We had an absolutely amazing experience with David Floyd, “DJ Squirrel,” from Horizon Harbor Events for our wedding! From the moment we started working with David, he was professional, friendly, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our wedding reception everything we hoped it would be. David did an incredible job keeping the energy and excitement going throughout the entire celebration. The music selection was fantastic, and he did a wonderful job reading the crowd and knowing exactly what to play to keep everyone entertained and on the dance floor. From our special songs and meaningful moments to the high-energy dancing later in the evening, everything flowed perfectly. One of the things we appreciated most was how easy David was to work with. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but having a DJ who was organized, dependable, and attentive to our requests gave us one less thing to worry about. He listened to what we wanted, incorporated our preferences, and brought his own experience and personality to make the reception feel fun and memorable. I wanted to surprise my mother with a dance and little script to ask her on the dance floor. I asked DJ Squirrel to read the script for me as I knew I wouldn’t make it through. He was very willing to do what I asked but offered a more personal touch!! He gave me the option to record myself saying the script and he blended it into the beginning music of the song! My mom lost it!! What a personal touch and such a thoughtful suggestion! The sound quality and overall presentation were excellent, and David worked seamlessly with the other vendors to help everything stay on schedule. He helped create the perfect atmosphere for every part of the reception, from the special moments to the celebration with family and friends. Our guests had such a great time and had so many positive things to say about the music and entertainment. The dance floor was full, the energy was incredible, and we made so many wonderful memories that we will cherish for years to come. Not only did we use his DJ services, we used his uplighting which made our whole reception space a party vibe, Photo Booth that was personalized with our names and even wedding flowers on the photo strip, and audio guest book to cherish for so many years to come! We are so thankful to David Floyd “DJ Squirrel” and Horizon Harbor Events for helping make our wedding day so special. If you’re looking for a DJ who is professional, talented, personable, energetic, and truly cares about giving you an unforgettable experience, we highly recommend David and Horizon Harbor Events. He absolutely exceeded our expectations, and we would choose him again in a heartbeat!

DJ Squirrel is Awesome
I knew from the moment we met on our first zoom call that DJ Squirrel aka David Floyd was the right fit for us. He is phenomenal! Very professional and personable. He was able to determine what music was appropriate for each section of the timeline from the playlist we curated. He really delivers and enjoys what he is doing. The Photo Booth and audio book were great additions. We would definitely hire him again and highly recommend him to others. Thank you so much for everything!

Horizon Harbor Events was the perfect choice for our wedding entertainment. From start to finish, DJ Squirrel’s communication was effective, clear, and incredibly helpful as we planned the music and entertainment for our special day. The quality of his work and value was truly unmatched - he kept all 125 of our guests on the dancefloor all night long, and the event app made organizing the music was and stress-free for me (the bride). It was the best night of our lives, and we haven't danced like that in years! The playlist they curated was absolutely perfectly. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ to make our wedding celebration a party to remember! Three days later, guests are still asking me who he was and telling me how much fun they had!! I couldn’t recommend him any more highly!!

Worry Free Wedding Day
DJ Squirrel was absolutely awesome! We were squared away in just a couple short phone calls. The app he provides for you to request songs, timelines, etc is very easy to use and helps make the music selection process really simple. You can update it whenever you want. He also does exactly what he says he will do. You don’t need to worry about reliability or him going rogue. He will communicate with your coordinator, other vendors, the venue, etc. He had total control of our wedding and made the night about us, not about him (believe it or not some DJ’s out there are more concerned with their image than your wedding!). He can get the dance floor moving, even for tough crowds that aren’t quick to get up there. We have used him several times since for work events and highly recommend him for your needs too. David is a great dude, an absolute professional, and cares about what he does!

The absolute best!!
One of my biggest fears while wedding planning was having an empty dance floor but from the moment we met David, we knew we were in great hands! He was absolutely the best. His communication is unmatched. He responds quickly, answers every question and sends super helpful emails full of tips and tricks. The music was awesome, and his transitions were seamless. We also loved the app he uses for organizing music choices and categories, it really made planning easier. His DJ booth options were fantastic as well. We chose the media booth, and he replicated our design perfectly. David truly went above and beyond to make our day amazing. We can’t recommend him enough!
