“The photographer, videographer, and photo booth was absolutely perfect and our guests had a blast! However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”

Chris Funkhouser (who seriously brought the funk!) was amazing to work with! During our consultations he was able to answer all our questions and concerns. He was able to put his swing on things from his experience to help provide the right vibes we were looking for. We pretty much already knew all the songs that we wanted to play so the program they used was perfect! It was detailed in the timing of the night, how long or short to play songs and any other special requests we wanted to have. On the night of the wedding, Chris was a blast -energetic, observant, and focused on keeping the dance floor alive all night long. He even joined us out there, helping to keep the party going strong! He was able to use his best judgement in placing some of the lighting and monogram details we chose which turned out great! Saroj James Hyoju, got into DJ industry upon walking into Latin club in Dallas, Texas in 2015. Coming from band background, he was surprised to see how people were moved by “Gasolina”, a reggaeton song. Observing how DJ was controlling the crowd’s energy while enjoying himself, this made him curious about club music genres, besides metal and rock. Following immediately, he hosted a Bring Your Own Beer (BYOB) house party, where 50 people showed up. A week later, he was invited to co-DJ at one of his friends’ wedding reception and rest is the history.

We wanted a DJ who understood that all we needed was a professional to help keep the guests on pace for the cocktail hour/reception without 'stealing the show.' He was the right man for the job. He was extremely responsive to our needs and desires, no frills, just good music to keep everyone moving. Jordan was amazing during the entire planning process, he always replied in a timely manner and made every little request I had seem like no biggie and made it happen! He provides access to an online portal (extremely cool!!) which gives you the opportunity to give him a general idea of the type of music you want and keeps things extremely organized...Now more importantly, he literally had the crowd on the dance floor the ENTIRE time... and I’m not exaggerating. (People were texting me days later that they’re sore from dancing the whole night!) He is able to read the crowd and deliver. Its been a few months since the wedding and I STILL receive compliments about the DJ - how incredible the music was and how awesome his lighting work was.
