Brian and Alexa met in 2016 when he was pursuing his dream operating a café in North Park. This venture was called Grinds & Vine Coffee Bar, where the community was the most important factor of his establishment. One day Alexa came in as a guest to study and have some coffee. She was quickly mesmerized by the PB&J sandwich and their delicious cold brew options. They shared some great conversations about food and life then quickly became friends, which then blossomed into something more. Who would have ever thought a PB&J, a cold brew and a conversation would turn into love and marriage.

“Off the Vine Dining was recommended to me by a friend and it was the best rec I have ever received. OVD catered our wedding and served us possibly the best chicken I’ve ever had in my life, along with every other food item that night. Even the dessert was delicious, every ingredient was real and homemade, even the whip cream. Every piece of food served to us was made by hand and it tasted as such. I never expect to eat a lot when I attend a catered event, let alone an event I throw because I have a sensitive stomach. But I was able to eat everything and go back for seconds. If you’re looking for kind, honest and talented people to cater any event you’re having, don’t look anywhere else but Off the Vine Dining! “We could not have been happier with the service we received from Buckboard as the catering provider for our wedding. Right from the initial meeting Ashley, (Buckboard’s sales manager) gave us a personalized introduction and very friendly tasting. It was clear from this initial interaction that she cared more about our experience and less about just becoming one of their customers. The food was/is absolutely delicious. Every single item was cooked perfectly, and it was clear from the initial tasting that their chefs and cooks take genuine pride in cooking high quality meals that do not come off as “mass produced” like a number of other caterers in the area. We have lost count of the number of guests who told us during and after the meal that it was by far the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding, and this is reflective of the company as a whole. Ashley and JP (the Chief Operating Officer) were both present during the planning process, and worked with us directly to determine a menu that would be both wonderful for the guests as well as within our budget. When dietary restrictions were presented, Ashley and her team made the accommodations easy and care free, and provided options that were also delicious. She and her staff were so friendly and professional on the day-of that a number of guests went out of their way to comment on the crew. We cannot rave enough about the services we received from Buckboard Catering. To make matters better they also operate a full-time restaurant in El Cajon, which we plan on frequenting regularly when visiting San Diego. For prospective couples planning a wedding, choosing Buckboard as your caterer will not only put your mind at ease knowing the quality of service you will be receiving, but you and your guests will be absolutely thrilled with the meal you get to enjoy.”

“Chef Cooper and his team are an amazing group of people. I did not have to worry about a single thing in regards to food for my wedding reception. My reception was only 40ppl so, if you are having a small wedding reception, definitely look into Krafted Culture to cater it. I looked into other caterers before I came across Krafted Culture but their minimum to cater started at 60ppl and up. Communication was excellent through the entire process and customizing menu to accommodate allergies and vegan guests was not an issue. Everyone loved the food, especially the tri-tip! What was also convenient is that they also rent out tables, chairs, and table linens. Highly recommend!”

I have never worked with such thoughtful and kind caterers, they really thought of everything and made the night such a wonderful and stress free experience for us. Chef Jazzy is the private chef behind Anjahles Cali-Caribbean Cuisine, a special events-focused catering company blending fresh California ingredients with soulful Caribbean flavors. What began as a small pop-up in a Los Angeles park grew into a celebrated concept featured in the LA Times, Infatuation, Food Network’s “It’s Compliplated,” and Food & Wine. Today, she creates custom menus with plant-based and traditional options, happily accommodating all dietary needs so every guest feels cared for. With a background in anthropology and culinary arts, she loves turning each couple’s love story into a memorable meal.

“Jazzy and Anjahles catered my wedding in December 2021. The process was smooth from the get go. I think we were their first wedding, but you would have never known. Jazzy was professional in communication and following up with our requests. We wanted the menu to be half vegan and half non-vegan and it delievered. Our guests couldn’t decide what their favorite items were. I still dream about the onion tarts and crab cakes!! They were an amazing part of our special day and I would recommend them to anyone. The food was so flavorful and was served timely. We love Anjahles!!!”
