For the dreamiest weddings, needlessly lit parties, and all the priceless memories. My name is Andrew and I'm a Virginia based DJ/Emcee or "Party Captain" as I prefer to call it. It is my absolute joy and privilege to run a business that specializes in creating and sharing once in a lifetime experiences for the most beautiful awe-inspiring people. Though, at this point there have been many, every wedding, party, and dance, I'm lucky enough to captain still brings me childlike joy and excitement just like the first time I was entrusted with a precious janky aux.

The UEC is not your average DJ company. We a team of young but experienced professionals who are forcing the industry to step up its game.     We met Andrew at the Richmond Wedding Expo at the beginning of our planning process. We felt like it was a good match and once we did more research we were impressed with how competitive their pricing was. Our DJ was Joel for our event and we had Owen as our MC. Both were absolutely great and went above and beyond expectations on the day of. Communicating with Joel throughout the planning was great and he quickly cut up songs at our request for specific dances. We are so happy with our decision and would recommend Upchurch Entertainment to everyone. We are ready to do it all over again!!

    Andrew and his team DJ'd our daughter's wedding reception. He and his team did a phenomenal job! They were very professional and organized. They really brought the energy and kept the party going. Their website portal was easy to use to be sure we were all on the same page with song selections, emcee needs, timeline, etc. We received many compliments after the event on how amazing they were. People kept dancing and stayed until the very end. From the arrival of guests, to introduction of the couple, toasts, first dances, cutting of the cake, dancing and the grand exit, he worked well with the wedding coordinator to ensure that the entire event stayed on schedule and guests were having a good time. All the details were carefully arranged ahead of time so that during the event we were able to be present in the moment and really enjoy our daughter's wedding and reception. It was an amazing time! I would highly recommend Andrew Burlingame and his team at Upchurch Entertainment for any DJ needs. We would definitely use him again!

    Andrew was an amazing DJ! He provided services for our vow renewal and did an upstanding job. From prior to the ceremony to the end of the reception, he was so professional. The ceremony ran an hour behind. He was patient and understanding with the change. Given the change in time, he was still able to do his best to play all the must have songs and engaged well with the guests. He had a great energy, very calming on such a crazy day! We will recommend him to anyone needing a DJ and will use him again for future events! Thanks so much for a great experience! His pricing was also the best we could find for the exceptional service we received!

    Honestly can’t say enough about how good/easy it was working with Upchurch Entertainment. All logistics, planning, and coordination leading up to our wedding were smooth and effortless. We worked with Andrew to be our wedding DJ/emcee and things couldn’t have gone better. I was a bit nervous about working with a wedding DJ, as I was unsure of what type of feel or environment we’d be signing up for. However all my fears were dispelled as our day went on. Andrew did a phenomenal job of reading the room and making sure the music always matched the mood of what was going on. From toasts and slow dancing to full on dance party, Andrew brilliantly facilitated the entire process. Many of our guests have since commented on how great the music and feel of the wedding was. My wife and I both agree that hiring Andrew was one of the best vendor decisions we made. Completely overdelivered - wouldn’t hesitate to work with him again and we’re actively promoting Upchurch Entertainment to our friends!
