitely the right choice!!! On top of their amazing performance, Marlon was **insanely helpful** both leading up to the day and on the day. I didn't have a wedding planner and was making last minute decisions/timeline changes myself the day of. I couldn't have done it so smoothly without Marlon being so helpful as an MC and being so willing to roll with it! He was absolutely fantastic!! Cut your budget wherever you can to make sure you can hire them. It's SO worth it! Thank you Golden Bell Music for making it the best day of summer (so i've been told. multiple times. by different guests.)!! I especially appreciated that Richard was able to play some German songs for some guests who had flown in from Germany, as that got even some of our older relatives on the dance floor. My now husband and I were quite nervous about hiring a DJ (naturally given it was our first time!), but the second I found and spoke to Joey over the phone in an introductory call, I knew we were in good hands. His warmth, charisma and incredible professional experience was apparent, even during those first few minutes. Joey is an unbelievably talented performer (he played live cello at our ceremony) and a well seasoned DJ. What we didn’t know when we first hired him, was just how much help Joey would be in helping us schedule and orchestrate the flow of our full wedding. We had multiple calls and meetings, well before the wedding day, where Joey kept us informed and confident all throughout. He helped us coordinate the music not only to the most important parts of the wedding, but also to all in the in-betweens, making sure that good vibes were always flowing throughout the whole thing. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better person to make it all happen. Joey is also someone who is incredibly organized and pays great attention to detail and timing. He kept things moving (even though that was outside the scope of his work) and made sure everything was on schedule. Even when we ended up going overtime (not to the fault of Joey but family getting too carried away with speeches!), Joey quickly and expertly adjusted his set and made the final dance party something we will never forget. I truly mean this when I say don’t look any further. Don’t hesitate in hiring Joey—if we had to do it all over again, we would pick Cello Joe, every single time. —and to Joey: thank you so much for everything. “Keith was the perfect DJ. Honestly! There is nothing that we would change about our wedding night, it was truly perfect. Keith is a class act professional who makes no compromise between quality and affordability. He values his clients and offers extraordinary service at an affordable price. I went in with high (but reasonable) expectations for our wedding night, and he definitely delivered above and beyond!! We had read other reviews of weddings that Keith had DJ’d where the clients were musicians and they had curated a specific type of music they wanted throughout the night, and he nailed it. I consider myself a little bit of an audiophile, so I listen to a wide range of music, and I can also attest to just how amazing Keith’s music selection was! Part of a DJ’s job is to get you excited to go out on the dance floor, and we were already excited before the dancing began, because we just knew Keith was going to kill it (spoiler alert: he did!). He even mixed together multiple songs at once and it was amazing! Keith kept the atmosphere alive all night and there was never a dead moment. Most of the people were up and dancing, even people who have never been willing to dance before! It takes a skilled DJ to do that. It was electric. We had had a negative experience with another DJ company that we spoke to before we decided to look to Nocturnal Cafe, but just from the first conversation with Keith we knew he was our DJ. Keith was incredibly respectful to us, he was patient and understanding throughout the whole process, and he worked with us every step of the way to make sure we were going to have the best night of our lives. His process with his clients is great and made us feel very comfortable. He does a great job of avoiding the typical eye-roll cheesy songs (unless you request it, of course) and he picks songs that suit well for what you’re looking for. We gave him some songs/artists/genres we would like to hear (and some to songs to avoid) but we ultimately wanted to just give him an idea of what we were thinking and for him to use it as a guide more than a ‘must’. We gave him creative freedom to just let him work his magic and boy, was it magic that came out of those speakers!”
