Truly the most beautiful venue and so much care goes into each thing they do! From the very start, everything was perfect! The food is absolutely amazing, all of our guests have been talking about it; neither one of us even like cake, but we loved theirs!! The entire property is gorgeous and meticulously cared for, they even grow ingredients there for the freshest best tasting meals. Communication was fantastic, they were on top of everything, and executed it extremely well. The entire team was so kind, helpful and professional but still so fun to have around! Haley and Kate singlehandedly saved the ceremony when we realized halfway through the rings never made it out of the house, they were already on it and running them down for us! We cannot say enough how much we adored everyone there and how just wonderful everything was! We highly recommend them!

The owners have done a phenomenal job renovating this church. It’s the perfect space for hosting a variety of events. It is a beautiful venue space surrounded by mountain views with the perfect backdrop of grandfather mountain as you say “I do”. Inside the lighting and ceilings were a sight in itself. From day one the staff has been amazing. The Venue Manager, Pam, was easily accessible and prepared to answer any question that I had. She was ready to accommodate whatever I needed and even made the time to let me view my table layout in person because I needed the visual to see if our game-plan could work. The venue coordinator, Gracie, is an absolute doll and just as sweet to work with. I wish I could get married all the time, just so I can visit them at the venue!

Something Blue Mountain Venue was our first and only choice for our wedding venue. The views are breathtaking and it is like nature herself decided to give the perfect frame for every photo. The owner Lisa is wonderful and really makes it incredibly easy to show up and enjoy! She gave the best recommendations for vendors. Recent renovations even made a fully enclosed bar area perfect for sipping and staying warm in the winter. We had 35 people and it was the perfect size even though 35 was the maximum number of guests. Overall, not a chance in a million years I would prefer any other venue. Highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend. Thanks Lisa!

In 1929, Jean-Pierre Auguste Dalmas, a Waldensian immigrant from Villar Pellice, Italy, started construction on the dairy barn on his property in Valdese, NC. After the barn had been completed, work began on the main house. He built a rock veneered masterpiece, large enough to house his 7 children. He cleared a field for a vineyard and until his death in 1972 (at the age of 92), he made wine in the basement of the main house every autumn.

Venue considerations

  • Not for you if you prefer a more modern aesthetic

Waldensian Heritage Venues provided a truly unique and memorable experience for my client’s wedding. The venue had a mysterious and authentic ambiance and reasonable price point. The layout was easy to navigate, which made it simple to keep the bride and groom separate before the ceremony. We were particularly impressed by the beautiful lighting at the top of the stairs, which created a stunning backdrop for our first look photos. Overall, Waldensian Heritage Venues exceeded our expectations and helped make our special day even more magical.

Henderson Acres is truly beyond anything we could’ve hoped for with our wedding venue. First their actual outdoor space and house is so beautiful it is straight out of a magazine- picture perfect. The decor and stone within the house is such an elevated look we were in awe of. They are constantly adding things to the space and not to add things you need to pay for but to offer plenty of things for you to enjoy to use during your day. For instance there was several items of decor we used from them that we decided day of to use and the flexibility of that is incredible. They have a reasonably priced furniture package that their venue staff helps set up on wedding day and they have a retractable tent in case of inclement weather. Next the staff is absolutely incredible. Seriously beyond kind, helpful, responsive, and authentically caring. Planning the wedding was a dream with them, and the staff the day of was beyond kind and helpful ensuring the day ran smoothly. An example, we had one guest who was in a wheelchair and had to have an uber come to the venue for pick up/drop off - the staff without being asked drove to the bottom of the driveway waited for the uber and personally escorted them to the top. That kind of hospitality was noticed by our guests who raved about their kindness. I could write about so many more amazing things this venue has to offer. We received countless (truly countless) compliments on this venue and the venue staff - from the beauty of the space to the kindness and authentic care everyone felt. Our photographer captured the day perfectly with such beauty and somehow you’re still amazed seeing the space in person. I think there is something special about a family owned business and this venue is a prime example of it! Without a doubt the best decision we made in our wedding planning was booking Henderson Acres after so much searching - couldn’t recommend more!!!!

As a photographer, I’ve had the privilege of working at Paradise Family Farm for a while now, photographing multiple weddings and hosting mini sessions there, and I truly can’t say enough wonderful things about this venue. First and foremost, the owners are some of the kindest, most genuine people you’ll ever meet. They are incredibly easy to work with, organized, and always go above and beyond to make sure every detail is just right. Over the years, our professional relationship has grown into a friendship, and I honestly look forward to every opportunity I have to work with them. The property itself is absolutely stunning. From the beautifully restored barn to the picturesque outdoor ceremony space and beautiful mountains, every corner of Paradise Family Farm photographs like a dream. The scenery is full of charm, making it the perfect backdrop for weddings, engagement sessions, family photos, and seasonal minis. And then there are the Highland cows! They are such a unique and memorable part of the experience. Guests and clients absolutely love the opportunity to spend time with the smaller Highland cows (like Fast Freddy), and they add so much personality and fun to photo sessions. Paradise Family Farm is hands down one of my favorite vendors to work with. Not only do they provide an incredible experience for their couples and guests, but they also support other local businesses such as myself and many others. Their generosity, professionalism, and genuine care for the people they serve make them truly one of a kind. If you’re looking for a breathtaking wedding venue with amazing owners who will make you feel like family, I cannot recommend Paradise Family Farm enough. It is truly a hidden gem, and I feel so lucky to have been part of so many beautiful memories there. — Wendy Scott, Shew Ridge Photography

I wanted a wedding venue in the mountains of North Carolina. I viewed so many venues from Salem to Banner Elk. Nothing compared to The Fields of Blackberry Cove. They were easy to set up a viewing appointment with. They walked us all around the property, including multiple ceremony options and a large guest house with a bridal suite and two guest bathrooms. Doug, the owner, offers his own catering which was beyound incredible. We did a buffet style and it was all delicious. Doug even made me my own cauliflower steak - I'm a vegetarian. Through the entire process Doug and his team, especially Carmen, were a pleasure to work with.

From the moment we booked Redbird Ridge Estate for our wedding, the staff were readily available, kind, and extremely helpful. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, with a modern and inviting atmosphere that made our special day feel so warm and personal. They were able to fulfill my request to rearrange some of the furniture to better suit our needs, and even allowed me to rent a tent to cover the back deck so my caterer could easily set up and tear down our dinner buffet. The only downside was the lack of a full kitchen, which did make it a bit more challenging for the catering team. But overall, Redbird Ridge Estate went above and beyond to make our wedding day perfect, and I'm so grateful we chose this stunning venue.
