“I am a professional wedding coordinator turned queer bride and I was worried about finding a good DJ for our wedding. Many wedding DJs give me second hand embarrassment and create a cringey homecoming-y vibe. Also, we had a guest count of just 47 so we were worried about finding a DJ who could get the dance floor moving with such a small group. Frank was everything we were looking for and more!!! Frank absolutely BLEW US AWAY with his professionalism, talent, and personality! In meetings he was attentive, explained everything in detail, and really worked to get to know us as a couple instead of just a cookie cutter one size fits most format. QUEER COUPLES THIS IS YOUR DJ!!! As a queer couple, we were in search of vendors who would make us feel safe and welcome through the whole process. We absolutely found that in Frank! He was open and understanding of pronouns, identities, and family dynamics. He truly cared and listened to us about each and every aspect! We felt truly celebrated, safe, and welcome! On the big day everyone was telling us how well they could hear everything during the ceremony (it was outside and windy) and we gave alllllll the credit to Frank’s high quality equipment and skill. My spouse and I kept talking about how good of an announcer he was and how well spoken he was. Zero cringing on my end (which is HUGE for me)! His lighting and set up was professional and elegant. It didn’t take away from the rest of the decor while still lighting up on the dance floor beautifully and made for the perfect dancing atmosphere! Once it was time for dancing he kept the party going until the last song even with our small guest count! We had a blast and Frank played a MASSIVE role in that! He worked seamlessly with our planner and designer, Mia, with Little Acorns Events who recommended him! Our timeline, experience, and vibe was perfect thanks to their collaboration!!! We couldn’t possibly recommend Frank with PTEG enough! Trust me he will be the highlight of your event!”

From the very first song to the last, they kept the energy high and the dance floor packed. “Epic Sounds was an amazing addition to our wedding! From the beginning Lance was very attentive to our needs and our ideas. He was very flexible with our late add ons (if you’re on the fence about the photo booth definitely get it!!!!!) He provided professional sound and service throughout our entire wedding. Everyone who needed a mic had one set up with ease. He was able to do separate music for us in a different part of the venue for guests who did not want to be around louder music or lights. He was also ready to help with any task that was thrown his way! When I was dead set on a short clip I had seen online and had the idea to mix it with a different song, he was able to achieve my vision and took feedback when I wanted to tweak small things! One of our favorite parts was his ability to mix all night. We did not want a DJ to just press play on a preset playlist and go about their evening. Lance was on top of it the entire time and there was no lull in music or in energy on the dance floor. We requested that there were no slow songs and each song did not play all the way through. It gave him the ability to spin and gave him autonomy to read the dance floor and play whatever fitted the vibe. He made it very easy to make requests for what to play (or not play!) ahead of time and it saved us time and stress the day of. Lance helped our wedding vision come to life – if you want a party on your dance floor, he is your guy!!!”

After inquiring about their recommendation for a DJ that knew how to throw an amazing dance party, we were given TD’s information. From the detailed pre-wedding questionnaire and phone conversations to the day of our wedding, T.D. was very professional, knowledgeable, and a lot of fun. We also used T.D. for our ceremony amplification. We are happy to report that we did not have any microphone malfunctions! Most importantly, the reception was truly a party from the time we were introduced until the time we made our escape. From the lighted monogram initials, choreographed dances, and a variety of music, he made sure we had everything we asked for. T.D. kept us to our timeline and kept the guests aware of the happenings around the venue. We are so thankful to have had him as our D.J., as many memories were made on the dance floor that night. 5 stars from us!”

“The photographer, videographer, and photo booth was absolutely perfect and our guests had a blast! However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”

His mixes were the main reason we booked him. Every song was mixed seamlessly with no awkward pauses or silences. We added the cold sparklers, dancing on the clouds, and name in lights to our DJ package! All were very beautiful, my guests couldn’t stop talking about it. “We had the pleasure of working with DJ Wong from MyDeejay. A quick review of MyDeejay: They were excellent to work with. They paired us with DJ Wong after we filled out a quick survey about the vibe we wanted for our wedding, and it was smooth sailing from there. It's clear from working DJ Wong that MyDeejay vets their DJs very well and ensures they're all professional and great to work with. Now for DJ Wong: He's got all of the main things you want in a vendor--professionalism, responsiveness, expertise, etc.), but he goes well above and beyond those standards. He provided ceremony music, background music, reception music, and uplighting, but that's just the starting point of everything he did for us. We were PICKY and we had A LOT of requests, and he accommodated them all flawlessly and eagerly. We requested he alter versions of some of our selected songs to adjust for timing, blending parts of songs together, and very particular transitions between songs. He made everything sound amazing! We had not 1, not 2, but FIVE choreographed dances throughout the evening, and he executed the timing of everything perfectly. The sound was incredible! In addition to that, because we were completely over-the-top for our wedding, DJ Wong so graciously and excitedly fulfilled our request to have KARAOKE at our reception. It was SO MUCH FUN!!! We had a very particular vibe in mind from our wedding--we wanted our ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner to be classy and jazzy, and then for the reception dancing we wanted a mix of Pop anthems from the past 3 decades--DJ Wong understood the assignment perfectly! We were also at a very large venue and he had to provide sound across many different areas throughout the evening, but he came fully prepared and did an excellent job. We received so many compliments about the ambience for the entire evening, and we attribute that to him! On top of everything else, DJ Wong is an excellent MC and can read a room flawlessly. He kept the vibes up the entire evening, and struck the perfect balance of engaging with the audience and letting the music do the work. We are so grateful we had him for our special day!”

“Highly recommend Jeremy to anyone looking for a DJ! He was easy to work with and sent over an extensive questionnaire to fill out. We were able to create Spotify playlists and include them in the questionnaire for easy referencing of our preferred music tastes. The music is what I was most worried about during wedding planning as I didn’t want to play typical wedding music, but Jeremy came through and played all our favorite songs and more, and even complimented our indie music taste! Transitions were smooth and announcements weren’t over the top. As introverts, he also made sure we were comfortable and made sure not to prolong our first dance any longer than we wanted.”

“Julian at Limelight and DJ Rashaun were absolutely perfect for us. We knew the vibe we wanted — and, frankly, it was a little off the beaten path since we wanted a bit of a 1930s feeling. We thought we were doomed, though, because we're terrible at selecting exact songs and had no sense of how the music fit into the overall schedule of the night. We hadn't thought past our ceremony! Julian kept things positive, steered us when we had no idea what to do, but gave us space to put our stamp on our evening when he could sense we had ideas burbling. He was helpful, positive and always prompt without ever being pushy, and so many of our favorite moments came out of the things he got us to think about. Rashaun was awesome too. He took our weird list of preferred songs and turned it into an amazing night of love, dining, and dancing. It felt like he'd known for years, always hitting the right classic hit, the right remix, the right memory moments. He was such a kind and lovely man too. We'd hire them again in a heartbeat!”

From the very beginning, their communication was excellent - they were very prompt in responding to our questions and made the entire process easy on our end. On the day of, he provided outstanding service, helping with bartending in addition to top-notch DJing. He kept the energy and vibes high all night, ensuring our guests were engaged and having a great time. The Selfie WiFi was a ton of fun for our guests as well. We didn't have to worry about a thing when it came to the music and entertainment, as they were extremely reliable. Not only is Tyrone a great DJ, but an even better person. “DJ Anthony Bryant (aka DJ Ant-Boogie) was absolutely amazing and such an important part of our wedding experience. When planning a wedding, there are a million things to worry about. DJ Ant Boogie is not one of them. He was so nice and so patient and professional with us during the planning, and an absolute joy to work with during the actual wedding. We had such little direction for him and gave the most vague descriptions of our friends and ourselves and the general vibe and he crafted the most perfect wedding playlist I have ever heard. All night people were complimenting us on our amazing song choices (all DJ ant boogie) and the dance floor was alive literally all night. He also did such a wonderful job with all of our special requests and announcements and all the “scripted wedding stuff” that happens during a wedding.
